Went in for breakfast but the only plant-based option was a bean burrito. It took ten minutes to arrive even though there literally was no one else in the restaurant and no one in the drive through. It was a substantially-sized burrito for the price, so no complaints there. The restaurant was clean and the service really friendly. The burrito was bland, but for some reason they wanted to charge me an extra $1.50 just to add salsa. Not sure why salsa is so expensive when it's a free condiment in literally any other restaurant in America, and not sure why putting a spoon of beans on a tortilla takes ten minutes. the burgers are the usual offerings that are reasonable price. BUT the associated restaurant ( Green Burrito) sells a $12 grilled burrito, that is not bad if it was a good burrito. The burrito was basically a rice and bean gumbo bomb with some chicken. I had expected for $12 to get something comparable to a taco stand. This was not the case, I had asked for lettuce and tomatoes and was told that it came with pico de gallo. Well I should have just picked a independent taco stand where they know how to make a burrito. The Carls Jr burrito was worth about $3.50. I will continue to buy burgers from them but I am better off stoping at the small mom and pop stands along the way. The restaurant is rather worn out, dirty and has a poor vibe to it. We passed through Mojave to pitstop. The gas station restrooms were out of order down the street so we decided to stop here. To their credit they still have some beyond burgers so I was able to get one and some waffle cut fries. My order was correct (only lettuce and ketchup) and the fries were hot and crispy. The SO got some chicken wraps and we were on our way. The employees were friendly an dsuper chill about us filling up our water bottles with ice for our long drive back to the Bay Area. Passing through Mojave on a road trip I decided to rekindle my long-ago love of the Western Bacon Double Cheeseburger at Carl's Jr. We used the drive-through, which felt like not-great service even though we didn't really interact with staff in the usual way for a restaurant. The food was clearly just slapped together, and not all that great. Basically it reminded me that I enjoyed Carl's Jr when I was a teenager (which was a LONG) time ago, and that it is time to "put away childish things". First, it's a horrible place to dine in! Second the GM by the name Ahura or something like that does not care about the place. I saw her treating her employees unprofessionally by the way she talks to them. I personally saw her yell at an employee to clean up the counter area while she was on the phone talking to someone. A person with that title SHOULD NOT be in that position. She denied a small break to an employee while the restaurant was very slow in a very rude way. Also I saw a "tip jar" on the side & I literally saw "Ahura" reaching in and taking a few dollars and then leaving the restaurant. Wow this place sucks. Like I mean really bad. Worst Carl's Jr I've ever been too. Dirty, super dirty. Especially the bathroom (where one stall was broken), so a guy came in and was like "this sh*t is still broken" and pissed in the sink. Carl's Jr one of my favorite restaurants to make things clear upfront. Mojave Carl's Jr has the potential of becoming one of there most productive locations in this case the problem is Managment. Employees are not the problem nor is the location could you work under a manager that just a bully? Every employee is under demanding stress always under staffed never receiving proper training or wages, Management should understand her actions and neglect to her responsibilities compromises quality and public health not to mention employee safety there has been many cases of employees hurt on the job and management did nothing to help this is why we the consumer suffer the consequences, Management at the very least should be fired if investigated for all her wrong doings, if past and present employee testimonials were taken in consideration Managment would be in prison for endangering public and employees health and welfare. We demand a better Carl's Jr owners should really look into there problem people should receive what they pay for. I will keep the public posted mean while save your time and money.. read more
