Waited for over a hour, no food. We ended up leaving. Service was very poor. i never will go back!

My girlfriend and I came to eat at 3am on August 9th, and our server was Jenevive. She was awesome, one of the best waitresses, she deserves a raise or something. Also, the food tasted delicious, I believe the Chef's name was Chris, he needs a raise or something too. If all the workers are like Jenevive and Chris, I'll be back every day :) read more

11 PM on a Saturday, two weeks ago: ordered country fried steak dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy and broccoli. 1) mashed potatoes were definitely instant type and on the watery side. 1) broccoli served Al Dente, (undercooked and a bit tough) and the steak was 'nothing-to-write-home-about' (generic frozen deep fried breaded prepared-ahead patties). Little to no use of butter and common spices like salt and black pepper...et al. Servers had tattoos exposed, running down the entire length of their arms but were most definitely sweet, kind, thoughtful, cheerful, competent and somewhat attentive to the needs of their customers. Tipped 20%. Ambience was not negative but also was not pleasant. read more

i love coming to this dennys!! fast, quality service. our server Rain was amazing and deserves all the hype. nom nom nom

It was Denny's.... How much explanation do u need about that...its a chain and the idea of any chain is the food taste the same no matter where u go...and it did the food was just as Denny's should be! I was super happy to see they had vegitarian patties! I ordered a avacado bacon burger sub the beef patty with the veggie one and bacon on the side they did exactly that just forgot the Avacado which usually is a big deal because avacado is like gold and always extra$..lol...which was sad but not that big of a deal for some strange reason which I'll get to......last night was homecoming and it was packed so I was just happy that I got my food 90% right and in a decent amount of time! Little baby (my youngest daughter) ordered a value slam and cake batter milkshake which unlike the picture didn't have sprinkles on top...so just to touch base -5 for the Avacado and -5 for the missing fun...aka sprinkles...now that we've done that math let's talk about the service...A1!! Mind you it was PACKED my server was Jewels and she clearly was a pro you know a pro server when the have the memory of an elephant and work the crowd like they are running for office! She was good...like good good! No pen or paper yet to several tables at a time and walking by tables like "hey y'all good? Your food should be next!" Or "your foods almost up are you gonna need anything (hot sauce ranch )?" Like wait I can barely remember my kids names most the time or my moms birthday (its either the 18th or the 19th)...but this woman is remembering multiple people's orders even fancy ones like bacon on the side of a burger that's has bacon in the title!...but with ease she was on point so much so that I'm sure had she noticed the missing avacado ahe wouldn't have brought it to me so I didn't even ask because I didn't want her to feel she messed up (she's not the cook and I know she would have need upset that my order wasnt spot on)...Denny's if you're reading this...you should be proud she is GOOD...like could write a book ...if u need title suggestions what about "service so good you'll make em forget the Avacado"... :p read more

I ordered soft poached eggs, the egg whites were undercooked, so I had to send them back. They really only needed another 20-30 seconds in the water and it would've been fine. But no. The server brings my eggs back, and they had been cooked to rubber because the cooks just put them in the microwave for like 2 minutes. Obviously I can't and won't eat them, so I send them back. The server says that the manager who is also cooking back there, said it would be another 10 minutes until the water starts to boil. Now mind you, we've already been here for 30 minutes, the rest of my food was finished, and I'm STILL waiting for my eggs. I finally told the server to cancel the eggs. Ridiculous! 3 freaking people in that kitchen that I could see from my seat, and apparently not one of them can cook a fucking egg properly. What an embarrassment. And don't get me started on the dirty dining room. Dust everywhere: on the windowsill, and right above the tables on the light fixtures. (See photo) That's nasty. The idea of eating falling dust from a light fixture is not the least bit appetizing. It's unacceptable on so many levels. The only saving grace was our server Carmen who handled everything with the utmost professionalism and kindness. read more

Absolutely terrible service. They advertise as 24 hours but they acted like they weren't. The waitress rolled her eyes and cursed under her breath when we walked in. Came here on a date, the lady who seated us, Stella, looked extremely tired yet she had the most amazing attitude, she originally was not supposed to be our waitress but she ended up with our table, she was very attentive and made sure we had a great experience! Order date 8/15 order time 6:32 Tonight's experience was extremely disappointing to say the least. We decided to order Togo and 4 out of the 5 meals we ordered were messed up no eggs in the moons over my hammy or Santa Fe skillet, forgot the kids meal, and only included 2 out of 4 pancakes I ordered. So I called to let them know we were coming back so the orders could be fixed. Upon arrival the server who was there was extremely nice and wanted to get this fixed right away. Cue her going to get the manager who refused to come out. Instead she was extremely rude and just proceeded to yell at the server helping us from the kitchen. She then didn't want to remake the Santa Fe skillet and just wanted to remake the eggs that were missing. But how does that make sense a now cold skillet, with piping hot eggs. When this was noted the manager yelled from the kitchen that she "already fixed our damn order". Perhaps the server and the manager should have a change of jobs. I completely understand restaurants are short staffed, I work in the industry as well and know how hard it is. However, that is no excuse for poor customer service and lack of attention to detail. read more

The wait was long today. The place was packed. Not the norm here. The normal wait is usually about 10 minutes. We opted to sit at the bar where it's first come first serve. I will have to download my images later. This location is the closest to where I live and let's just say it is touch and go. Our first visit a few days ago was horrible. Our food was inconsistently and poorly cooked. We had to ask for refill or hunt our waitress down. It wasn't fun at all. We went back a few days later and had a bit better experience but then again there was a manager on staff so who knows maybe they are only good when a manager is present? The manager was great though he even helped out when the waitresses got rushed by 2 large crowds at the same time, which was very nice to see since not many managers will lift fingers to help these days. The food was better at least and let me just say, their unlimited pancakes are no joke! Those suckers are huge! The thing about this location that really bothers me other than the inconsistent food and waiting staff abilities is the fact that there are at LEAST 3 windows facing Peoria Ave that have bullet holes in them.....BULLET....HOLES!!!! now granted the bullets didn't fully pierce the window thank the lords but it makes me wonder how often do you have to worry about ducking your head in cover. read more

This is the worst dennys ive been to. To start it off, they sat us at a clearly dirty table. Food was cold, all of it. Not even just 1 thing on the plates. The fries, the broccoli, the chicken, all cold even the dinner bread. Server asked how the food was, grandma said cold and server just walked away. There was a hair in my soup. Save your money and go somewhere else. The damn server didn't even have decent people skills. Save your money and go to a different dennys read more

My husband and I had the server named Luz R. She was extremely rude and not friendly AT ALL. She walked away and rolled her eyes at me as well as talking crap about the both of us thinking we wouldn't notice. She was giving the both of us dirty looks and was not attentive to our table. When we checked out, some girl with a pink hair tie in a loose bun and Luz were AGAIN rude. No eye contact, no friendly smiles. We were having problems with my husband's card being processed and the girl was treating my husband as if he was stupid. Customer service was so bad. One women who wasn't even serving our table was more willing to help than our actual server. Food was still good, came out quick and hot. I wouldn't come here if you want good customer service. read more

I had a bad experience here a few days ago. From the point of entry our waiter showed us seating. From the drinks with lil to no ice and the most unorganized order taking skills. It just spiraled out of control from there. Family of 5 plates were not ready at the same time and when my 5 year old received his eggs the egg were very raw( not fully cooked) our waiter was so horrible it was a slow time it was completely not busy but she seemed not to attend or deliver very unorganized and did not know how to prioritize her service. I asked her for her manager and from there I was revived from just walking out. My complaints were legitimate clear as day. I explained everything calmly and respectfully and He apologized stating the gal was new. Also he gave a generous discount. Really great manager that values customers. I will return here but if gal in braces and glasses is my server I will respectfully decline her. read more

If I could put zero stars I would! Our server SUSAN Should not be a server! You can clearly tell she hates her job! We got to the table where we had other family waiting at the table there was no silverware no menus and you can barely hear her talk! So I was like maybe it will get better nope she literally took another party's order of food and drinks before us and totally ignored us! Definitely did not feel like we were wanted at this Denny's! I usually don't have this experience there but todays visit was the worst! I did not tell the manager about the server because I know she probably don't care. I rather just write a review because I know people do read these! If I ever decide to return and she is my server I will request another one! Or just not go back to this Denny's. At 9 PM, the kids and I grabbed a bite at Denny's. I had the chicken noodle soup. It was a home style chicken noodle soup and seasoned on the salty side. It suited me perfectly because i was recovering from a cold and could hardly taste anything. My children ate the Strawberries and Cream breakfast. The pancakes were delicious, infused with white chocolate. The bacon was crisp, the hashbrowns were well seasoned. Our meal came up to under $15. Our server, Rohde was always helpful in refilling our glasses of water. I am happy that we have a nice neighborhood Denny's. read more

Birthday breakfast at Denny's. My wife and my birthday fall on the same day so it was off to Denny's. for a free breakfast. Not entirely free but close. I believe you hav3e to pay for the coffee. We will go to Denny's when we travel but almost never when we are in town. Their breakfasts is good. Hard to mess up beacon and eggs. They do this well and thee are many, many combinations of eggs and beacon. This place moved from the north east corner to the south west corner a few years ago. Why did they not build it larger. The place was packed with a waiting of over half hour. Maybe this was just a big day since it was my birthday. The service was excellent the food was good, the place was clean even with all the people coming and going. Just me but I am not a fan. I eat at Dennys somewhere in the U.S. a couple times a year because I know I will get a good breakfast. If you are into Denny's this place is a place to visit. read more

Victor was the best server ever!! They were understaffed and he handled everything so smoothly. Give him a raise!!!

Jarold was extremely rude to the customers waiting on their pickup orders. While waiting for my food, a woman wanted to know how much longer she had to wait due to how much time had passed since she ordered. We both had waited IN STORE for at least 40 minutes - order was placed over the phone. Jarold clapped his hands together, then proceeded to say "like I said, you're aren't priority, there is a wait, we're getting to everything...". This man responded in such a rude and ugly manner and told the woman she had an attitude simply for asking about the wait time. I ended up canceling my order because I refuse to spend my money at an establishment who speaks to customers that way. read more
