We were met by Ricky, the Manager, and a very friendly and accommodating person with many interesting stories to tell about the Inn. He does an excellent job managing the Inn and he made our stay that much more enjoyable. The Restaurant and main part of the Inn is a historical landmark, built in 1886. The interior of the Inn and Restaurant are beautiful, with antique furnishings, stain glassed windows, tables overlooking the expansive courtyard, lined with trees and a stately Camphor tree that is over 100 years old. The restaurant offers a wonderful dining experience, with polished antique wood including the full-service bar, stained glass windows and lovely artwork. The menu offers many choices, the chef is excellent and the prices are more than reasonable, Our room overlooked the courtyard. The Inn is very quiet with the only sound being the soothing sound of a train in the distance. We couldn't have been happier with the room, high ceilings, adorned with antique furnishings, a large stained glass window, lovely artwork, and a very comfortable bed. The room was very clean. The highlight of the room was the large Victorian tub. We were to learn that someone quite famous recently stayed in our room. If you are a cat lover, there are a couple of friendly resident cats that like to interact with the guests, one lovely little cat named "Keno" who made our stay all that much more enjoyable. The Inn is just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful Civic Center Park and the historic Hanford Fox Theater, one of the few remaining theaters built in the 20s, which is fully restored to its 1929 elegance. The Park also has many restaurants, cafes and shops. Hanford was declared one of the 12 "Hidden Gems" in America Better Homes and Garden magazine and Architecture Magazine. The Irwin Street Inn location is perfect for exploring Hanford. Whether it is for planning a business convention, planning a Wedding, or just for a weekend getaway, The Irwin Street Inn is the perfect place. If you are planning on exploring the Sequoia National Park, the Inn is less than an hour's drive to the Park. I visited the Hanford Denny's on Tuesday at around 7:30 PM with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by something that happened in the dining room. Three individuals seated nearby were having what appeared to be a work related conversation. They were speaking loudly enough that our entire table could clearly hear what was being said. Because the conversation sounded like it involved the restaurant, we asked our server if they worked there. We were told they were the owner, a general manager from the Visalia location, and the new general manager for the Hanford location. Throughout the conversation, they spoke negatively about other managers who either still work there, or recently stopped working there. They mentioned two individuals by name, one being Franky/Frankie and a Casandra/ Sandra. They criticized their work ethic, made comments about their appearance, and spoke about them in a way that came across as very disrespectful. As customers, this made my family and me very uncomfortable. No guest should have to listen to management discussing employees or coworkers in such a negative and unprofessional manner while trying to enjoy a meal. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and reflected poorly on the restaurant's leadership. The situation concerned us enough that we asked our server for the corporate contact information because we didn't feel comfortable bringing the issue to the management staff who were involved in the conversation. We genuinely felt this was something that should be addressed. Since then, I have contacted Denny's Corporate regarding this incident but have not received a response. Because I have been unable to get in touch with anyone about this matter, I felt it was important to share my experience publicly. This review isn't about a disagreement or poor service we simply believe that professionalism should extend to conversations held within earshot of guests. I sincerely hope this experience is taken seriously so that both employees and customers can enjoy a more respectful and professional environment. read more

This place needs to work on their time it takes to serve food. I understand that it can get busy at times, but waiting at the table for almost an hour and a half is ridiculous. I honestly dont even know why I waited that long. The waitress got us our drinks and told us the other waitress would be there shortly to take our order. It was getting to a point where we were getting desperate for our food and we insisted on having someone take our order. It was almost 45 mins that had gone by and no one stepped foot on our table. We asked and still the same response was given, "they'll attend you shorty". At that time we figured we should just get up and leave. That is exactly what we did, we obviously payed for our drinks and left. Not one employee said a word to us to show they are sorry for making us wait so long. Overall, this place is delicious and I love coming here all the time. I'm sure this has not only happened to me, but to others too. I'd appreciate if this place worked hard on trying to avoid these situations!! read more

Last night my family and I dined at the Denny's in Hanford, CA and we had exceptional timely service from our server Brendon. Immediately after being seated we noticed a young man working hard, helping customers seated at table, booths and the counter. He was getting coffee, bringing out drinks, taking orders, clearing tables and delivering prepared food to his guests. This kid was working his butt off. We visit this location often as it is right off the freeway, easy to get to, offers a military discount and the staff are always friendly. Good job Brendon, keep up the good work that you are doing for this Denny's location. The Manager on duty this evening was Jessy - good job goes out to you as well for training your personnel correctly to ensure they are delivering top notch customer service in a timely fashion. Remember, take care of your employees and they will take excellent care of your guests. Job well done to Jessy and Brendon!! read more

My husband and I come to Dennys a lot as I am a hug fan of the chocolate lava cake and seasoned fries. Although we usually only order deserts and small sides, we are usually waiting at the door for a few minutes and after we have been sat, it takes a server about 5 minutes to come even ask what we would like to drink. The servers are all very friendly but MOST never seem to be working together. Last night we had Sarina Z as our server for the first time and our experience could not have been better. She was fast, friendly, and just overall good at her job. Not once did we have empty cups on our table. Not once did we have to ask for anything. It's like she knew what we needed and when LOL. We will definitely be coming back and requesting that Sarina be our server. Awesome job, girl! read more

Went in Monday morning to a packed house at Dennys but was quickly greeted by the hostess who sat us almost immediately. Despite how busy it was I was I was quickly served by a young man named Isaac he took my order and had my drinks back so quick I couldn't believe it considering he had so many tables also attending too. He and another young man were taking care of every table in there and working together. The other young man Juan came and delivered my food for me to get me my food hot he said and almost right after Isaac came back to make sure my food was to my liking and everything I asked for. This was the best experience I've ever had at Dennys and restaurants in general. Dennys take care of Isaac and Juan you have a great team just in those two themselves. read more

My husband asked me out to breakfast this morning so we arrived at the Hanford Location. The server assigned to us was very nice and always asked if we needed anything. The food was taking a while but not nothing out of an ordinary busy afriday morning. My 1 year old began to be fussy because she wanted her meal. Server Isaac was kind enough to offer a snack for her while the food arrived. Isaac was also kind enough to make small talk to her and assured her food would be out shortly. Over all the experience was great and we will be nack to this location with out a doubt. Isaac sure does know how to make customers feel comfortable and you can tell he is a people person right away. Not just there for a Job or to make some fast money. Keep it up Isaac! Thank you! read more

God words can't explain how much I used to love Denny's. The only times I went to Denny's was at like 12:00 and I was a usual and it was just amazing. I would always order cheesecake and water. The cheesecake is absolutely magnificent and life changing. The water is really good too it's not AS cold as i'd like but everything else makes up for it. Also the fries are a side me and my fellow dudes and the fries are great and an amazing side for the cheesecake. Absolutely amazing. They did hire somebody named Brianna and I haven't gone back since. maybe i'll find out what times and days she works so i can go back when she's not there. Also JP is the best waitress I've ever had and she would often serve me in the past. read more

My group plays d&d every Saturday. We occupy a corner booth and try to behave. None of our individual homes could accommodate the claustrophobics in our group. This is our go-to spot because of it^_^ . Usually our service is reasonable, but with so many other customers in the restaurant my cups often dont get filled. I understand, but tonight the service was exceptional, even with so many people, our server Brendan never let my cups go empty! I'm peculiar about things like not getting margarine on my toast as well, enough so that I would assume he'd be unhappy with me or my group, but he was cheerful with us all! My husband and I went to this location for a Saturday breakfast. Their outdoor dining set up is by far the best set up we have seen a Denny's offer during the covid-19 restrictions. You can tell they put a lot of thought and time into their outdoor area. And the food and service was great! Our server Jessy-E was on point with her customer service, coffee refills, and keeping our table clear of empty plates. While ordering through the kiosk, I didn't see a Turkey burger as an option. Did it get removed? They restrooms were clean and you're able to wash your hands only without someone locking you out. Great job and kudos to the manager for keeping this place well maintained and operating. Parking: I came at 4pm right when all the high schoolers got out of school so this area was busy and the parking lot was full. I had to park in the parking meant for the tire shop. I guess Friday night is Hamburger night. See you some more on Yelp 2026.

The complimentary bread was hard, possibly old bread and their signature dipping sauce was so cold (normally served really warm). I again ordered the Chicken Piccata. The noodles were all stuck together, requiring me to use a knife to cut them. Everything else was good. My salad a a few pieces of wilted greens, which I picked out. The others in my party said their food was ok. We ordered the Truffle Fries for our appetizer. The fries were piping hot and flavorful. Service was ok, she was efficient and got our orders correct. The ambiance is casual and on this occasion, quiet. I'm so disappointed that Fugazzis missed the mark on this occasion.

Although still working out some bugs, it was a nice and pleasant experience. Prices were fair, food was good, the girls at the counter were pleasant and helpful, and the spaces were clean and new. They have a fairly extensive menu, but according to the pictures, it appears much of the food comes breaded and frozen, to be dropped into the deep fryer upon order. Some of their burgers are customized with different ingredients and names like "San Joaquin Spl." I suppose spl stands for "special". It is designated on the different burgers. They seem to be paying attention to their customers input, which is very wise. I really hope they make it. They have a hard row to hoe. Since they are not just another burger place, they've got a good shot at it.

But in heading here this place earned every single star of this five star. I had the Patty Melt combo which came with fries and a drink. Everything was freshly made and served hot. Fries were delicious and the Patty Melt was great as well. I was asked if I wanted ranch and I had ranch with my fries and the ranch is better than most ranches I have been served. And my drink was topped off to the brim. With customer service not only did my order get served correctly but he had to do it all by himself. This place is underrated for what they provide and I recommend to all to try this place out. And for them I commend them to keep up the great work!
