I like going to beansters for coffee because they have varieties of flavors while much more affordable than Starbucks. They always have weekly deal available and free coffee on your birthday if you sign up with them. I also got salad from them before and it was good. solid coffee for those who need something better than starbucks haha. the coffee was pretty well made, but i think they specialize in sweeter drinks here. was disappointed that they didn't have whole milk, not sure if it's always like that, but they said they only had 2%, fat free, and heavy cream. if you don't take sugar in your coffee, it tastes better with whole milk.. imo.. the coffee gave me the buzz i needed to drive home to LA, so that was great. bagel was good, nothing really special tho. just a bagel with cream cheese lol. read more

I had asked for a drink and it was made for me. I immediately did not like it and the lady asked if I like it and I said no but said I would try to drink it. I must had drank a few sips and then went back to Angela where I asked if I could have them remake the drink. She said no because it had been over an hour. I was in the lounge area doing my homework so I never left. Anyway she essentially said no and I think if you want repeat customers and good customer service they would be able to honor that. Mind you they said they would remake a different one for me in the beginning but I had felt bad and said I would try to drink it. Yes I let it sit for an hour but it was stil very full. This coffee shop is tiny and packed with a variety drink menu. They have a limited food menu that is decent for a coffee shop. They make great drinks especially the toasted coconut drink with oat milk! Definitely recommend trying this place out! read more

My team and I had a two week stint in Ridgecrest and ordered coffee from Beansters just about every morning. They are the only cafe in town where the employees wear masks. Customer service was very good, the baristas were friendly and the drinks were consistent. There were a couple mixups here and there, but that is to be expected from our large orders, and speaking through a mask is bound to turn into a telephone game moment. They offer a plethora of flavored syrups including sugar free options and though their menu doesn't reflect it, they do offer oat milk as an alternative. My usual was caramel oat milk latte. I've tried it hot, iced, and blended and enjoyed every version. In addition to coffee, they have a food menu that includes sandwiches, salads, and cookies. The cafe is set up as a drive thru- order and pay at the front window, then collect your order at the second window. They take orders over the phone and have early hours. All pluses in my book on busy workdays. read more

Why five stars? Because this place deserves it for being out here in the middle of nowhere and serves great beverages, has a drive through and is cheaper than Starbucks with fresh sandwiches, salads, etc. If I had this place next to my house, I'd never step foot into another Starbucks again. It has a lovely seating area inside with couches and chairs that is air conditioned and windows to look out. It's also connected to a pizza restaurant internally so there's tons of room inside. The Navy base is closed because of the earthquake but I bet this place gets real busy during normal functions. A MUST STOP! read more

Glad we chose to try an independent coffee place rather than stop at the usual S place. First off the staff was super pleasant and helpful. The coffee was delish, plus good food: toasted wheat bagel with butter for him, croissant breakfast sandwich with sausage and cheese and egg for me. Tasty! And instead of eating inside we took it out to the patio furniture in the shade. Lovely and cool this morning. All in all a great fuel-up stop before driving to Bishop. If you're in Ridgecrest in the a.m. you should definitely bypass the S place and come here. I love the cute little tab they put on the cup opening. Clever!! read more

Beware they have changed their hours recently so keep that in mind. New hours they close at 7pm now which is kinda dumb. Not gonna completely bash on this place tho they have incredible drinks and sandwiches. Monkey mocha really really good. Great place to grab a quick breakfast in the morning. Located inside the Pizza Factory, they have a drive-thru or you can walk inside. They also have a heavily air conditioned indoor seating area, as well as some outdoor tables you can sit at if you want to enjoy the sun. I'm not a coffee drinker, but they made a good breakfast sandwich and an excellent hot cocoa. read more

Beanster's is a cute cafe that offers more than meets the eye. From the outside, its a drive-thu expresso place. From the entrance, it is a tiny little place to grab a quick cup of joe. While exiting you'll notice a very homey cafe area for people to relax and enjoy their drink. The menu is full of great suggestions and you can customize any drink that you get. I am a huge fan of the Monkey Mocha (blended: banana, peanut butter, espresso, chocolate). The staff is always very friendly. Sometimes your drink(s) may take a while just because it is a small cafe with just one or two people working at all times. If the weather is too hot or too cold, enjoy your drink with friends inside the cafe seating area! If the weather is just right, there are some nice tables and chairs in a shaded tree area just across the parking lot. read more

I pulled into Ridgcrest craving a coffee, and not wanting to drive through the predictable booteek coffee establishment I pulled up my Yelp app on my phone. The 1st listed was a coffee/bakery shop named after the street it was supposed to be on. After discovering it took me to a residential neighborhood I deciding to go to the next one - The Beanster. All I wanted was a great cup of coffee and a bread product to go with it. The Beanster delivered both accompanied with excellent customer service (much thanks to the young man that helped me). They do have a drive-thru but I chose to go inside. It looks like they have a dining room but because of the Covid restrictions it was closed. If you are traveling up or down the 395 and are wanting a great cup of coffee I recommend The Beanster, an easy location to find and maybe 10 minutes from the highway on Inyokern. Edit: after I got home I did a search for the 1st bakery/coffee business that came up in my search and it turns out it actually is a residence, but currently they are dealing with more than just a Covid health issue so they were closed anyway. I wanted to clarify my review to make sure there was no negative feelings toward that bakery and I wish them only the best in the struggle they are going through. read more

Overnighted in Ridgecrest last night -- not bad at all! Yelped for a non-Starbucks, and this one came up, along with a couple of others. I opted for this one because of the review that said it had good coffee. They were right! I had a great latte ... a great DECAF latte, which is pretty much not going to happen 9 times out of 10. The place has sit-in and drive-up service, convenient access to Hwy 178, reasonable prices, and they were fast. The inside looked nice, and somewhere you may want to sit for a bit and hang out. If I'm passing through again, I'll definitely make a point to grab another cup or three. read more

Only coffee place I go to, Amazing people in there and they always make mine and my husbands drinks perfectly. The cup sizes are pretty small, especially if you are used to a place like Dutch Bros where the cups are massive, but they make up for that size difference in STRENGTH! Best coffee and even a medium with sometimes an extra shot is enough to keep me going all day with two kids. Love this place read more

We wandered in here after some car issues landed us in Ridgecrest for the night. They looked a little closed but don't let that stop you. It's attached to a pizza shop which is interesting. I turned to Yelp to find myself a bagel in this incredibly small and inconvenient town......and sadly, I was led to Beanster's Expresso. I thought it was convenient that they have a drive up window, but my fiancé opted to go inside so he could take his time ordering. We ordered three asiago cheese bagels with EXTRA EXTRA cream cheese (I like a LOT of cream cheese and am always willing to pay for it), so imagine my surprise when we got back home to discover there was barely any on each bagel. Confused, I asked my fiancé if he ordered them with extra, and he said he told them, "extra extra....ridiculous amounts of cream cheese". So, I looked at my receipt, and discovered that they charge $.60 extra for each bagel for extra cream cheese (which would have been a total non-issue had they GIVEN IT TO US) so I called the store to inquire what happened, and the girl who answered said, "Well, I put two on each bagel but if it's not enough, you can bring them back and I will add more". Two? Two what? Tubs. They use individually packaged tubs on their bagels, so not only are they overcharging because their costs are higher than they need to be but to get an adequate amount of cream cheese on a bagel you would have to use FOUR of those little tubs meaning an additional $1.80 per bagel. Again, not a cheapskate, but at least give me what I pay for! read more

So disappointed- I always come here and usually have the BEST food/drinks and customer service. Today however was such a disappointment. 1) My drink was way too sweet even after I order half chocolate in my mocha. 2) orders bagel, toasted with cream cheese and ham. I neither gotten the cream cheese ( in the bag or on the bagel ). 3) I called to let them know that my order was wrong. The girl starts with an S clearly told me I needed to request the cream cheese on the bagel ( I assumed I did ) and when I told her I didn't have the cream cheese at all, she said, "well It was in the bag." That was it. I paid $9 to be disappointed and have someone speak very rude to me. I called to allow them to know their mistake and felt very upset when she didn't even acknowledge that something went wrong on her part. Very disappointed in this one staff member. What they have going for them is that they are the closest coffee shop to the Naval laboratory at China Lake, and they have a drive-thru. What they do not have going for them is good coffee or snacks. I really found their coffee to be unremarkable and the worst of the three non-Starbucks coffee houses in the town of Ridgecrest. Their chocolate chip cookies are strangely salty too. If you do go here, be sure to use that drive-thru. I made the mistake of parking my car and ordering inside. It was a lonely experience walking the halls of the Pizza Factory by myself, poking around, trying to find out where they sell the coffee. They have a nook where you can hang out and enjoy your coffee, but it looked more for show with no evidence of recent use. Pass. read more

When I lived in Ridgecrest, I came here for a morning cup of coffee when I had to get to work. Later in the day I would grab the monkey mocha, and let me tell you, I've done plenty of travelling and these fellas have it right- perfect. I could not find a coffee shop that makes it so perfect, with real banana and real peanut butter and the right ratio of flavors. There are some out there, I'm sure but, its a hard find. So everytime I come back west and pass through I come here for my monkey mocha. read more
