I never eat McDonald's but we were in the middle of no where so we caved. Just wanted some fries and try their shamrock McFlurry. They force you to order on a screen but if you wanna pay in cash you have to talk to a cashier but when you wait at the counter no one shows up as they're all busy in the back making food. So you end up wait 20 min trying to get the attention of someone. They also don't refill your drink which I think is crazy I don't remember a fast food place not refilling your sodas. So we stopped here twice in a 3 day period while on the way to Mammoth and back to LA. No one is there to serve you, you order yourself and just pick up your order. I know we're in the digital/robot age, BUT that is no excuse for McDonald's POOR hygene standards. On both occasions we visited the trash was overflowing out of their trash cans, not a pleasant site nor what I expect from a world profound fast-food chain. Get your act together McDonald's. This is quite possibly the worst McDonald's that I've been to in a very long time. There's nobody available to take your order. They snap at you and tell you to use the app or to order at the kiosk. They don't even wanna help you. I asked for help at the kiosk and they weren't willing to help me. I honestly don't even know how I ordered anything at all here. There is nothing great about this location at all. If it were my choice, I would not stop here again. Friendly tips before you arrive: Bathroom's are key coded. Men and Women. No refills whatsoever. No 20 Pcs Chicken McNugget meals. No 4 pcs Kids McNugget meals. 30 minute dining limit. Regardless of where you coming from CA-58 or CA-14. This Mohave McDonalds is something rather 'unique'. First of all there is a drive thru. Two (2) entrances really. First is off the Old CA-58 and the other on CA-14. Depending on which highway your are on. But it leads to the same building. Now what makes this 'unique'? Well, first off, this McDonalds is now Kiosk Ordering. Meaning there is no Cashier whatsoever. What is more annoying is that as you park your vehicle in the parking stalls. The first two (2) kiosk is right at the entrance next to the bathroom. So this can cause physical body traffic. The other Kiosk is right across from what used to be the Cashier. Once you are done ordering. Find a seating area for your number to be called if taking out. Or take one of the table numbers and your food will be delivered to you in person. The other 'ordering' option is by having the McDonalds App. So if you know are wanting McDonalds. You can order in advanced and pick up your food once you arrive. Or Order while you are there if the kiosks are packed. As it were in our situation. If you need 'service' you're going to have raise your voice to get some staff attention. As most of their physical time are at Drive-Thru Window and at the food prep. Other than that. The dining tables are quite large for medium sized groups under 6. HORRIBLE SERVICE At around 1:10 PM I experienced poor customer service with an employee who was wearing a black face mask and slightly curly hair. I went inside to throw away some trash not knowing that the bags aren't replaced yet since the cabinets weren't open in the first place. The employee then said that there are no bags in there after I threw away the trash and I said "my bad". Once he finally opens the trash cabinet to replace the bags, he tells me "There's CLEARLY not a trash bag in there bro." After that he continues to stare at me while I sit at my table. I didn't know the bags were being replaced because the bin cabinets were still closed when I threw my trash away. I would have this employee retrained immediately. read more

Stopped in for some drinks and an ice cream on our way back from Mammoth, and what terrible service we received! We waited for quite a while just for an ice cream cone and a soft drink (it was way quicker to use the bathroom instead). Went up to the counter to inquire about our order and no one had gotten to it. Ice cream machine was obviously not working as it fell out right onto the floor from the cone in the employee's hand. The employee made another one but put it in a cup and was very rude. The parking lot is also very congested so try to park further away in order to get out easily. I come here every time I visit my mother as it's a decent place to stop at and it's on my path. Its food is like any other McDonalds cheap and unhealthy but still good. There is nothing really dignified about this location it's like a copy from the others service the same like always. Traveling with two hungry kids is rough, but this establishment did not help. We got there right at 11 and ordered at the kiosk. We didn't get our food until 11:45. I had to ask three times for our order. The guy at the counter pretended to give a shit, but he did not. We did not order anything special...just you know, standard food. I have been to McDonald's restaurants all across the country. This location and California City are probably the worst at service, quality and cleanliness. Today I passed through the drive through at 7:00am after working an overnight shift for something to drink on my final 30 min of a 2.5 hour drive home. The employee gave me my order but neglected to provide a receipt or return my credit card. I got home and realized it was missing. I attempted to call the restaurant 6 times, no answer. I drove back to the restaurant and spoke to the employee who served me. I believe she was the manager on duty. She stated "You left your card behind". I stated the card was not in my possession, how could I leave it behind. You neglected to return it. That typically happens before I am given my order. I expressed how this was taking an extra hour out of my long day and she would not accept blame instead she insisted that it was my fault. The young lady at the front (white, thin, light brown hair) was extremely helpful and very kind. Using a kiosk is not easy for some of us. She was so patient and showed me how to use the modifications. When my food was up, she let me know which drink was which. I had made a mistake at the kiosk with a drink. She didn't even bat an eye and fixed the mistake for me. I want to be sure she knows how much I appreciated her. I hope this franchise knows they have a good one working there for them. read more

Among the worst McDonald's. They charge for everything extra, even a cup of ice water. Service is slow. Workers just don't seem to care. Bathroom is always dirty, and there are often homeless looking people hanging out inside and outside of the restaurant. Try to visit other McDonald's else where. 4TH TIME I write a review for this McDonald's and it keeps getting deleted so I'm going to keep it short and sweet unlike my experience here. I ordered 2 M&M McFlurries and a dark skinned chubby guy with colored eyes took my order and prepared them. He hands me the order and I notice they are Oreo McFlurries. He gave me the wrong thing! I told him nicely and even showed him my receipt which said M&M McFlurries. What is the proper thing to do when this happens you might ask? Apologize and fix the order. Simple as that! But no. What our superhero does here instead is gives me a death stare and rolls his eyes at me. He then trashes the wrong McFlurries aggressively, and violently creates the new ones. Once done he slides them back to me in a rude manner on the counter (basically almost throwing them at me) without saying a single word. You made the mistake dude. What are you getting mad at me for? Take accountability!! The manager does nothing the entire time because she is too busy texting in the back not caring about what is happening at her store. Ironically, he real clowns at this place are the staff, not Ronald McDonald. It now makes sense why they are located in the middle of nowhere. Got to keep that disgusting horrendous attitude away from civilization as much as possible. This place doesn't deserve to have customers much less be in business. Pre-Covid review for this McDonald's in Mojave, CA. We were in need of a snack so we chose to stop by here to fulfill our snack desire. To tell you the truth, I was surprised my better half let me stop here. When I am driving with her, it is rare that I have the option to stop in. Anyways, we used the Drive thru to place our order. I remember that the service was A-Ok. My apple pies were delicious as always. Both my wife and my in-laws were okay with their snacks too. Were in and out of there, and back on the road in no time.
