I rarely leave bad reviews but this place sucks. The food came out lukewarm, the server (Ashley) needs to move on to another career. We had a ceramic mug for the hot chocolate and it had lipstick all over it. My wife told her and asked for another cup and that's exactly what she got, Ashley brought an empty cup and left the one with grandmama's lipstick all over it. She wasnt mortified that the cup wasnt clean, did not even apologize...just brought another cup...like we were gonna transfer the hot chocolate to the new cup (which was dirty anyways). This location needs a new dishwasher. In 2016 we as a country decided we wanted to Make America Great Again, this Dennys is stuck in Obama's lame view of America. Morning of the 4th Nov. Ordered online. Denver omelet and chocolate pancakes. 10:55am. Got there at 11:15am. Order not ready. Heard waitress tell the cooks 2 orders were for pickup and put many plates back on shelf. I thought,the cooks would just put the orders in take out trays. Nope had to wait till 11:35 to get our food. If ordering the Denver omelet, no cheese. Processed cheese slice. Fresh omelet and ham and machine cheese. Also peppers and onions grilled till sweet. Stayed the night in Mojave on our way across country. We were starving and didn't want fast food so we ended up at Denny's. From my past experience with Denny's I was kind of wary about going to this one. I was pleasantly surprised. All the food was cooked perfectly and in a timely fashion. Had the club sandwich here and it was good! I've had other club sandwiches at other locations and bread was soggy, or little turkey, but here you will get a good sandwich. Staff was friendly and knowledgable of their food. This locations is pretty big, lots of tables to eat at. Plenty of parking they have a big lot. Majority of the customers are just driving by. This is the usual Denny's that we go to, but man they've been lacking lately. Today we went over there and our waitress barely came to the table, and we had to get up and ask for several things, and the kitchen got our order wrong on several plates. At one point we got up and started grabbing napkins and syrup ourselves because it was pretty apperant that they didn't care to serve us. Was pretty upsetting. read more

It is not the Denny's I remember, so much better! We were hungry, it was 9:30pm, the last leg of our trip. Not much was open in Mojave on a Sunday night. Salmon Skillet was a good choice. Kudos to the chef! Salmon was slightly over cooked but tasty. The veggies were not overlooked, meal was served hot. We also order a kale salad with feta cheese, cranberries, almonds. I would have it again. The service was slow in the beginning, our waitress was friendly. I will not be hesitant to eat at Denny's anymore! read more

Worst Denny's EVER. Period. Everything was fine at first, went in, ordered. Waitress was nice enough. We then proceeded to wait over 30 minutes for our food with only a handful of other people in the restaurant! A family that was sitting across from us that was already there before us was just sitting around, staring towards the kitchen, no doubt starving. It seems like everyone in the restaurant was just waiting...and waiting. This is where it gets really good. Apparently, the manager, Frank, was in the kitchen, helping out with cooking, and arguing with one of the waitresses at the same time, loudly telling her "that's your job, not mine." A full on argument ensued, while we sat by and pretended not to hear. Oh yeah. So professional. That isn't even scratching the surface yet. One of the cooks asked this so-called manager something, and his reply was "I didn't f****** put it there." Mind you, the kitchen is right next to many tables, and many people can hear. He then proceeds to loudly tell jokes and engage in inappropriate conversations with the waitresses. We almost got up and left, but our food came out just as we started to get up. We decided to eat, and no surprise I found a hair in my food. Gross. Still, the long wait and the hair was not what made this experience so awful. It was that manager and his lack of professionalism. How can someone like that become a manager?? Oh, and guess what he did at the end of our meal- as we were getting ready to leave, he is now in the front, at the cash register. He is loudly making jokes about how "he'd rather do someone with a paper bag over their head" than one of the waitresses there, and making other lewd comments about other waitresses there. He also starts loudly talking about a family eating in the restaurant, and how annoying their kids were!! This is all done in front of paying customers at the register!! No discretion to at least talk smack in private. What kind of manager shows such a lack of respect for their customers, not to mention make Denny's look like a joke? I was so utterly appalled I had to write this review. That manager, Frank, disgusted me. I hope he gets fired, and I'll be contacting corporate. I don't care if it's "just" Denny's. I've had better service at McDonald's. Pathetic. read more

Clean, standard Denny's. Breakfast is always better at Denny's but their other food is pretty good too. In Mojave I feel like this is the best option for food. FOOD Chicken Burger (3.5): Chicken was a little chewy but still good. You can make your own burger. Side of Fruit (4 stars): The fruit here was actually really good and fresh. ATMOSPHERE Never that busy which is nice. Clean tables. SERVICE Pretty good service. Not many workers so takes a little bit to get seated but not a big deal. PARKING Easy, private lot. read more

I just cannot recommend this place. The waitress screwed up the order then asked if she just wanted us to bring out the egg that was to come with the burger we ordered. My hubby said no, this is the wrong burger. I don't wanna just put an egg on avacado. Yuck. When the right burger came out you could tell it was the same burger just reassembled. Besides Denny's prices for takeout going extreme I'd say you can expect the standard taste in quality of Dennys food at this location. I did notice however that the hash browns or under done on my breakfast and that seems to be common at all Denny's now where they only brown the outside of the potatoes and the rest are left raw. As for my chicken avocado Caesar salad I only got half an avocado the picture looks like a whole avocado chicken breast seems okay but tastes completely artificial I supplemented with turkey bacon and just before I start to eat the salad I find the whole end of romaine lettuce cut off in my plate! That means they didn't wash this lettuce I just spent money on and I hope to God I don't get sick! read more

After reading many scathing reviews about this Denny's, I figured I would see what's changed. It was 2018 when I last had a meal from this place and it was delicious. I placed my order online and brought the food home, but while I was inside the restaurant, it was clean, quiet, the diners appeared to be enjoying their food and the waitresses were both very kind and attentive to their customers. When I got home the food was very delicious and exactly what I ordered. I will plan to return there again soon. read more

Surprisingly good food. Nice Burger, tasty fries, refreshing green smoothie and a sweet, flavorful crepe. Fast service, friendly staff. Really impressed with the cooking. Its Denny's. If you expect anything more than an ok meal, you are asking for too much. I did enjoy the new menu items. They have quite the variety since the last time I ate at a Denny's. Even healthy options. Our waiter was really good, but maybe its because it was midnight during the week. We were on our way to Vegas and decided to eat here. The weird thing about this place is the parking lot and where the windows and front entrance are. We felt uncomfortable leaving our vehicle full of stuff in the parking lot where we couldnt see the vehicle. Especially out in Mojave, who knows who is out here. The city looks abandoned....hahahaa. Anyway, we found a little lot that actually has some view into the Denny's. I dont think its a part of Denny's but we parked there anyway. Felt better and we were able to eat in peace. read more

My family and I go to the Denny's in Mojave a few times a month and it is normally a good place to eat. Over the last two months the food as gone downhill. Tonight's experience was the worse, food was cold and down right gross. We even heard the female cook state "she didn't even want to be there" not something you want to hear when your paying for food. The staff was not as caring as they normally are. We had to ask for a booster seat four times and I ended up going and getting the syrup after asking for it 3 times. I could understand this if they were busy but they weren't. Will not be going back for quite sometime if ever, at least to this Denny's read more

This is actually one of the best run Denny's along a highway. Over the past 5 year I have eaten at a lot of Denny's along the 5 heading to Vegas or SoCal from San Fran. We've eaten breakfast here several times before we head off on our adventures out in the desert. It's always crowded and busy here but service is very good. We've come here with groups and just as a couple, and we always request a booth, since I hate crowding around the tables and those little two-person booths. They are always more than happy to let us have a full size booth. Yesterday service took a little longer than usual, but it was Father's Day and unusually busy so that's OK. I know Denny's is a chain but I'm a rather picky eater, so I know I'll always find something I can eat here. And that something is always a huge Belgian waffle that I can't finish with a side of hash browns that always get finished! We always stop here on our way back from our motorcycle ride to Death Valley. It is Denny's but their menu has some good things on it now. I had a turkey melt with tomato and avocado on sourdough and it was excellent. The real reason I am writing this is because of the outstanding service. The waitress was super nice. Hmmm. As far as Denny's restaurants go, this is our favorite. Were went there for a dinner and breakfast, and were impressed each time. Quick and friendly service both times. We were there in late Sept 2017. We still actually talk about how great it was for a Denny's. Zero complaints on the food too. Even for a Denny's this place is bad. It was the only place within walking distance of the motel where we were staying. After a 12 hour day in the car we thought we'd make do with Denny's. What a regrettable choice. Greasy, greasy burgers and 'fries' came back to haunt us all night long in the form of screaming indigestion. The beef was of incredibly poor quality and the fries were some preformed fry-like things that had a strange texture and almost no taste. The place was deserted, save for a table of teens drinking coffee and making plans to get out of this sad, dumpy town. Do yourself a favor: go somewhere else, or go hungry. Was there for less then 10 minutes before I had to get my kids and walk out. As soon as we walked in, we were about to be seated when one waitress tells the one seating us that she's not walking to that side to serve us. We were then sat closer to that waitress at a dirty table. I asked for an empty booth but was told no cause of the pandemic yet there was a man right on the side of us. We ordered drinks and when the waitress got them wrong all she said was "My Bad" and didn't even offer to fix it. They were talking rudely and annoyed when others walked in behind us. My kids became uncomfortable and I had to leave. This place should shut down and I will be reporting it to Denny's itself. read more

I'm absolutely appalled and insulted by the worst customer service I just had from this Dennys. I put in an online order at 9pm. The website said error and I ran it twice and I didn't get a confirmation. I checked my account and they charged me twice. So I called the store and they kept hanging up. I am staying in the Best Western next door so I walked over there. I told the woman at the register what happened. And she went to check if my order went through. While I was talking to her, the phone was ringing and she kept hanging up the phone right in front of me. I was there at 915pm and they close at 10. I told her I tried to call to resolve the problem and this is what she told me, and I quote, "I NEVER answer the phone after 9 because it's usually prank callers or people messing with us." What!?!?! Are you serious? Is this how you run a business during a pandemic by not taking phone or online orders because you're lazy? If a manger reads this, you should check your staff because they are losing you money. She said I had to come back tomorrow because she didn't have a receipt that printed out to have proof. I have my banking app for proof and no food that was charged twice. And I don't live here and leave at 5am. So what now? I'm out $30 and an empty stomach. Disgraceful.
