That club!

3.5. The food is bland and sometimes pretty disappointing. The service is very pleasant, and I like the cozy atmosphere. It's difficult to give an accurate rating for this place because my kids and I like coming here, but their recipes are just pathetic. On top of that, you're paying more than you should for the quality and flavor, which really shouldn't be happening. Tonight we tried the fettuccine alfredo, and it was flavorless. Alfredo sauce is so easy to make from scratch at home and is phenomenal with so few ingredients. The two items that never let us down are the club sandwich and the burgers. Those are always good. I wish they would improve.

This is a delightful family diner located in downtown Ridgecrest. The service is always epic and the food amazing. It's not a fancy place, but it's not meant to be. Good cooking for a great price. I have never left this restaurant without a bunch of leftovers...! Their portions are ginormous! Enjoy!

Hungry and felt like I was in the middle of nowhere (Ridgecrest is pretty small town) ... Yelped the best place to grab a bite to eat and found Kristy's Family diner. Our party of seven was seated fairly quickly and greeted pretty promptly with servers bringing water. Variety of food options, but I was craving a burger. So I ordered an Avocado Burger which came with French fries. Portion size was good for the price and taste pretty decent. I don't recall my waitress's name, but she was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was packed at the time we arrived. Moderately sized free parking lot. Bathrooms are small, could use some work, but at least the toilet flushes and there was toilet paper. If/whenever driving through Ridgecrest and want to stop for a quick bite, Kristy's Family diner is my bookmark.

Amazing breakfast! Biscuits and gravy are delicious. Daughter ordered breakfast for Father's Day. Every thing arrived hot and on time. I'll be a customer for life! Highly recommend!

Fantastic! Great quality meat (and I'm picky); crunchy and seasoned french fries.

TL;DR Service -- Everybody there was genuinely nice, welcoming, helpful, efficient, caring. Going out of their way. Food -- Outrageously good; almost "too-good-for-Ridgecrest-good" (sorry, no offense, R/C, but you know what I mean). Outrageous variety offered, and from what I could see, everything delivered A+. Prices -- excellent for what you get, and in today's economy with higher prices everywhere. Flavor -- extremely good. Quality -- excellent. We will be back next visit to R/C! Background: We were a party of 3. I was born and grew up in Ridgecrest, so I know it well. I am very familiar with what it has to offer (and what it doesn't). For the last 30 years I have lived in major cities and traveled the world; we are real foodies. Kristy's FAR exceeded my expectations of Ridgecrest could offer (no offense, Ridgecrest, LOL!). Part of my family still lives here so I am here several times a year eating at old/new restaurants... This was my first time to Kristy's, although I'd seen it forever... Random -- when I look for a new restaurant to go to, I always look at the 1-star reviews. I have to say that the 1-star reviews for Kristy's don't seem very legit to me. None of them make sense, especially in retrospect now that we've gone there and had a fantastic experience. WE WILL BE BACK!

Santa Fe chicken was very well executed.

We stopped here for lunch. We both got salads and they were tasty! Service was good! We were seated once we arrived for lunch.

A dependable option in Ridgecrest. A good choice especially for breakfast. Many folks enjoy it on Sunday mornings.

If you avoid fried food you need to know that Ale's hand breads their Seafood. This means you can order yours GRILLED! My favorites are grilled catfish and scallops with lemon pepper. Their coleslaw is delicious so I get double and skip the fries. We frequently go to the Central Coast and even there Ale's Seafood in Ridgecrest is often better! The decor is super fun and reggae music is a beach lover's choice. The servers are great here, so friendly and careful to get it your way. Ridgecrest, treat yourself more often at Ale's Crab House and your body will thank you!

We ate here and at Ale's steakhouse across town and they are very similar to me in terms of value,…read morethough they do differ. First, the good. It's nice that there is a restaurant in town with fresh fish. Our server was awesome. We were going to a tiki themed place (which you should 100% try to find if you are in town) afterwards and the server shared some cool info about it when we mentioned it. I ordered fish and chips, against my better judgement, and it was just OK. I'm a fan of beer batter that builds up more than a thin crust on the fish, and this wasn't that. On top of that, the cod was a little over cooked (a bit of a theme for the other Ale's as well). That said, the flavor profile was good and their tartar sauce was on point. I had the option for seasoned fries or steak fries and opted for the steak fries to save some sodium intake. I'd probably shorten my life slightly and get the seasoned fries next time. My wife had a salad that was very similar to the other Ale's -- lots of iceberg lettuce and overcooked chicken. We also had the clam chowder, which had a good consistency but was just a touch fishy. I still enjoyed it, though. They have a pretty good selection of beer and other drinks, as well. The decor is informal and overall I liked the place. Between the two Ale's I'd probably give a slight nod to the original, but they are very similar restaurants other than the focus on seafood here.
