Stopped in here while in the area. Plenty of seating inside, our waiter was prompt and kept making sure we were all good. Chips and salsa was okay, 2 different styles of chips, one was harder shell and other as most chips, salsa was very flavorful. Wife had the Al Pastor tacos, she enjoyed them but not the taco truck goodness we are used too. Barracho beans are delicious, rice good and tender. Our son had the Quesabirria tacos which were small with mexi potatoes which he enjoyed. I had enchilada and taco dinner, enchilada was packed with cheese and the chili sauce was good, rice good and tender and barracho beans are good. read more

Food tasted great. However, It took 1 hr to get food and they were not extremely busy. Teas cost almost $5. Kid's meals were $8 and did not include a drink. Queso is extra. We were frustrated from the time it took to get the food and then in sticker shock from the bill. The staff was friendly and didn't charge us for the queso due to the wait. I wouldn't suggest bringing children or expecting to get out in a reasonable time. It was clean. read more

I have been visiting Trevino's for 15 years. What makes me go back is Sherri's love of making everything from scratch! I have never experienced bad service, The atmosphere is outstanding, and everyone has such a great sense of humor. I noticed there are people like myself waiting for them to open! lol On game day/night everybody's wanting to come to my house to watch basketball, football, etc. they know I'll call and place a big order from Trevino's and everybody just digs in till there's nothing left! Excellent service and great food! Chips were a little over cooked but we still chowed down! I got the Birria tacos with rice and beans. I was in heaven! Food was a lot more authentic than the normal texmex that's in Oklahoma. I can't remember what my husband had but he also cleaned his plate. We ate there tonight and wish we hadn't. The restaurant was not full, there were at least five servers. We were not waited on for over 30 minutes. And only after my sister told someone did they wait on us. There were four people in our group, we ordered two single orders of fajitas, one beef and one shrimp, one taco, a half order of nachos, and large queso. When we finished we got a to go box, and asked for chips and salsa to go with it (which they charged us 7$ for). The bill total came out to just less than $105.00. Subpar food and high prices will keep us from ever going back, not to mention the service we received. If i could give negative stars, I would. read more

The food is very good. The chips and queso are top-notch. The service is terrible. Like the worst I have ever experienced. We waited over an hour to get our food. We asked for refills, asked for chips, nothing. Here is the problem: they have 3 people working in front house. Thats serving all the tables, cashier, drink refills, etc. its impossible. People stood at the counter waiting over 10 minutes just to pay. It was awful. The sad part.... the food is really good. The service kills this place. They need to double their serving staff. There is no excuse for not keeping drinks and chips on the table. Hire one person to run the refills and cashier people out and hire a bus-person. Los Vaqueros in Mustang's food is mediocre at best but their service is phenomenal. Thats why people go there. Please fix the service because we love the food at Trevinos. read more

I was a little afraid, not of the atmosphere, but of the food. I probably should have canceled our order and walked out, but wanted to give them a chance. We came here because of all the 5 star reviews, but this place is no longer 5 star. If you take a look, the most recent review was from a year ago, and most are from 2016 and earlier. Things have really gone downhill. The service was slow--every sticky table was covered with old plates of old food, and no one was cleaning them or wiping them down the entire time we were there. We had paid and were walking out when someone finally came to bus a few tables. The food was bland, the service terrible, and there was no sense of urgency or hustle from the staff. I think this place has given up. I'm afraid to think of what I ate in that kitchen or refrigerator that I never got to "inspect." (Think Kitchen Nightmares.) read more

It was fun taking a little drive out of town to eat at Trevino's Mexican Restaurant. This restaurant is kind of hard to find at night because it's not lit up well. However, I found this to be part of it's charm. Once we entered the restaurant I first noticed the bandstand with a drum set. They do advertise that they have bands on Friday and Saturday nights. The young lady (owner's daughter) that is a hostess / waitress was really nice and pleasant to interact with. As it was our first time there she gave us a free order of their queso. The inside dining room is decorated in a beautiful green with lots of fancy ceiling fan/lights. What was awesome was that the overhead lights were turned off and each table had a small lamp. It made for a romantic atmosphere. It was kind of cute that at one point they were experimenting with paint color and tried some on a small portion of one wall. The cute part was that it was left there which gives a story to tell. I asked our waitress what she recommended and she told me about their chicken nachos with sweet jalapeños. I took the recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. The nachos are big and crisp. The chicken melts in your mouth and those candied jalapeños are really really good. All in all I'm glad to drove out to this restaurant. I figured anyplace that has a food truck must have some good food in their restaurant. I look forward to seeing them sometime at Blu Garten and perhaps another trip out to NewCastle. read more

Meh... ordered the ground beef chimichanga with salsa verde. The meat tasted funky. Not like a good Mexican cook would produce. The rice had a weird flavor as well. Tasted like the verde sauce had run into it somehow. They fry their own chips and the red salsa was very good. My wife ordered the puffy tacos. She liked the way they fried the tortilla, but it had the same funky ground beef that I had and she felt the same as me about the flavor. Our first and last visit there.
