I should have expected this. A Denny's in the middle of nowhere off of I5 in the middle of the night. In an empty restaurant we had to wait for the hostess to seat us and wait till she finished talking to a customer(?). All I wanted was French Toast with a side of ham and hash browns. That seemed like a difficult order for them. What I got was one piece of French Toast. Isn't French Toast usually served with two slices of bread? The ham was dried out and the hash browns were undercooked! Then she forgets our water, doesn't refill our coffee and I had to take the ketchup off another table because I was tired of waiting for it. Omg, I always go to Dennys by my house in OC they service is excellent and the food is so delicious. In this Dennys too many many flys the food was old the Nachos were so plan it was not like the pic that we ordered Very disappointed. We ordered salmon with vegetables when the server brought was old and cold when we asked the server he didn't even said sorry took the salmon and we waited 15 mins no salmon. Located well away from the main fray of fast food restaurants in Arvin, I only saw it because it was sign posted from the freeway. I arrived late evening and was pleasantly surprised by the quick service and food quality. My server, Isela, was helpful and courteous and always checked up on me to make sure I was satisfied with her service and if I needed anything. I don't know if I'll ever eat at a Denny's again. Not only did it take 40 minutes to get our food with only 3 groups of people but the food was disgusting. The chips to the nachos were so greasy they were soggy. There was more salsa than anything else. My son didn't even want to eat his food.My drink was about 3 quarters ice. There was food covered tables that sat there for our whole visit attracting flies. Didn't exactly have high hopes but I'm not risking getting stuck on the 5 freeway with this in my stomach. It's a brand new Denny's with friendly stafff and the standard Denny's food. I would definitely go back. They do need better signage the place gets lost behind all the other restaurants. When you exit the freeway you don't see the Denny's, you actually have to look for it. read more

The food here is absolutely delicious, better than other Denny's that we ate at during our trip to LA (the bf loves Denny's). The service is really friendly but achingly slow. We spent an hour and a half here because of how slow it was, but it was sort of worth the food. I have never enjoyed Denny's so much! Our server Kiersten was amazing and seemed to be doing everything herself from cooking to waiting and acting as hostess. The people who came in right before us got there order taken and the waiters were going around cleaning tables and checking on other tables. We sat there for about 15 minutes before we left.
