So Classic Burgers has been a regular stop on my road trips up the 395, mostly because there is a Tesla Charger station in the same parking lot. Also because they have clean bathrooms available, and of course, the tasty burgers, fries, onion rings, and other burger joint favorites. The menu is not cheap, but most things are pretty good including the avocado bacon cheeseburger and the onion rings. They also have really good shakes and malts. It's basically a classic old-school burger joint but everything tastes good because not many places make things like that anymore. Service is usually pretty quick. The decor is classic diner and they've got a few interesting things on the walls. Overall a five star roadtrip stop. read more

Stopped for quick snacks. Ordered chili fries and fries were undercooked, chili is definitely canned. Honestly, del taco has better chili fries. Go somewhere else. Went through the drive through and ordered three meals. One of the meals we asked if they had coffee and they said "yes. Iced or hot?" When they handed me my meal they gave me a latte, which was good. I pointed it out. The employee then tells me that they don't have regular coffee, only lattes. Funny as life is, I run inside to get some more napkins and a person was drinking hot coffee. I asked if it was and her response was "it is and they have excellent lattes!" I couldn't help be be blown away by the irony. I don't drink lattes and I had already thrown it out so it's a mute point to return it and call the employee out. Issue is, not truthful, not knowledgeable enough, or just plan lazy, I question the integrity of that employee and as a guest that reads reviews, I would be worried about the quality and what I get served. The food was good, but to have an employee flat out lie about the product you just purchased is beyond a failure. On top of it, another part of the order was incorrect. That was enough spice for my wimpy taste buds but if you're a spice lover, go for it! The burger was huge and filling -- as was the side of onion rings. Finally! Honestly, I stopped here after getting gas and was very disappointed. After hearing the supervisor yell at her employees "why does it say 50 & 47 min"... she throws my burger at me. The bacon tasted like it had been sitting since 8am. Disgusting. The bread was falling apart like it was at least 4 days old. I hope the supervisor learns how to lead a team better because I shouldn't be hearing you yell at your employees. If you ran a better establishment there wouldn't have been much of a wait. Been here several times since moving to the area and it always satisfies. The recipes are followed to a T, so you know they run a tight ship. My new favorite thing to get is an order of fries and a banana ice cream sundae. They have lots of desserts and coffee drinks I have yet to try, too. The burgers are fresh and tasted clean. is not drenched in sauce like the popular ones. We got our food fairly quickly like in 15 minutes with about 10 people dining inside. After we got our food, lots of customers came in and I could see how it can take time to get your orders. Another nice thing about this restaurant is their restaurant is clean and they have a clean restrooms that have flushable toilet seat cover as well as an automatic paper towel dispenser so you never have to touch any surfaces in the restroom. read more

I tried the lava burger (added extra grilled onions, raw onions, hot, cut in half), the Inyokern cowboy cheeseburger (added onions, cut in half), and their extra seasoned large fries. I ordered online and it was ready in around 15 minutes. You can modify your burgers a lot if you choose. Clean restaurant and outdoor bathroom with a classic diner charm. I liked both burgers - the lava burger had a slight kick to it and plenty of onions, and the cowboy cheeseburger had some crispy onion rings and the secret sauce/bbq sauce mixed well. I thought the fries were good crunch-wise but not seasoned as much as I was hoping for. The meat was generally tender.
