I HATE GIVING A BAD REVIEW, BUT THIS TIME WAS VERY BAD SEE IMAGES I ORDER ALL AMERICA SLAM I order a nice and crispy Hashbrown But what I got was burned oily Hashbrowns, Maria I believe that way the lady who cooked my breakfast and my eggs some spots where burn my bacon burn I Return my plate because it was not Edi request eggs. Disappointed, disappointed, this place always has great food, great service. But this time they fail. Not sure if I'll be going back. I hope next time if I ever stop at this location, Maria is not the chef

Why am I showing an empty plate? Because this is how my plate looks every time I order the Bourbon Street Chicken Skillet, when I finish. You get 2 decent sized chicken breasts, grilled potatoes, and steamed vegetables covered in a sweet Bourbon glaze. Ever since I found this on their menu, it's the only thing I've ordered the 10 or so times we've been to Denny's in Ramona. And, I've left my plate emptied! You might not like Denny's or think it beneath you. But, the Bourbon Street Chicken is better than the majority of meals we had at "higher quality restaurants." Give it a try!

I'm blown away at the Denny's in Ramona, it's the best place to eat up here! Cob salad, omelettes, sandwiches, dinners like steak and pot roast, smoothies (strawberry banana is my kid's favorite) the best burgers, etc. Something for everyone and the owner Fernando makes sure everything is perfect... everyone in town knows this already but to anyone else it's a good little secret.. people drive by thinking all Dennys are the same, and want to go to a cafe...NOPE ...All I have to do is bring family and friends one time, then next time they come up they only want Dennys. This 5 star Dennys is the only one I eat at.. it is so good and it has to be because of the man who runs/owns this place Fernando and his team, make this Dennys feel like home and the food taste sooo good. This Dennys needs some type of award and the other Dennys should really see what's going on up here and follow suit!

I have eaten here off and on for 17 years, and I'm pleased to report that the Ramona Denny's has really turned things around! Could not have been more evident during my last visit! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner experience here and will certainly be back soon. I was astonished at not only the level of attentive service, but how quickly everything came out! I remember back in the day being the only one in the restaurant and waiting literally 30 minutes for a simple breakfast to come out. And I'm not exaggerating on either account. I tried one of their new burger specials, the "Southwest Chorizo Burger". Beef burger blended with chorizo sausage and topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, pepper jack queso and some sort of five pepper sauce. Served with lettuce, mater, red onions and pickles on a cheddar bun, with fries. Only $11.19. The burger was outstanding with a distinct smoky and spicy chorizo flavor. As hearty as that bun was though, it succumbed to the hot & juicy patty and moist burger-set. After a few bites it all turned into a hot mess, but it was delicious. Highly recommended.

Visited 9/12/2018 Late night in Ramona and not a lot of food choices. Decided to give Dennys a try. Chocolate shake was very tasty. The Prime rib cheese melt was disappointment as it no way look like the picture on the menu. This prime rib was tasty that's where the sandwich left off. It was smothered in some kind of cheese sauce and not very good at all. 2Stars. Not recommended. The stack bourbon bacon cheeseburger was quite a surprise. A delicious burger cooked near perfectly covered with cheese, grilled onions, grilled bell peppers, and a delicious bourbon sauce. I never thought I would say that this burger was quite tasty and I would try it again. 4 Stars all day. Service was good place was nice and clean I would definitely stop here again.

If anyone read my review before I deleted it, I had some misgivings about this place. Upon speaking with the manager, Fernando, he was friendly, professional, and was more than ready to address my concerns. Based on him alone, I will be sure to give this place another try. I feel that it would be less than fair to give this place any less than five stars based on his excellent customer service. Nice job, Fernando.

The choices are limited here for Vegans but we do enjoy the byo burger. They changed their patty earlier this year and the one they serve now isn't as good, but it is still the only burger for miles that we can eat. Recently, we ordered online and picked it up to eat at home. Opening the burgers was disappointing to discover that both burgers were loaded with pickles, which we don't like and it wasn't what we ordered. Checking our online order form and the email that Denny's sent back confirming our order, against our receipt from our local Denny's, we discovered that there is a communication gap between them. Bottom line, this is still the only place nearby that serves a burger without meat. The food is ready when they say it will be. We occasionally want a burger but prefer to eat at home. Ordering online creates a problem. Maybe we will try shorter instructions. "xtra lett&tmt. No pickle". It might fit on the line but not sure if it will go through or if they will understand it if it does. Or maybe call to order. It is an inconvenience to open up an order and take it apart to see what is on it but if you prefer certain things, check your order for accuracy before leaving the restaurant.

Either my standards for food have gone up or Denny's has gone down hill. I went to give it one more shot today since my last visit wasn't good, and unfortunately it hasn't gotten better. The prices have skyrocketed (which I know is a universal thing) yet the quality has suffered. My meal was $8 for half a tiny sandwich that was missing ingredients and had very questionable Turkey meat in it. The Turkey meat was pale and had grey patches throughout it. The fries were flavorless and only made better with the side of ranch I asked for. Everyone else's meals I went with had similar reactions as me, low quality food for a higher than it should be price tag. Only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one is because the waiter was very kind and apologetic about the state of the food.

I have mixed feelings about this Denny's. On one hand, they greeted me warmly as I entered the eatery. But on the other hand, my server wasn't particularly friendly towards me. He was proffessional, but I'll take friendly over proffessional any day. He was knowledgeable and helpful. But not do attentive. He didn't stop by to see how everything was nor to sell me anything else before dropping off the check. He ran off so fast after he dropped it off that I couldn't ask for a refill on water. That's ok I some water in my car. My order came out quickly and as requested. The eggs were perfect, over easy just as I ordered. The biscuit was light and fluffy as a biscuit should be. I could have used a little more gravy. Speaking of which it had plenty of sasage was thick without being too thick and tasted good. For my personal preference, I did add a little salt and pepper. The hash browns were good, nice and crispy on one side, had my server been a little more attentive, I would have asked for extra crispy on both sides. The establishment was clean and well maintained. The man at the counter was friendly. I showed him My CDL which shows my Veteran Status and asked if it qualified me for a discount. He said yes thank you for your service. It got me 15 %. I originally rated this Denny's at 3 stars. But I reevaluated the situation and didn't think it was fair to judge the whole experience solely on one server. 4 stars for Denny's and 3 for the server. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps he is new to this line of work and will improve with time.

Metal chairs and wooden booth/bench that lines the front and side of the restaurant. Pillows are spread across the booth/bench for those needing a little back support. We were seated quickly and our waitress addressed us promptly, which is much appreciated. I ordered the nonalcoholic blackberry mojito. It took all of my might not to drink it all at once. So refreshing, not overly sweet. We ordered the Brussel sprouts appetizer, which appeared faster than we had expected. Yummy I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with the fried chicken. He ordered the burger. Fettuccine light but with excellent flavor, the fried chicken was moist and not over coated. The burger was oozing with beef juices. Although his mashed potatoes were a bit dry, the gravy was very tasty. I'd say the atmosphere is casual, but not shorts and tank casual. Definitely not business casual or dressy. The staff were all so kind and checked in on us and attended to our needs when requested. Go in and check it out for yourself, you won't regret it. That commitment to quality and sustainability is commendable and something more restaurants should strive for. The staff is knowledgeable, and it's refreshing to see a restaurant that cares about where its food comes from. Unfortunately, that attention to ingredient sourcing seems to stop when it comes to cooking oils. Many of the menu items are prepared with soybean oil, which was disappointing given the otherwise high-quality and health-conscious image of the restaurant. Soybean oil is highly processed and contains large amounts of omega-6 polyunsaturated fats. While omega-6 fats are essential in moderation, excessive consumption relative to omega-3 intake has been associated with increased inflammation in some research. Soybean oil is also more susceptible to oxidation when exposed to high cooking temperatures, potentially producing compounds that some studies suggest may contribute to oxidative stress. In addition, many health-conscious consumers actively avoid industrial seed oils such as soybean, corn, and canola oils in favor of alternatives like olive oil, avocado oil, butter, or tallow. I would gladly give Marinade on Main a higher rating if they aligned their cooking oils with the same local, high-quality standards they apply to the rest of their ingredients. Switching to avocado oil or olive oil or beef talo would be a welcome improvement and would better match the restaurant's otherwise impressive commitment to quality. * also loose the standard strip of high fructose sodas and provide more natural optikns of drinks ...

I had heard great things about this place, which makes it even more disappointing. The only positive was the quaint country ambiance, including a nice old mural on the wall. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Sunday morning, so that's understandable and not part of my rating. The food, however, was inedible. I should note here that I came in quite hungry and with a specific hankering for a greasy chicken fried steak and eggs, so I was in a very easy to please state. I ordered the eggs "over medium," and the eggs came out with raw, runny whites and were also cold. The toast didn't arrive until 5-10 minutes later, so everything just sat there getting colder. The "steak" was mostly fat and gristle. The first couple of bites I ate were gristly but doable with help from the gravy - but the third bite was a giant glob of gristly fat that I couldn't even chew - i spit it out and that's all I ate. The hash browns tasted like frozen unseasoned potatoes with only a patch of sear on the outside while the bulk of it was mushy and pasty and gross. Of the whole meal I basically only ate my toast plus a bite or two of each thing on my plate. I left feeling sick to my stomach. After dropping off the food (and later the delayed toast), our server never checked back. No refills, no follow-up. When she finally returned, she asked to clear my very full, barely touched plate without any acknowledgment. I had to volunteer that the food was inedible. The response was dismissive and rushed, with no effort to understand the issue or make it right. An offhand "sorry about that" was offered while walking away, followed shortly by the $60 bill. The complete lack of accountability and concern was frankly abhorrent. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I won't be back. I would have left hungry except that I was queasy from the gristle and paste.

I even brought friends who had never been here before, thinking it could become one of our regular stops when we're out hitting the trails. Instead, it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth... and not just from the food. Waitress: Where do I even start. She claimed she was hard of hearing--but her attitude spoke loud and clear. Tossing menus on the table, aggressively slamming salsa down, and getting snarky over being off because our party count was off by one person. Seriously? It took two seconds to adjust the table, but apparently that was just too much. Yes, she technically did her job... but with such a cold, unwelcoming, and rigid attitude that it made the whole experience uncomfortable. What really stood out? We were there first and ready to order, yet she chose to take care of every smaller table that came in after us. No communication, no "I'll be right with you," nothing. Just ignored. Basic courtesy clearly isn't part of the service here. And trust me--I used to be a waitress. I handled large parties all the time and actually communicated with my tables. It's not that hard. Honestly, if gratuity hadn't already been forced onto the bill, she would've gotten $0. The only pleasant person we encountered was the busser--quick, friendly, and actually seemed like he wanted to be there. Maybe swap their roles, because he outperformed her by a mile. Food: Let's talk about the food... if that's what we're calling it. Everything came out cold. Not "warm-ish," not "could be hotter"... just straight up cold. It felt like our plates were sitting under a heat lamp for way too long before making it to the table. One "white" friend asked to have her meal fixed--fine, no problem. But when another "Hispanic" friend asked the same thing? Suddenly there was attitude, menu slamming, and mumbling under her breath. So... what exactly was the difference? Why the inconsistency and hostility? If the kitchen is that backed up, maybe management should step in and help instead of letting food die in the window. Just a thought. Final Thoughts: This place had potential... but that waitress single-handedly ruined it. We'll be taking our group (and our money) elsewhere--Dudley's Bakery is looking like a much better option moving forward. I usually bring large groups out here, so this isn't a small loss. Unfortunately, if this is the level of service they're okay with, this place isn't going to improve anytime soon. At this point, it's less "Farmhouse charm" and more "junky barn energy."

Food was amazing. Atmosphere was great, music wasn't too loud but enough that it wasn't silent in there. Staff was friendly and attentive and they clearly know what their doing. Now the food, the FOOD. Best wings I've had in a very long time. So fresh and fall off the bone. I will be coming back for wing Wednesday! I ordered the steak frites and my son got the kids Mac n Cheese. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the Demi glaze was delicious. His Mac n cheese was a top contender. I was shocked. So flavorful and clearly homemade. Then we get to dessert. I almost screamed when I found out one of my absolute favorite places in PB directly supplies their dessert counter. Absolutely amazing. I hope this place continues to get the attention it deserves and I will be recommending it to people in town! Thank you ladies for an amazing meal and experience

First (and last) Time…read more Our visit was around 1:00 pm yesterday. It was my first time at this restaurant. Our party of three was seated but not greeted. When I asked the woman who seated us if they offered vegetarian food, she simply said she didn't know. The dining room was not busy, but there were seven tables occupied and one waitress. She didn't take our orders for 20 minutes. She never stopped to say anything, like "hi, I'll be right with you" or even one word. She never looked at us. I was finally ready to go across the street to La Cocina, which has the best Mexican food in Ramona at reasonable prices, but one of the two people I was with didn't feel like following me. When she finally came to our table, there was no smile, no apology, nothing. She didn't talk, unless she was responding to a question. Although there were vegetarian meals on the menu, the menu itself said they had another menu with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free options. I asked for one. Apparently, the two employees there forgot it existed. The food was mediocre and not worth the high prices. Poor, unfriendly service plus expensive, over-priced food equals not returning to this restaurant. I'm actually surprised this place is still in business.

Visually, it's a stunning cook--great muscle texture, a beautiful smoke ring, and a perfect bark. All the intense flavor and smoke live between the surface and that inner pink ring, so make sure your bite includes a bit of both. Man, what a delicious bite. I've been to that Michelin-recommended BBQ joint east of DTLA, and Pete's 100% blows it out of the water. This place makes California BBQ proud (that other spot is an embarrassment). I only wish they offered some zesty sides to pair with the meats to take it to the absolute next level! 1/3 lb Sausage: First bite delivers a perfect snap followed by great meat texture. Initially, you get hit with a slightly heavy saltiness, followed by a sharp, spicy goodness. I was on the fence after the very first bite, but the more you eat, the more the saltiness balances out. That snap, texture, spice, and salt combo just gets better and better until you realize you can't stop eating it. It is incredibly good. Pairing it with a creamy side perfectly complements the kick. Cornbread Upgrade: YES! The cornbread itself is delicious--excellent texture, great corn flavor, and a very mild sweetness. Plus, it comes with a honey butter blend that is next-level delicious. It was a very pleasant surprise just how good this was!

The eggs and hash browns were mediocre at best, and the bacon was so overcooked it had the texture of a chip and was way too salty. It was all fine, just nothing special--something I could've easily made at home for better taste and a lower price. The menu overall felt overpriced for the quality, especially since most items were $17+. Customer service was fine, but nothing stood out or made the experience better. The food did come out quickly, which I appreciated, and our drinks were refilled in a timely manner, which made the experience smoother. The one true highlight was the sourdough toast--it was actually really good. For comparison, places like Broken Yolk Cafe offer breakfast-style meals at a lower price with comparable (or even better) quality and portion sizes, which made this restaurant feel overpriced for what you get. Their website lists prices as $10-$20, but in reality most items I saw were $16+, so the pricing felt higher than expected and feel that should be updated ! That said, I personally find this place a bit too pricey for the overall food quality.
