The next morning my son was horribly sick with fever, chills, vomiting and diarrhea. My boyfriend and I were also sick but not as bad as my son. I do remember seeing a post about vermin earlier this year at this Polly's pie location . We will still visit the other locations although they are further from us. Marko explained that they're never frozen and are delivered fresh the same day. The tomatoes were equally fresh, the strawberry jam was homemade, and even the dressings are made in-house. Nothing tasted mass-produced. Every bite reflected the care that went into it. Our food took a little longer to arrive, and I actually appreciated that. Fresh food should take time. I'd much rather wait a few extra minutes for a meal that's made to order than have it appear instantly. The menu has plenty of choices, the prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the hospitality was just as impressive as the food. I have a lot of respect for people who spend their lives mastering what they love and eventually build something that reflects that passion. Meeting Marko gave me exactly that impression. I sat down and my waiter did not come back. 1 drink order, 1 food order and I did not see him again until he dropped off the check even though he walked past my table multiple times. I had to ask for extra cutlery for my dining partner and water refills which brings down the experience. They also charge $1 for ranch which feels like a nickel and dime strategy for an already upper-mid priced menu of about $20 a lunch plate. Admittedly a little nit picky from me. I will be back for good tasting food and to try and pie next time which looked great.

They also have cocktails. Ambience - think "modern diner". IMO they could dim the lights in the evening but it is a diner. Outdoor seating area is decent too. Parking is easy - you might have to go over to the Ace lot but it's right there. It is expensive - but so is everywhere! Also...love the nostalgia of their Stinky Pete branding - it's a good homage to their origins without trying too hard or like putting pictures of Elvis on the walls if you know what I mean. Definitely a new go to for us when we are in the area.
