Denny's has stepped up the last couple years. I noticed the pancakes and syrup seemed to have changed a couple years ago and they are really flavorful versus what they used to be. I lived in Las Vegas for the past 35 years and usually only went like once a year like on Veteran's Day or some Special. But someone must have gotten the memo and made things taste better , not so bland. This was my first time at this location. I ordered on the App , but asked the server if I could dine in instead of taking it to go which she said sure. I used the App because I had a 20% Off Offer , unlike my usual 10% Off for Veterans. I got the Build Your Own Grand Slam. 2 Pancakes , 2 Pieces of Bacon , 2 Scrambled Eggs , and Roasted Potatoes with Coffee. Everything was really good. The Coffee was perfect , not too strong and not watered down with a good flavor. I sometimes go to IHOP and noticed their coffee has gone weak and not very flavorful anymore. The Bacon was Smokey like an Applewood Flavored Bacon. Scrambled Eggs were cooked perfectly and a good portion. I quit going to Denny's years ago because it would seem like I was only getting one egg when it was supposed to be 2 and when I went to a couple that served grits as a side they gave me like a ranch size sauce bowl that would be like 5 tablespoons of Grits. Terrible. Pancakes were tasty and the bottle of Syrup was warm and a good amount of butter. My server was nice and came by to check on me several times and bring me a refill of my coffee. It wasn't really busy at the time , but there were other customers and employees helping them. The dining area was clean and also the parking lot was clean. I would recommend coming here if you haven't been before. read more

Went to Dennys for the first time in years this morning. When did Denny's get a bar? That is awesome. For breakfast Luci and I decided to try the new Carmel bananas pancakes slam. Everything was cooked to order which is so nice. The star of the shows was the pancakes and they did the spot for me. Luci was a big fan of the banana as she spit it out she did enjoy the red skinned potatoes, sausage, bacon and toast from grandma's plate though. She gave it two dew claws up. read more

Denny's just a classic diner, servers I am sure are overwhelmed because of employee shortage, but they did a great job on a Sunday brunch time. Food came out hot and in a reasonable amount of time. This Dennys has always been great! The waitstaff's always nice and attentive and my favorite which are the seasoned fries always comes out hot crispy. Definitely recommend, and especially grateful for them during those late nights when nothing is open! read more

I asked for one extra cream cheese frosting for my granddaughters pancakes. There is approximately one tablespoon of this frosting in this tub. Nothing said about an extra charge. Same thing every week when we go. The waitress brought 4. I didn't ask for 4 but I got them, charged for them and paid for them only because I didn't look at the check until my son brought it back. The manager on duty said she couldn't do anything only the general manager who would call me yesterday and didn't. Just an FYI do not buy the roast beef sandwich. The roast beef is cooked to the consistency of nasty mashed potatoes. I ate four bites of a plate that cost nearly $13. The attitude I received today tells me to spend my money elsewhere. read more

Myself and 3 of my children came here, waitress as soon as sit down wanting us to order. Got our food, my little girl got breakfast with black toast, I ordered chicken fried steak, my mac and cheese burnt, waitress ignored us then brought check when we only have been eating 10 minutes, very disappointed in this restaurant. Was here 2 weeks ago about 8:30 p.m. It was not busy but 2 large families were dining in. One waitress was on lunch. The one serving us was serving both large families. The hostess/manager sat us right away & rushed back to her post. She's chatting w/another employee. No one was helping the one waitress who was actually working. We waited to be noticed to order all while the hostess manager was chatting up the other employee when finally we got her attention to bring some water & get our order taken. Finally a half hour in, on a slow weelnight we got the order taken. I ordered a strawberry shake. My son ordered grand slam w/pancakes. Why did it take longer to get my strawberry shake than eggs & hashbrowns. We finished all that but still 15 min later still no pancakes. Still employees standing around doing nothing except get paid for nothing. Ended up in argument w/autistic girl who had no clue what was going on but her parents wanted to give her freedom of speech instead of walk her out. She cane to my table to harass us for defending the waitress that was serving both parties. We had no issues with the waitress but the girl was arguing w/us had zero clue we were fine w/our waitress. It was the other three women not helping. I videotaped the girl coming to my table to argue. This was going to be my new favorite place a month ago but that happened now it'snot. One thing I cannot stand is when an employee shouts at me & tells me off. The one that was on break earlier she did that. She should be fired. The Denny's in Norman, during the daytime is pretty darn good. Service is good, food comes out hot and tasty. After 5p, life changes dramatically. The food is rarely hot, still warm, but sits before it is brought out. The wait staff is under whelmed, unable to answer simple questions, brings out old coffee instead of brewing a fresh cup. Our utensils were not as clean as they should have been and there was no apology, only a weak "it looks like the spoon is damaged, not dirty." I used my water and napkin and wiped mine down .. they pepper the french fries - when my husband said something, it was a wimpy, oh, I don't know why they do that. No offer to replace them. The table was sticky. The restroom out of paper towels. Such a disappointment. Evening management and staff just don't care. It makes a person wonder what they do while waiting for someone to come in. To us, obviously as little as possible. read more

Very good breakfast. Pancakes were my husbands favorite. I loved the eggs and hashbrowns.service was fast even though they were busy. We got our food in less than 15 minutes with clean utensils and plenty of condiments. My only complaint is the coffee, it wasn't very hot,more like luke warm but that's okay because I got a big glass of apple juice as well.We live in Texas but if we lived here we would definitely come back. read more

Hadn't visited Denny's in over 10 years, decided to go last night. Worst dining experience of my life. I ordered the lumberjack slam, bacon & pancakes were rubber, the hashbrowns & eggs (ordered over medium) were both soggy, the sausage links were under cooked, and the ham was swimming in grease. Other than Cajun King in OKC, the worst food I've ever had. To top it all off spent 30 minutes at the cashier, because they couldn't figure out how to split the check 50-50. read more

We always eat breakfast at this Dennys but yesterday we didn't get there until 2pm so I decided to try the new chicken, bacon, ranch sandwich-ranch. The sandwich was very very greasy and had a fishy taste. I decided to eat it because I figured fish had been fried in that fryer . My wife told me to let them know. I told the manager after I paid so they didn't think I was just trying to get a free meal and she said I'm sorry you didn't like it but we don't deep fry any fish. We are going to change our oil tonight. I just said I thought I would let you know. We did a little running around and I wasn't feeling well and got to thinking about that sandwich and if they don't fry fish in the fryers why did it taste that way. About 3 hours later I ran into the bathroom and got very sick and I hadn't had anything to eat since that sandwich. I learned a lesson don't change my normal choice. read more

First off it was good there is not a complaint there, but the picture of what you think you order and what you actually get are a little deceiving. His personality was terrible and customer service was unprofessional. When my tea order missing was brought to his attention he acted like it was our fault. That was highly disappointing. I have missed Denny's and was very excited about one coming to Norman. We waited almost 45 minuets for cold food. It is a new restaurant, but it's been open for a month now. Our waitress was unpleasant, so it made our whole experience underwhelming. This review is totally based on time! We came in a few minutes before 12. Only about 10 tables occupied. Our waitress took our order at 12 and right now it's 12:28 and no food. I asked the waitress when it was coming and she said it should be soon...there were a lot of orders ahead of us. Of those aforementioned 10 tables, almost all of them already had their food. I will not be back. Finally got food, there's cheese on my hash browns that I didn't order and they're cold, as are the eggs. Total waste of money. They did an excellent job of renovating this building, and the atmosphere and decor is very pleasant to be in. I had a skillet breakfast, and it was the best skillet I've ever had--just delicious. I'd like to suggest that they turn down the country western music; it was too intrusive. By the time I left, I felt like I had a numb brain. It would be better if it was almost subliminal. read more

My mom and I came here to try it out, as we needed food and it was pretty late in the evening. We were greeted by two very friendly folks at the door and seated quickly. Our server was Mike, and he was spectacular! Friendly, attentive (but not too attentive), quick with refills, and just generally a personable guy. Our food came out quickly and was perfectly cooked. Tried to have something good to eat after 10 pm, so we thought we would go try the new Denny's out. There were many flies in the building that we had to keep swatting away which is something that is very understandable, they some how find a way in many restaurants. What really bothered me was that I clearly asked for an item to be left off of my meal and when it arrived, it was of course on there. The other person with me had to politely wait to eat her meal which I felt embarrassed about. When my order came out, it actually tasted like pure salt, I'm not sure if they rushed it or just accidentally put way too much on there, it was just awful. Lunch at the Norman location today. It took longer than it should have to place our order but our server was very courteous and attentive. The Ultimate omelet was outstanding! Lots of flavor with bacon, sausage, mushrooms and cheese. I highly recommend it. My wife had the veggie omelet from the 55+ menu and said it was delicious. Nice decor transition from Applebees to Denny's. Great job! I hope Norman supports this business and it brings more retailers back to this once thriving area. read more

So excited to have a Denny's in Norman. It's such a bonus when it's brand spanking new too! I was a bit nervous to go since last time I went to one in Okc it was so disappointing. But we were so glad we gave this location a try! At first I was surprised we weren't greeted right away... as the young guy at the front was watching the TV that's conveniently located right above the front of register but luckily the lady on duty reminded him to acknowledge the customers. Other then this our visit was a pleasant one. We were seated right away with our menus. Our server Sandy was extremely attentive offering us drinks right away. I watched as she hustled from table to table constantly with a smile, taking orders, serving drinks and food. She even gave us plenty of time to review the menu. Our food was brought out quickly, good and hot. We enjoyed our breakfast and time. My favorite part was chatting with Sandy. Such a lovely lady that stated she wasn't quite really for the rocking chair yet. Lol She was simply wonderful, I even observed her trying to soothe a crying little boy! Was seated quickly server immediately took my drink order then gave me plenty of time to figure out what I wanted to eat once the order was placed it was delivered to me in a very reasonable amount of time salad first was able to finish about half the salad before the dinner came very pleased with the mail the food of course is not your scratch made it is boxed but for box food it wasn't bad the server was attentive but not overbearing didn't stand there over my shoulder refilled my coffee cup twice which is plenty for Me and refilled my water once clean restaurant friendly staff everybody was joking it seems though that the the main manager on duty was a little stressed out but she stayed away from the customers and let her staff deal with that the customers the way that they were talk to Do kudos to y'all read more

This is my favorite breakfast place in all of Norman. The service and ambiance are unrivaled! Additionally the amount of food you get for $10 or so is remarkable. One of the top 10 worst ever dining experiences...never has been a 5 star visit...but tonight sealed the "might improve" envelope for us. I put a spoonful of the nastiest gravy ever...no, I said I've made nasty gravy before but I never tried to sell it to anyone. When I asked for the manager on duty to taste it because I was sure it wasn't supposed to be that bad. She assured me that it was made by corporate recipe, yes it's supposed to taste that bad.She encouraged me to contact corporate with my complaint. No sooner did we have that settled, then someone sprayed very heavily, Lysol, or that type of cleaner..and that was all I could smell and taste. I left 3/4's of my meal on the plate and explained why to the manager as I left. I was still charged for my complete meal. Yes, I will be contacting corporate!!! read more
