I've been coming here in the wee hours on a weekly basis for the past year to do writing with an unlimited coffee supply. The waitstaff are chill, yet professional, despite having to deal with a lot of terrible customers who are drunk coming in from the bar rush and don't leave tips (and even some dine-and-dashers). Sometimes they give me an extra pancake puppy. I've seen some fistfights break out between customers, which has made great up-close entertainment with my meal, provided by the customers free of charge. Jo is the best waitress! read more

Eh, not good but not horrible. I went here recently around 10pm and ordered the zesty nachos to go. The order came within 10 minutes and I was out the door. Unfortunately, upon arriving home I found hair in the nachos. I returned a few days later and made one of the waitresses and aware and really didn't seem to care. Being new to the area, I have come to realize that if you want to grab something late night (after 10pm), this is one of the very few options in the Hartford area. read more

On my recent visit on Saturday morning, we were seated quickly but our waiter never brought our coffees he kept say we are busy and I will be right back during that time he had a coffee pot refill the other tables. After 15 minutes of seating with no beverage I asked him where's our drinks; he went to his manager and complained that we were yelling at him. The manager came and took care of us and apologized. Two bad experiences here, two days in a row. First, my family and I went to have late dinner when only about 4-5 other tables were eating as well. It took an HOUR to receive our food. And, at that the food wasn't hot like it just came off the stove. It felt like it'd been sitting for a while. And, the quality wasn't all that. Next day, food serving was slow again. Then, employees are arguing in front of customers. "Yo if Crystal don't come in she's gonna catch it" was one of the many great remarks overheard. Came here with a group of 10. We came at a lull time so there were many tables available but still, we had to wait 20 minutes. When it came time to order drinks, many in our party wanted to order specialty drinks that were highlighted on the menu. They didn't have ANY of them. Our group were mostly people who didn't speak English so there were some people interpreting. The waitress seemed visibly impatient. The food that came was sub par at best. I ordered a water that was given to me at the very end of my meal. I ordered coffee and practically had to chase someone down for refill and again for some cream. I'll never come here again. Slow service, poor attitudes and lousy food.....this Denny's is not worth the stop. read more

I just got home from going to Denny's for brunch with my two friends. From the moment we walked in the service was hostile and inadequate. Our server, Jackie, was rude, brash, and short from the start, for no reason. We were polite and friendly and received nothing but a harsh reaction from her. We were overcharged on our receipts, and it took 3 attempts at going back to the kitchen to fulfill our orders properly, despite us clearly and accurately asking for what we wanted. Extremely annoying to have to deal with this sort of service, I am very disappointed with Jackie and the rest of this Denny's service. read more

Amazing! I just tried to order eggs over easy instead of scrambled and was told they can't do that. The server even went and asked the manager and came back with a no. Every other Denny's lets me have my eggs however I want. I normally like Denny's but this one is going on my avoid list. read more

This was the first and last time I'll be visiting this Denny's. They literally messed up everything in a 15 foot radius of our table. The 5 tables in our immediate area and ours had problems. I would actually give this review 0 stars if it was possible. Our server couldn't take down our food properly and when she finally did, the food came out completely incorrect. Our food sat on the serving window for at least ten minutes while the staff tried to figure out what to do with it. I cannot have meat and when I bit into my omelette, it was filled with bacon. When I addressed my concerns with the management staff, they were confused and unsure how to handle my request to just have the charge taken off. Will definitely never come back, and will absolutely recommend that others go to a different location if not an entirely different establishment. read more

I am honestly so upset with this Denny's. I have never received such AWFUL customer service ever! I went with my 6 year old daughter at the beginning of the month. They sat us at a table, and NO ONE came to take care of us for over 25 minutes. The waitress had a nasty attitude and kept ignoring us. A different waitress came over and took our orders. No one brought us any drinks, and while my 6 year old daughter kept saying she needed water, no one even blinked an eye in her direction. Then, they had NONE of what we ordered. Yet, I didn't say anything, paid the bill and even tipped the waitress. The next time I came in with my daughter and my parents. Again, service took forever, and they didn't have what we ordered. Again, I said nothing, paid my bill, tipped and left. Tonight, I ordered online through the Denny's website. Half an hour later, I was told by the DoorDash delivery driver that my order had been cancelled because "The restaurant could not fulfill your order." I tried calling the restaurant to see why my order had been cancelled and they told me to call DoorDash and hung up (after it took me 20 minutes before the restaurant even answered my call). I called DoorDash, who explained to me that since I ordered directly through the restaurant, only they could refund me. I spent 40 minutes calling the restaurant with no answer. I then drove out to the restaurant, only to stand there being ignored by the staff for over half an hour. One waitress was too busy having a fit and saying how she couldn't wait to clock out, and then was telling her boyfriend who was waiting for her to text someone to come pick them up. No one bothered to get the manager for me until my mother asked for him. The manager then came out and told me they don't take online orders on Sunday evenings because they are out of stock of a lot of their items (yet, a delivery guy had just picked up an order in front of me, that had been sitting out, uncovered on the counter for almost 15 minutes). They stated that they were under-staffed, which I could understand, but to make me stand there with a 6 year old and my sick mother and wait for over half an hour just to get the manager was ridiculous. They are always out of stock, no matter what day or time you go there, and they seem to always be under-staffed as well. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. I will NEVER be going there again, and I will be sure to let everyone I know not to go there either. 0 stars. read more

I went there this morning, after 40 mins our food wasn't out. I had to walk up front to check on the order. Finally it came out, my toast was missing and my wife's scrambled eggs without cheese, had extra cheese. No waiter came so I had to go to the front again and ask some lady for my toast, she said they will bring it out to me. After asking for my toast 3 more times I gave up I wanted out. The wait staff is rude, slow, overcharge for meals. I will never return to this Denny's - The management should be ashamed. A friend and I went in on a slow Saturday afternoon, probably about 10 customers in the entire place - There had to be at least 20 people working. We ordered the endless pancakes and a few sides. After talking for about 40 minutes without getting any drinks or food - we got up to leave, it was just taking too long. As soon as we got up our waitress ran to the drink machine and filled up two waters and asked us to sit down and that our food would be right out. We waited another 30 minutes for 2 stacks of pancakes....... an hour and 10 minutes total....... We never got our sides and really didn't feel like waiting another 30 minutes for another set of pancakes. After our waitress came to take our plates she said the next round of pancakes was coming out now, we told her to pack them as we were already fed up - She did and handed us our bill. THE BILL HAD CHARGED US FOR THE SIDES WE NEVER GOT, DRINKS WE NEVER GOT, THE ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKES AS WELL AS TWO ADDITIONAL STACKS OF PANCAKES So overall what we got were 2 shortstacks (2 pancakes each) - menu price $4 total What we were charged was the all you can eat pancake price, $8 + the $4 for the "packed" pancakes + $10 in sides and drinks that we never got. The bill was $25, We got to eat 2 pancakes each..................... This place is bad bad bad bad - Take a ride down to the denny's in rocky hill and avoid this place at all costs or your stomach and wallet will be hurting. To top it all off, when we went to pay we told the cashier about the bill and she responded with "Well did you order these? If you ordered them we have to charge you" - When asked to leave a tip (being good people we actually decided to leave a tip, I have no idea why), the cashier seemed shocked that we were only leaving a $3 tip and responded very loudly with "$3, are you sure that's all?" This is the end of my Denny's review for this location, it sucks, stay away, the managers of this place should be ashamed. I enjoy Denny's, my girlfriend and I go to the Rocky Hill Location and it is always excellent- The Flatbush location is crap. read more

My office placed a to go order for 6 people at 930am on Friday 12/9. When we arrived to pick up the order, we were completely ignored for 10 mins while they seated two other parties and cashed out two parties. I was finally helped rudely and was told i had to recite our entire order. After saying the few items I knew in the order, i was rudely told that wasn't enough. I asked if there were several take out orders and was told just one. So i bring the food back to our office to find out where were only given 5 meals (instead of the ordered 6) and three of them were completely wrong. When I called, I was asked to bring the order back and they would fix it. When I explained we couldn't, they said they would give vouchers for a basic breakfast. I asked for a credit to the card since we NOT be returning. I was told that was only possible if we returned all the food. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Worst cooks ever the waitress was great she made sure that we had something to drink while the cooks doing something? I wasn't sure I was just waiting for about 1.5 hours and didn't want it after waiting for about 2 days. The manager Danny tried to make me feel more comfortable about tie situation by saying that if you eat the food you have to pay for it instead of working with us or even helping the cooks so it wouldn't take us so long for us to get our food. read more

Yesterday I tried this Denny's out for the first time. Sad to say my experience was very bad. Granted when seven of my friends and myself entered and waited quite a bit for seats in a half empty restaurant we already assumed the worst but since we were hungry waited anyway. Once seated the nice waitress took our orders (timely) we waited a hour for four of my group to get their food then another 15min for another three and the last person (myself) order never came. I was told by the waitress that the kitchen told her the order came out already (obviously it didn't) so she said that they are going to cook it now. Another half hour past until I finally received my food. Out of the eight people at my table 4 of the orders were wrong including mine. The other's didn't complain because they were tired and hungry. The check of course was wrong so we stood another 15min while they corrected it. The manager did end up giving only my meal for free but never apologized for anything. With that said me nor my friends will ever be going back to that Denny's again. read more
