So I will do separate reviews, but this one goes out to the chef and SELECT staff that have been there this week! The past 4 Denny's locations we have been to were absolute trash, incorrect orders, slow service and very small portions. This specific location has AMAZING portion sizes and the food is always A+++. Even on busy days the chef is serving amazing meals. Today I believe the manager and the chef were cooking in the back and did an amazing job! Very impressed! We have had 2 servers in the past 3 days that we really enjoyed service from, one had blonde hair and rose tattoos on her arm and the other had brunette hair and tattoos as well, those girls were amazing, even on busy days they weren't making excuses, kept our drinks filled, checked in on us at least 2 times, got us all of our condiments and had our check out at the perfect time. 2nd review is for 1 specific staff member. I'd probably give this a 1 star on service. Older woman with dark grey hair. My husband is a very patient man but for some reason this lady is slow every time we go. I waited 17 minutes for syrup that she would 'take 1 second' on getting, ended up reaching over the counter myself to grab it.. listened to her repeat at least 7 times that she was the only person there and heard her say it many times to other people (even yelled at a man who was waiting a very long time as well). She doesn't work very well under pressure and can't multi-task very well, I feel like the food industry is a bit much for her. Its clear that she's the only one but why does she keep repeating it to each customer more than 5 times, does she want us to feel guilty for being there? Looking for pitty? Sympathy? I worked in the food industry and I know what it's like to have employees call off and be the only one working. I would of at least seated a few gentleman who were waiting for so long and got a few people checked out and on their way out ASAP. It was just excuse after excuse with this lady and I'm not putting her name incase she wants to take this as constructive criticism and hope that maybe this will light a fire under her a**. Nobody has it easy, if someone calls out, work faster, don't try to make your customers feel bad for being there, just step up on your game and show everyone how bad a** you can work under pressure. Also heard them talking about taking turns with getting people checked out? What happened with putting the customer 1st and just getting them on their way when you clearly have a minute to spare? Doesn't make sense. Get them in and seated as fast as you can and checked out as fast as you can, that's how you keep a steady work flow. read more

Every time I come here there is only 1 server, I waited in line for over 30 min just to get seated. Completely understandable as there's only 1 person. Management really needs to hire or schedule more people on I'm assuming a busy day like Sunday read more

We were just passing through, and the restaurant had a sign that said that service might take a little longer because they were short staffed. It's in a rural area, and we visited later in the day, so there weren't many customers and it was quiet. The service was better than our local Denny's on a good day. It was a Denny's. What do you want? The service was reasonable. The food was everything that was promised. The decor was '70s. The price was 'Be careful what you order'. I once heard someone say that Denny's wasn't a place you went to. It's a place that you end up in. That is neither accurate nor inaccurate. I will return here. There is no doubt. read more

Nope. Too many things and on top of all that... my cheeseburger gave me food poisoning just before my son's wedding, and took a night and better part of another day where I had emptied my body to a husk. Poor service. Long wait times. Under staffed. It's attached to a truck stop, so take that as you will. I like places like that, a biy quirky....but it was dark. Too dark. I don't think I will ever eat at this or any Denny's again. read more

Great place to stop in middle America. Has the charm and views you would expect traveling. Service was wonderful, servers were constantly moving and checking on me. I enjoyed the conversations with management about the area. I love when I get the chance to engage with staff. The food was delicious and hot, perfect flavors and blending of taste. This is the first time that it was blatant that a Denny's employee show they were prejudice against white people. We had to seat our self because the employee that looked at us numerous times and did not seat us! But three Hispanic males came in right after us and she had no problem seating them. Hollie, Tina and Courtney, need to be trained on customer service and I would recommend the manager choose a different time for doing the inventory. This location really needs a person that can Lead from the Front and maybe have some type of customer service background. read more

Came in sat for 10 min and finally and finally someone out of uniform came up "wussup wutchu wont" ordered a chicken addiction bowl and got a side dish resembling the entree, also ordered two fried eggs to go on top that never came and when I asked about the eggs he replied "uhh oh they forgot huh" ‍ instead of oh shoot let me get those out for you or something like that.. Nebraska must be legal for weed cause all these people out here are slowwwww! If I had $5 on me I'd leave that on the table for my entree side dish and leave gonna go look for more food after this hefty meal. ...15-20 min later while I'm writing this review I'm still waiting for someone else I bring me the check. read more

Despite only two other customers sitting at the bar, I had to wait almost 10 minutes to be seated. On the way to my seat, I was informed about all the food they were out of, including avocado, tomatoes, and salad just to name a few. After being seated, I didn't see a waitress for 5 minutes, so when one finally arrived, I ordered both my drink and my meal. My food arrived quickly, but my waitress never returned, and I needed more to drink. I couldn't even find her as everyone stayed in the kitchen. After finishing my meal it took almost 20 minutes before she showed up and then another 5 minutes to get the check. I've never said this in a review before, but this experience was so bad. This location always has issues when I visit, and I hope it gets closed for good and replaced with a restaurant that wants to succeed and tries harder. read more

We both got showers here (J) and came in for breakfast. Yesterday we didn't get a good breakfast where we were at so today we had two steak n eggs! It looked great but Bf steak was wayyyy oversalted. The food was hot and delicious. My server, Courtney was very efficient and had a bubbly personality. She kept my coffee cup full with hot fresh coffee. They got my order out to me in impeccable timing. Cheesy scrambled eggs with perfectly crisp hash browns. The bacon was crisp and hot. I got 7 grain toast with a perfect amount of delicious butter. Highly recommend this location if you are passing through North Platte and wanna pull off of the interstate but not have to go too far off your path. read more

The food here was excellent and cooked very well. The service was amazing with the server checking our table for refills or to see if the food was good and the server was nice to us. The ambiance is pretty much the same as other Denny's but it was nice and quiet which I really liked. Holy cow, I've never had a hot breakfast served so cold it gave me the chills! Biscuits were so hard I couldn't stab them with my fork, gravy was gelled, eggs were running and cold, what? I don't know how they did it but it was horrible beyond words. Stay away!! read more

Megan was our server today. It was very busy when we arrived. We were told by another server that it would be at least 15 minutes before we could be seated due to a very large group (40). We were deciding if we wanted to stay when Megan came up to great is. She took the time to ask questions and explained it might be slower service but she would seat us right away. She was excellent at communicating with us through out our meal. Despite being very busy, she kept our drinks filled, got our order and checked on us. We did not mind the wait since she let us know what delays she expected each time she came by. The food was good but the service is what we will come back for. read more

Slowest Denny's ever, seriously. This isn't a one-off. And it doesn't seem to matter what time of the day or night I am there either. I have enjoyed similar experiences at this location in the past, but hoped they had worked out their issues in the interim time period. Guess not... I've been at this FJ the last couple of days to sit out a reset, so I've patronized Denny's a number of times. Omg, they are so slow. Obviously understaffed. Both on the floor and in the kitchen. Any time I have been here, there has been ONE server. For the entire room. They handle the orders, the serving, and the register. Sometimes another person steps up to assist with a couple things, like seating and register, but not always. There is always a line of people waiting at the entrance, either to pay or to be seated. More than once this meal, I heard them tell people waiting at the entrance that the kitchen wasn't taking any new orders for X minutes (like 20 each time) because they were backed up. Because I had heard them say this, I didn't order anything else for awhile, though I'd told the server early on that I'd also be placing a to-go order before I left. They seemed slightly annoyed that I was just sitting there for awhile, taking up a table, but they weren't taking new customers/orders because the kitchen was backed up! So I don't think they needed the table. After 20+ minutes had passed since I last heard them say no new orders, I decided I was ready to place my to-go order, and left the menu closed near the edge of the table. The server never came back. I waited nearly an hour, and tried to catch their eye a number of times, but with no luck. I finally realized how long I had been waiting to order, so I was deciding whether or not to just go ahead and leave when I heard them tell people at the entrance that they weren't seating any new customers or taking orders. Again! This seems to be standard operating procedure here, and I can't figure out why. It's been pretty busy every time, and would be busier if they'd allow more customers in. Staffing so few people is really cutting down on how many people they can even serve, so less money for Denny's (on top of leaving a lot more customers unsatisfied). It's so weird. read more

This Denny's is comparable to most other stores. We arived after an early start to a day of travel. The place is connected to a truck stop. It was practically empty. We were seated immediatly. There was one wsitress who spent most of her time in the back. The service was ok, the food was good. There was nothing terrible or outstanding about this place. read more

The food was great. However, the fryers were down so I couldn't have fries with my sandwich. Not a problem, except my side salad was an extra $1.50. Because it wasn't my fault, it should t have cost extra. Also, our waitress, (Angel T, according to our receipt) forgot to put our order in. We were there for an hour before our food arrived. There was apparently only one cook and so they were having to wait 15 minutes after seating people before they could even take their orders. I don't know who is to blame for the entire thing but I believe it mostly lays on corporate. Perhaps if wages were higher, they'd have more cooks. And if they had handheld pos devices like every other restaurant in this day and age, Angel wouldn't have forgotten our order. Please work on this. read more

After seeing all the bad reviews I was a little skeptical but our experience wasn't bad. Food was decent. My only complaint would be that the lettuce and cucumbers in salad weren't very fresh. KC was the only server and was also hosting. Only 1 other girl in sight at all and she was just standing or walking around with her cell phone to her ear while he was going HIGH speed. Even with all this he was very friendly and profesional. Felt management needed to know. A+ to KC, he is what made our visit! read more

I ordered take out. The cashier that took my order was friendly. The wait wasn't too long. When my order was ready to pick up it was ready in a to go bag. I asked for ketchup and that felt like an inconvenience. I got my order and walked back to my truck. As I headed down the road. I opened the bag to find one set of silverware. I ordered two eggs scrambled with cheese, two sausage links, two over medium eggs , two turkey bacon and gluten free muffin. NO BUTTER, JAM OR ETRA NAPKINS. One set of silverware. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and no cheese. The bacon was barely cooked and I asked for well done. I'm very unhappy about my order!!! read more
