Its not a busy hours when we came in . In fact, there were only 3 tables taken. But it took us around 12 to 15 minutes to be seated. The guy server took our orders and after giving us the food, we didnt see him anymore. No soda refills and he even forgot the ranch that we asked him. This Denny's is by far the worst I've had. The bathroom was not only filthy but the toilet wouldn't function properly. There was no soap or paper towels and the food was horrible. By horrible, I mean the Belgium waffle was overcooked, the sausages were super greasy and slightly undercooked, bacon was super thin, the coffee was watered down, iced cappuccino was basically milk with a tiny hint of coffee for color, and the Philly cheesesteak omelette tasted like it was old. Maybe it was microwaved? I don't know but it sure didn't taste fresh. The service was horrible. The girls clearly need more training and communication with eachother. They all looked lost. Only reason why I gave this place 1 star instead of zero is because the waitress we had warned us that the water tastes nasty there. Other than that, we didn't even see the same waitress the whole time we ate. No one checked on us. The only time anyone approached us was when one of the other waitresses asked us if we're missing a plate of pancakes. Mind you, even though the food was nasty, we were almost done eating because we had a long trip ahead of us. I regret having spent $27 on this dump. Don't go here. Even if you're starving. As we are on our way from the Bay to Socal, we were pretty hungry around 7 AM and since we were a large group we thought Denny's would be the place to get a quick bite and be in and out with no problem. The place was not that packed being early on a Friday morning or so we thought. Once we finally got our order in, getting our drinks and food just became a chore. The drinks that were ordered were messed up and when we got our food, not only were the orders wrong in some instances, but we did even get some of the food that was suppose to be sandwhiches. The thing that really hit the nail on the head was when my friend had grape stems in his breakfast with no grapes on it. When we told the waitress she came back and asked if he would like 10% off. He was like no, how about taking it off. The service was lackluster and the food was just ok. This is one place we will be passing the next time we drive down to socal. read more

I'll hold back my opinion, state the facts of my visit, and let you form your own. -We (my wife and 2 children so four people total) arrived to a restaurant that appeared to be about 3/4 full and a crowd at the door waiting. -I asked how long the wait would be and the hostess said "I just have to get all these people seated...shouldn't be too long" -While waiting, a rather confused looking waitress came up to the hostess station and started seating people that came in after us. -I stepped up to speak with her and the manager came over to take control by shooing the waitress away. -We were seated at a booth that first had to be wiped down (both table and seats) by the manager after telling to a waitress to let someone know about the mess. - After 15 minutes we got our drinks. - After 45 minutes we got our food. - My omelette had barely a whisper of un melted cheddar cheese and no Swiss as the menu stated. The toast had little to no butter and it too was barely melted. - Coffee cup remained empty empty way too long. - Took 10 minutes in line just to pay the bill. The manager was in the phone so could hardly be bothered with asking "was everything ok?" - Given no option to speak my mind, I did so with the tip. read more

I stopped here with my wife and 7 kids. It was a frustrating experience. We it there at 9:25 and got seated 15 minutes later. Not bad right? But then we waited about 20 minutes and no one took our order, brought us water, or even checked in with us. I had to go and ask for someone to take our order. That took another 15 minutes. We waited another half hour for our order and when the orders finally came 8 of 9 were wrong, 7 of us had things that were forgotten, and even when we left they were just finishing an order for us. My family doesn't eat pork and we specified this. Two of my daughters received bacon on their plates, and when I asked for a manager I was told she would be right out and she wasn't. I had to ask a second time and that was when I reminded her that we arrive at 9:25 and it was now 11:07 and I still didn't have an order that my daughter was waiting for. On top of all that the food was horrible! I will NEVER stop at this place to eat. I'd rather get food from a gas station. I wouldn't go here. There I a Quiznos and a Wendy's nearby, both places I regret not going to instead. read more

Family is doing a road trip of the west coast, stopped here for a quick bite to eat and was absolutely disgusted by the lack of service and incredibly rude attitude of the 'working' manager. It's a Denny's. We weren't expecting a 5 star meal, however, we sat for 30 minutes and had to ask for the waitress twice to order drinks. Once we finally ordered our drinks, we waited another 20 minutes before we asked to speak to the manager.. Who was standing in the corner on her cellphone. Her excuse was, 'the waitress has one other table so we need to be patient, they were kind enough to accommodate us'. I was beyond baffled. One other table? We need to be patient? We should be happy they accommodated us? Excuse me, I'm the customer. Not to mention the countless empty tables in this pathetic excuse of a restaurant. We gracefully left. No need to express our thoughts to a manager who clearly could careless about the customer. Perhaps she should put the cellphone down, drop the attitude and lending a helping hand if the waitress is too incompetent to handle more than one table. Off to McDonald. Sadly, there's better customer service there and better attitudes. read more

All I can say is BEWARE!! We stopped here on Jan. 5, 2013 on our way home from vacation. We were tired of 'fast food' so we thought we would try Denny's. Service was good and quick, the orders were correct, and the food tasted good. However about 1 hour later I got very nauseated. By the time we got to the Westly Rest Stop I had a full on case of intestinal flu. We finally made it home after several more emergency stops. I was in bed (or the bathroom) all the next day before it cleared up. I am sure it was food poisoning from this Denny's. I did try to talk to a manager at this Denny's over the last couple of days, however each time I called the person answering the phone said they were not available and if I would leave a message they would get back to me. They Never Did and they will never see me again. read more

A day before July 4th my wife and I stopped at Denny's in Lost Hills and it was a very unpleasant experience. The woman's bathroom that my wife went to had not been cleaned in what seemed like days. There was toilet paper and hand drying paper on the floor. When my wife tried to wash her hands the water faucet drained brown, rusty water. We both left without staying to eat. We went to Denny's in Buttonwillow instead. read more

Ok, there's less than 10 people here, including us, and yet it took 10-15 minutes just to get some waters and someone to talk to us. Service here is a misnomer. Food is Deny's regular fare; You know what you're getting into there. Good thing for Deny's that they're about the only restaurant on the 5 between Castaic and the Bay Area. read more

Horrible service. Hostess has huge eyebrows and was very rude. She was running back and fourth being hostess and waitress and busser. When they seated us , the waitress was no where to be found so we were waiting for a while before we could even order. when we told another passing employee we were ready to order and she had the worst attitude ever. I stayed in the Day's Inn just behind this restaurant and it was the closest place to walk to, I normally would never go to Denny's. I was really surprised at how clean the place was, it was comfortable and the wait staff was very nice. I got the chicken nachos tha evening and loved it. The next morning I had the Super Slam breakfast and that was great too! I guess my perception of this chain was wrong. The food was worth every penny and I'll eat there again next time I pass through. read more

Believe the reviews, don't go to this place I warn you. My family and I decided to stopped at this place despite the negative reviews. First of all, the waitresses are rude. It took them about 10 mins to come and ask for drink. Then another 10 mins to take the order. The foods were ready after 40 mins wait. I had the Phillips Cheesteak Skillet and I ate a little of the salad. After we got home, I had the most terrible stomach ever, definitely from this place. I was exhausted and had drivin for hours and was in despereate need of food so i searched on my phone and found this place was close. Upon entering me and my 3 friends were ignored for 5 minute befor a bussboy even acknowleged us. Then a party of ten came in and an we were pushed to the side and they were seated. When my friend said something this older hispanic waitress who looked extremely mad said"sorry honey" with such an agresive tone it was 100% obvious she was beeing sarcasticly rude...we were speechless. She then left and filled some orders and talked to a few employees before see started to prepare us a table. After standing for ten minute she finally seated us....even tho half the resturant was open and clean!..as soon as we sat downmyvfruend asked for a coffee and water and the old waiter said she cant fill his orser we half to wait for our waiter...even the she was filling orders while we were waiting to be seated....i then must have looked at her wrong cause see then said and i shit u not "ok guys look around it really busy and it will take some time for somvody to serve u...when one of them has a quick second he'll be able to take ur order...we sat there and looked at each other for about ten minute before we decided we were crazy for letting this mean old lady seat us. We noticed all the local people were treated with respect and this short older hispanic lady is just pissed so she sticks us in tge corner and tells us to sit and wait....i seriously suggest never goin here everone is terrible at there jobs and the service is a joke especially from the older waitress shevis just a crab! This was the worst Denny's I've been to so far. We have 3 vegetarian little kids, so it is difficult to find meals for them, while still satisfying my omnivore husband and my vegan self, and we've been going to a lot of Denny's. Most have been reliably clean with decent food. This time, My veg burger came with one slice of avocado, as opposed to the regular several. This is a premium add on, so I was paying an additional 75 cents or something. Come on. One slice? My daughter's pancakes came with no butter and were not presented. They were just thrown on the plate. Just because someone is ordering off the kids menu doesn't mean they don't have standards. We had to ask for butter for them. My burger was raw and cold. We ordered soda for the kids and instead if bringing them in regular cups like the other Denny's, they were brought in little styrofoam cups. All of the food was sloppy.
