We had dinner reservations for Mother's Day for 8 people for 6:30 pm. We arrived on time and were informed our table would not be ready because their kitchen was backed up however after your hostess kept seating parties of 6 & 8 I spoke with the party and they told me they didn't even have reservations. We kept being told they were waiting for a table to free up but kept seating large parties with no reservations. We had 2 young children that were getting very restless after waiting 45 minutes after our 6:30 reservation made earlier in the day. I asked to speak with the manager and explained our concerns and the lame excuses we were getting by the hostess. He apologized and was miraculously able to seat us right away. Your hostess needs to be trained better in handling people that make reservations vs. walk ins. read more

Service and food were great and always are. This review is because I work at a restaurant in the area and I know how easy it is to have servers do a 10-15 minute group cleaning on the FOH before open. There was so much dust and actual spitballs on the light fixtures above us eating. Gross. The beautiful wood that is well known in BJs establishment was covered in greasy handprints and gross things all throughout the whole restaurant. Oftentimes lack of care to the FOH has guest wondering how much care goes into the BOH where their food is being cooked. Easy fix. read more

January 30 a group of friends and I went to BJ's for lunch. It was the first time for four of us. We were seated immediately and quickly brought water and menus. Our server was marvelous - answering questions, checking back with us regularly. After taking orders for entrees, she suggested leaving a menu with us so that we could see the pizzoli offerings. She offered to take photographs of our group since it was a going away luncheon for one of our ladies. Our food was delicious, service was fantastic, and I was anxious to show BJ's off to other friends. Today, February 11, was a different story in some regards. We were quickly seated by a pleasant young woman. We were brought water and menus. Our server today - where to begin, what to say. No smile, no cheer in her voice, acted rushed despite serving only 3 'groups' of two that I could see. My entrée was delicious. My friends pizza was not fully cooked in the center. The server laid our checks down before ever saying a word about the pizzoli that comes with each of the meals my friend and I had ordered. I had to bring it up. The server seemed 'put out' by my saying that we wanted the pizzoli that comes with the meals. It was my friend's first time at BJ's. She asked what types of pizzolis were served. Our server said, "Normally, it's chocolate chip with vanilla ice cream. But there's...." quickly rattling off some others (not all). If this had been my first trip to BJ's, I probably would never return. However, I'm going to attribute today's extremely poor service to just a bad day for our server. There were three other women, who at various times, stopped by our table and checked on us. Now to figure out how I rate my experience. January 30 easily 5 stars and more. Today's - now that's much harder. Maybe a 3 given my food was good, but friend's pizza was undercooked. Our server deserves one star at the most. read more

Let me start by saying the service was always really great, super attentive and kind. My issue was this - they offer a weekend 3-course special, either prime rib or pork chop, with a starter and dessert. When we arrived in town on Friday, staying right next to the restaurant, we came in for dinner around 7pm. They were out of prime rib, which is not a very late dinner start time so I would think you'd have your special. After the football game we came in again and I tried to order it. I was told they had 3 left, though somehow when my order went in they were out. I tried again Sunday, since we were watching football and didn't want to drive anywhere far. Even at 4pm, they were out of prime rib. I truly understand that waste is expensive and so limited quantities must be made, but I can't believe that I couldn't somehow get it 3 days in a row when it's a permanent special on the menu! The Pazookie is amazing. We actually went late night on Mothers Day just to get some dessert. It was late so it wasn't very crowded. Our server was very nice and attentive. I thought it was a wonderful gesture that they were giving out a gift to the mothers! BJ's has a lot of seating and several tvs to watch games. Our waitress Sarah was awkward from the start. She was very passive aggressive with her answers and taking our orders. When we ordered our food she seemed on edge. So we tried to make it simple. When another lady brought out our salad it wasn't as we had asked and she lied and said they didn't have iceberg lettuce. Sarah our original waitress came back to the table and she apologized for the mistake and snatched the salad off the table. We apologized and even said it's ok we'll go ahead and eat it. She said no it was my mistake and way later returned with the salad as we asked but it was smaller than the first. We asked if there was anyway to get extra ranch and that came after the platters and we just used a little off another order we made. There was a lot of eye rolling and walking off from the table before we finished asking for things, and when our orders were brought Sarah dropped them onto the table. We thought it was just us but then noticed she had the same demeanor with other tables. I did make a joke at the end that she reminded me of my ex and that's why I left a good tip. To lighten up. But she didn't seem to take it well. Afterwards she then didn't ever return with my friend's card. We had to wave another server over to request it. We told her of our experience and she blamed it on the establishment not having things and that Sarah was stressed out. I asked for the manager, but was told that they was really busy. We were quickly seated in a booth and looked thru the revised menu Hungry travelers we had a couple side ceasar salads and avocado eggrolls to start.. salad greens were fresh and crispy - beware it comes well dressed so if your counting calories etc you may want your dressing on the side.. The avocado eggrolls are outrageous, crispy and hot with cold avocado and yummy dipping sauce Entrees included the parmesan crusted chicken - came out HOT AND CRISPY. Very large portion with broccoli and cheddar mashed potatoes. Chicken came with a chardonnay butter sauce with sun dried tomatoes My wife had a ceasar salad with a large portion of salmon. There are 2 things that knocked down this much-frequented restaurant from 5 stars to 4: they discontinued my favorite burger, Mushroom-Swiss, AND more importantly, horrible and loud music. This was the first time my friend and I had to yell over the loud (and obnoxious) music, and we come here about 3 times a month. After we were finished with the meal, we wanted to converse and relax--couldn't do it. We had to escape to the car to have a conversation. The loudness of the music today literally drove us out. Our server, as in every time, was very pleasant and professional, and had we not felt under siege, she would have added to a pleasant and delicious Loaded Burger Day (every Wednesday). read more

Visited the Norman, OK location for the first time today. Checked in and was told a 45 minute wait so I gave my number to the hostess. We left across the street to Barnes and Noble, came back and sat in the parking lot. It has been 45 minutes, the lobby was empty (when it was packed earlier) and the host said "you're next." Honestly, people who arrived later than us got seated prior to us, it felt like we had to stay inside the lobby to get seated. Besides that, our server Alexis R was wonderful. He greeted us, took his time with us to get our order, gave refills and checked in with us to ensure we were doing ok. He had perfect timing! He is a gem to the restaurant and made our visit exceptional. We ordered the Calamari and Spinach & Artichoke dip for our appetizers. The Calamari was fried to perfection, my only complaint was not having lemon slices but that's because I love lemon with it. The Spinach & Artichoke dip was hot and gooey! My mom ordered the Enlightened Seared Ahi Salad, which she says tasted so good she wanted to order another one home. The dressing was light, tangy and sweet which made her want to keep eating. I got their weekend special Prime Rib which came with 2 sides, soup or salad and a Pizookie. Is it the best prime rib I've had? No. This one was a little tougher but damn was it seasoned good! And did I mentioned my special was only $30.99?! Caesar salad was bomb, FRESH HEALTHY LOOKING LETTUCE! Baked potato? BIG BIG! Monkey bread pizookie? As respectfully as I can say it, this place was terrible. My folks and I went in to eat today and while my salmon and my dad's steak were cooked correctly, I can't say the same for my Mom's burger. it first came to her raw. When the waiter asked her what was wrong, she pointed out that it was raw. His response was "do you want it well done?" My mom said she just wanted it cooked, not raw and not burnt. Waiter said he couldn't guarantee that the new burger wouldn't have some char on it. I just thought it would be a little chary around the edges but overall still be a decent burger. After perhaps 20 minutes of waiting, the burger came back and if you guessed that it was going to be burnt the second time around then you get a first place ribbon. It didn't just have grill marks no, it was burnt up. I had a piece and even though you could taste the original flavor of the burger you still had to fight though the burnt taste first. At least the lighting was nice i guess though the music was loud, Bathrooms were ok too but I only needed the sink so I'm not the bathroom guru. Overall it was pricy and service wasn't the best. I don't feel entitled to royalty service or anything but when you pay 15 bucks for a hamburger it better at least be cooked normally. Understand corporate determines how much each state gets and when, but needs to post that instead of now ready. What used to be a favorite place to eat is not getting a rave from me. Out of ingredients to make one of their specialty drinks. And even worse now, they forgot the shrimp in our jambalaya... Manager was great and did not charge for the jambalaya. $ 75 even without the jambalaya. Made 3 trips last year to get pumpkin ale, First wasn't tapped, Second just ran out more coming (a week after tapping), Third called they got it in, drove 90 minutes to OKC NOPE we are out. read more

Came in today to enjoy a special lunch with my wife and we got in quick for a party of two. Service was pretty quick all around and nice. Drinks were good, could have been blended a little more, mine had quite a few large pieces of ice. The Mac and cheese couscous balls were good, but a weird texture. My sandwich is where it kind of fell apart, meat was overcooked and the bread had a strange taste, not sure how to describe it. I would go back again and get some thing else. read more

This has to be the most positive experience at a BJ's. I'll lead off w the one negative aspect. We arrived for an early lunch (just after 11am) and the flood hadn't been cleaned or were already dirty. There were a ton of crumbs on and in the crack of our booth bench. Ok- moving on. Gabby, our server, was outstanding. Attentive, friendly, efficient. She brought refills for the kids sodas, boxes for leftovers, all with a genuine smile. Our food was hot, fresh, order was accurate. I loved the soft pretzel. The cheese dip was smooth and full of flavor and I especially liked the grainy mustard dip!! My burger was cooked perfectly, could have used more seasoning, imo. Bun was nicely toasted. All the extras. Even the presentation was great!! Kids loved their meals. The peanut butter s'mores pizookie was the best flavor we've ever had and I think we've tried them all! The marshmallows on top were the bomb!! We'll be back again soon. read more

I'm here now while sending this review, Nicole B is my bartender, came in at 10 knowing they close at 12...there are so many things, took a bit before greeted..then letting me know she's grateful it's dead and she doesn't have to do much as just came back from vacation (understandable but odd to tell me that) her friend at the end of the bar with and with a guy who works at BJs. She comes grab my order and rings my calamari and rushes me to order my entree so I order the ahi tuna salad and the both come out together she carries them both to me and proceeds I guess they are ready at the same time...then goes back down to her friend and I wait for 5 minutes after i finished my drink before I ask her for another beer while it's been empty...she proceeds to stay over at the end of the bar worried about what her friends wants and makes a drink for her and then hides it for her and gives it to her later.... Then when I get my 3rd beer which she was more prompt. But its cracked and cut my lip and she says "oh I didn't see that", now I haven't seen a manager but to be fair she didn't grab one especially when I barely touched my salad because it wasn't really good tuna tasted old. She'll remember me because I tipped 40 on 67.14 . So hopefully she's confronted with this and it is remedied. read more
