I wish I could give 0 stars. My family walked in, we were seated very quickly. 30 minutes later we were approached by someone bussing tables who asked if we needed drinks. We ordered, then nothing else. A server to orders from two other tables who came in after us! That was it. We left. Maybe you need to know someone there to get service. I will never know. Totally satisfactory, this Wednesday morning after some grocery shopping near Denny's , finally after a long time since I visited this store, everything looks clean, good attitude from everyone and the positive environment , wife and I always love to eat at this location after some errands and a beach walk ,We love to drink coffee and coffee today was hot and fresh our food was good and good portions the service very outstanding our server today was the same person as last time she is always very polite and always smiling looks like she enjoys her job. Dec 15 9am. Arrived at Dennys . four people eating . Get a booth bus boy brings me coffee. waiting ten minutes, no server yet to take my order"invited birthday breakfast". Four more couples walk in and servers get there orders first instead of mine. 20 minutes later I decide " this sucks" get up go to the mgr and tell him about there messed up service . He continues to charge me 4.59 for a cup of coffee, offers no apologies for there messed up service. Really !!!!!. People go to Macdonalds , at least you get some service there. Denny's is a toilet. not what it used to be. Then you wonder why are restaurants going out of business . You are only as good as your manager, manager sucks all your employees SUCK!!! read more

Well... we were in the area and were looking for a casual place to have dinner. My other half and I had just finished a run, so were looking for a place where we'd be comfortable. After coming up empty handed after considerable Yelp searching, we recalled there was a Denny's just up the road, and ended up here. We ordered an appetizer that consisted of garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, wings, and I believe a few other items. At the time -- it tasted extremely good. Both of us ended up with a slight tummy ache later; we attribute it to all of the fried items. I had a Cobb salad for dinner and he had a steak. Cobb salad with chicken was good -- it's pretty hard to mess up a salad. ;) His steak was pretty tough... and really, he didn't enjoy it, but I won't hold that against the establishment. (Personally, I wouldn't go in to Denny's and order a steak!) I'd definitely eat the salad from here again. I can't recall our server's name unfortunately, but he was extremely attentive. With all of the options for breakfast in Dana Point, it's easy to pass up Dennys as a first choice; but service here is great. I like that they offer a discount with the AARP. Well I hate to say this but I think Dennys chain is gonna be the next one to go cause I was there a week ago I order the bourbon steak and the steak was going bad already it has a really weird smell like rotten meat, the place was empty when my friend and I got there and it was empty when we left, as I was getting home I realized I left my jacket there, I work in customer service I didn't worry cause I knew it was gonna be there tomorrow when I was going to pick it up, right but when I go there they told me there was no jacket, I didn't care much about my jacket I care more about the 70 dollars I left in the jacket, they told me the manager was gonna look at the camera and they were gonna call me is been a week and I haven't here from them, to keep customers happy and coming back you need good service and honesty after all, I hope the manager read this review! read more
