On Sunday, April 12th, while heading to Tehachapi with my family, we stopped by the Starbucks in Mojave. We took a short break there, enjoying one of my favorites, a Banana Nut Loaf, before hitting the road again. Jenn, who seemed to be the manager, was very kind and pleasant. However, another female staff member whose name I didn't catch was kinda rude. When I asked for a fork, a knife, and one cup of water, she acted very annoyed and snapped, "Hold on." (There were several female employees working at the time, and it was the one wearing heavy eyelashes.) Starbucks isn't just about selling coffee; the employees should keep in mind that they are in the customer service industry and should kinder to their customers, I think. However, this location is quite spacious and comfortable, and being able to charge your phone is a big plus. read more

This is our last chance for caffeine before continuing on the drive up to Ridgecrest or beyond. It's a popular stop for other coffee fanatics as it's located in a convenient spot next to the main street. We ordered two drinks and they came out just the way we wanted them. I do a lot of traveling and a lot of coffee stops, and the Mojave Starbucks was one of them today. Jacob was the most incredibly kind employee I have experienced in a long time. Not only was he kind to me he was kind and patient with an unfriendly customer, I watched Jacob stay so sweet and friendly and I just love that. That is not easy. Most comfortable Starbucks I've been to in ages! Most have switched to hard chairs and hard surfaces everywhere so as to create a loud environment. Not here. It's cozy like a good place to sip and enjoy a cup of coffee should be. read more

This Starbucks location is literally an oasis ! If you've ever driven highway 14/Sierra highway...it's pretty desolate after leaving the town of Lancaster. One doesn't even have to exit...this Starbucks just appears! We stopped, got our favorite (reliably good) coffee drinks and snacks. Was able to chill out on their comfy chairs while enjoying our order. Lots of well organized and clean tables and relatively comfortable chairs for all types of travelers through the area. With chain businesses, you generally know what to expect--but I've found that the bar tends to be even lower when you're in the desert. This wasn't the greatest experience, but it served its purpose. The cashier was pretty rude when I asked about the "summer berry lemonade." Her response was, "It's summer berry and lemonade,"--as if I was asking a ridiculous question. I laughed it off and clarified, "No, what's actually in it?" She replied, "Boba." I then asked what kind, since the boba was different colors, and she just stared at me. I followed up with, "Popping boba? What flavor?" and she just said, "Yeah." Like... what? Why the attitude? I was just trying to understand what was in the drink. I just smiled, paid, and still said thank you. The drink itself was overly sweet and took a long time to prepare. The space was also a bit dirty. Dust everywhere. This is our go to Starbucks when up the 395, not only do they have good customer service but they are fast In getting your order out. The girl that took our order was very nice it's always hit or miss with some people who aren't friendly but this wasn't the case here. This Starbucks is very big from the inside and a lot of places to hang and chill. There was a big table for you to study or catch up on a book but several areas to sit for sure. The bathrooms when I walked in were a bit messy with toilet paper on the floor and very dirty not sure why people can't use the restroom like adults honestly but as I was walking out there was someone who was already cleaning and adding more paper and all. I did notice some homeless people inside so that might be it or just people looking for WiFi regardless they cleaned up pretty fast. We still enjoy this spot as a rest stop for sure. read more

What a relief it was to see this familiar place with a drive thru, at night, heading north on the 14. The line was short and fast. The conditions were very windy and the person who handed me my grande drip held it with great care so it didn't blow away. If you order a puppuccino, it looks like you might get your dog's picture taken for the display covered in Fuji Instax exposures. Very cute. read more

She had just the kindest voice and so helpful with recommendations. We took her advise and wow the drink were delicious. I can't have them but I took a sip. Family was happy. This Starbucks is new and clean. The service was quick the food was nice and hot. But the drinks were lacking in quantity. Ordered a venti mocha no whip and they filled in only 3/4 of the way. Also ordered a shaken espresso that was mostly ice. Very disappointed in the amount of coffee we received for the price we paid. I do not recommend this Starbucks. You are better off going up the street to McDonalds. I will likely give them a second chance just to see if they have corrected their product quantity. read more

My order was wrong I received two drinks from the employee at the drive thru window. He told me the drink was an extra drink they made and he gave it to me. When I taste the fist drink handed to me it tasted weird but I wasn't tripping when I finally taste the second drink it's what I ordered a drink my daughter wanted me to try so I ordered it. Id give it ZERO out of Five Stars, but One star is all i can do. I get if people have a bad day, but the attitude of a woman who wore a white cotton-based jacket who took my mom's order and mine. Was not okay, this employees face screamed "im over this and over taking your order." I am not one for posting reviews. I can careless, but if your attitude affects your customers then something needs to change. My mom is elderly, so treating the elderly with more respect is another issue. She asked a question about the Starbucks app earning points and the woman made it sound like she is making it a long and stupid question. In This case, four team members, three customers and a bathroom that clearly had not been checked in a while. I offered to sweep up debris, restock and plunge the toilet as I understand busy.. Every time we visited this Starbucks we've been disappointed for one reason or another. Too cold, too loud of music, not very helpful workers, not accommodating. We will never go here again because now they decided to never make decaffeinated coffee. My family members can handle caffeine, but it gives me heart palipatatons and gives me bad anxiety. Just one small cup will do this to me. They clearly don't want my business. Plus the corporation has been anti Christian, pro war for the Zionists, among other politics that they have been on the wrong side of the fence for me. If they only would make decaffeinated coffee maybe I would drop by occasionally. All together I would rather find an independent coffee house. I encourage boycotting them all together. read more

Drinks were good no complaints but one worker in particular was so rude I believe her name is Sophia. I am all about being on the baristas side because I know how customers can be. But she ignored us when we wanted to ask a quick question about our drinks since we had been waiting for a bit. Saw her be rude to other people who were asking about their drinks. I have not been a fan of this company for a long time for many of the things that I have listed below...no matter which one I visit it's the same....I didn't chose this place today, it was chosen for me and so I thought why not give it another try...yeah still not impressed...I think they over roast their coffees and no matter what I get it's either too sweet , bland ...or tastes burnt...I also don't understand why they can't just name their sizes small, medium and large, but that's a debate for another day...today I had what was supposed to be their large "venti" whatever...I ordered a caffe latte...blond roast...breve' with hazelnut...no whip cream...I got a cup not even close to filled to the top closer to 3/4 full...watered down coffee definitely not a latte or breve and if it had hazelnut I didn't taste it...I also thought why not try a scone...I've always had luck with their scones...yeah no!!! It was a brick and as dry as one as well...the only reason I gave them two stars was because their service was spot on...the young man that served me was great...but their coffee is still not worth the prices they charge....and skip their scones as well... read more

I have NEVER had a bad experience at starbucks. however, this location had an employee who didn't know how to work the register properly. my sister & i were very patient with her. she was taking some time trying to figure it out. by the time her supervisor could come over to help, the supervisor said "it's 6pm, the BOGO is over." i explained how we were ready to pay at 5:50pm but the cashier was struggling to charge us correctly. she was so rude & would not honor it for us. unbelievable, we ended up leaving without getting anything because of her attitude. Just came here it says open until 10pm (it's 8pm right now). We're traveling and we were in need of a coffee to keep up with this 5 hour drive. The doors were locked and two people were inside. I knocked on the window and even did some jumping jacks to get their attention they wouldn't even look at me. Are trailer doesn't fit in the drive through if not we would hop in line with the other TWO cars that were there. Really sad to see Starbucks give such poor service. Usually friendly service but very inconsistent with your drinks. 50/50 at best getting it right. If you're going to splurge on coffee, it would be nice to receive what you ordered. Using the mobile app so I know they receive the correct order, it's printed on the label on the cup. Maybe more time training needed? Frustrating. read more

Fourth time is a charm, or so I thought. I tried this Mojave Starbucks for the fourth time now and once again, very LOUD rap/hip hop music blasting and one thing I forgot to mention from all my other three times there, the temp inside must be in the mid to low 60s at the warmest. The freezing cold air blowing on me and my mother, and the LOUD music that is over the top hip hop / rap etc, drove me out of there right away. Not worth going into this Starbucks,, unless you need the restroom, because you won't want to sit down because you will be driven out right away from the music and freezing cold temp anyways. read more

I am giving this Starbucks location 5 stars based on the cleanliness and decor. I have been here a few times and am thrilled to have a clean place to stop in Mojave where there is food and drink I like. I wish the Starbucks locations near me were as spacious and nicely furnished . When on a road trip so many restrooms are not well maintained, this Starbucks gets a 5 star from me! Regarding the service, I think it is your best bet to walk in instead of going to the drive up window , that way you will be able to confirm you get what your ordered . I think they forgot part of my order a couple times until I asked but that is kind of understandable because I order big ( hot drinks & food) and the tea is usually made by the person taking the order instead of the coffee person so other places have forgotten too. Same with pastries, some locations get the heated sandwiches then forget the pastries because it may be a different person. Again, just go inside, enjoy the ambiance and check your order! read more
