If you do want Wahoo's, don't go to this one. The service and food were horrible. We ordered 4 meals to dine in. We also ordered chips, which they charge for. The bowl was only half full and when my son asked for more, we had to pay for it. We spent over $70 for our meals. Then the food comes out, it looks just thrown on the plates. I ordered taquitos which were apparently not made. I had to wait another 10 minutes and my family was nearly done. The worst part-the photo is what they served for taquitos. Taquitos cut up and in a bowl, never mind that they were only half-filled with chicken. Sad part is we will probably never go back to another Wahoo's after this, it was that bad. Both had piles of cabbage and so little fish it was impossible to find. I don't mind paying higher prices but when restaurants raise prices and reduce quality and quantity it's very disappointing. I went to Wahoo's Friday evening on a referral that the Chicken Tortilla Soup was wonderful. And it was indeed SO wonderful! Highly recommend it!! Unfortunately, as I live with my mom and daughter, I purchased two items for them, as well. My mom wanted 2 crispy shredded beef tacos, and my daughter wanted a cheese quesadilla. They apparently do not "do" crispy beef tacos. I now wish that I had taken a photo of the tacos that I received, as well as the quesadilla, because they were so horrible! Ugh! The beef was stingy as well as grisly and the quesadilla had been overcooked SO much it was rubber! See photos... Very disappointing. And $27 for the 3 items!! Ugh! read more

I have always liked Wahoo Fish Tacos! Hienstly of my favorite restaurants, esp among chains. I love the story how the 3 Lee brothers started a family business selling fresh seafood tacos, and their slogan is even "our family loves to feed yours" (or something like that). This location is off the 5 fwy in San Clemente. Parking is plentiful and it's very refreshing to eat your lunch on their outside patio in the crisp ocean air! The salsa station is amazing and everything on the normal menu is worth trying, but sometimes their limited edition items can fall flat (like the fried fish sandwhich). read more

I especially liked the variety of salsa choices. The main downside was the service. The server piddled around. First she called us up fo someone else's food. Then when our meal was ready, she set it down to clean tables. What? We sat waiting while she piddled. Dilly dally. I finally went up to grab up our food. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I couldn't help but notice how clean the kitchen area and all the stainless steel around was it looked amazing and it shows they took a lot of pride in their restaurant we filled up and I'm ready to go back again I highly recommend the outer reef burrito with guacamole and sour cream. Pre-ordered some fish tacos and rice and beans for a team meeting - I actually called before they opened just to see if by the off chance somebody would answer. They answered and I was able to place my order before the restaurant actually opened at 11 and by 11:10 I had the large order of food ready to go. I love it here! All the staff members are super nice greeting everyone with warm and friendly smiles. The restaurant is always clean. Rafael and Steven are the best! If you are having a tough day, they will cheer you up with their amazing positive vibes. The restaurant has TV all around and seems to always have my favorite sport games on. It's also very spacious easily accommodating even a heavy foot traffic dinner time. They also have outside seating if you want smell and breathe fresh ocean air. The food is always amazing with nice portions and prices are more than fair. They have great salads and fish tacos.
