This Baja Fresh is one of the best I have ever been to. The workers are always friendly, the food and portions are always proper, and the flavor of everything at this specific Baja Fresh remind me of Baja Freshs of old (Mid to late 90s). I went with some chicken nachos on this trip, and they were fantastic! 2nd favorite nachos behind Cafe Rio. These nachos had the perfect amount of toppings. Lots of chicken, cheese, sour cream, guac and pico. Really delicious. My wife got her Burrito Mexicano and loved it. We will continue to stop at this location between our drives from SD to LA/OC. read more

This is a very well run Baja Fresh the investor/owner who runs the restaurant is an old school Baja Fresh operator along with Round Table Pizza. The food took forever it was $50 for a taco salad two tacos and a burrito when I asked for a bigger container to put a little bit of more salsa and they told me it would cost five dollars. I will never be back. Good luck going out of business. read more

I've been so sad that Baja Fresh has pretty much disappeared, but when meeting my sister in San Clemente for a quick pass of her dog back from me, I saw that there was a Baja Fresh on the map just a mile or two off the freeway. I was so exicted. It lived up to what I remember! I got a burrito and the black beans were perfectly cheesy and of course, the roasted black bean salsa is amazingly delicious. I haven't been here for years and was a little Leary on whether they still maintained the quality and quantity from years past. This is my first time at this location and thought to give it a try. When I first arrived, I believe the manager greeted me with a smile and was very welcoming! I ordered the tostada salad with grilled steak and was surprised to see how much steak they gave you. I was also pleasantly surprised that the steak was very tender too! I only wish they gave you more tortilla chips since they offer such a nice variety of salsas too! I typically don't review franchised restaurant locations, but this one has a special place in my heart. The owner/manager here is super friendly, and always goes out of his way to be accommodating. He's also a pretty creative guy - he came up with the Baja BBQ chicken salad on his own - something the entire franchise had on their menu for a good while (they removed it because they're trying to go showcase the lower calorie salads now, and the shrimp chili lime salad was a better seller). That said, the service and food at this location are always top notch. I've been a frequent customer for over 6 years now and I've never once had a bad experience. 5 stars! read more

I always get a chicken Baja Fresh burrito and shrimp and steak fajitas. There mango salsa is the best! I can't get enough of them.

I think this is the first Baja Fresh that I've ever been in. I was really impressed! Now, I guess that should be geared towards the food and the flavor .... and I've gotta say, the salsa is soooo good! Hard to go wrong with any of the menu items. I'm a big fan of the steak .... and anything steak they have to offer. Now, I should say that the salsa bar was typically a huge mess. People were really sloppy. The overall cleanliness, if you arrived after a lunch rush was really pretty bad. I'd rate cleanliness at a 2 out of 5 or maybe a 3 out of 5. Prices are a little bit more than your typical fast food Mexican joint, and probably more inline with what you would pay for lunch specials at a nicer sit down Mexican establishment. The staff were always friendly and the food was cooked to order so it was always fresh.... in fact you might even say it was Baja Fresh! read more

Had a terrible experience where these guys somehow lost our online order. To make a long story short, the manager kind of freaked out and got angry (at me the customer) - he created a really embarrassing scene where he was basically becoming very loud, angry, aggressive and agitated. We showed him our online order, receipt and confirmation, which got him even more confused and agitated- and still denying that we placed our order and had paid for it. After about a half an hour of complete disgusting rudeness and aggression, the manager mysteriously found our order - which had been sitting in the back prepared the entire time. I've never experienced anything like this in my life. After over two decades of being loyal customers, we will NEVER eat here again!! read more

I have been coming to this location for years as it is in one of my work territories. This isn't about the food, which has almost always been consistently good. I wish I could just give a rating to the owner, Tim as it would be low. If I'm being honest, there have been times where I have avoided going in when he is there. He's just rude and so condescending to both his staff and customers. His attitude is horrible! Very pompous. I almost always the same thing and magically, it's always more when he's there. I usually get a child size side (in the small black containers) and he told me "they don't do that", when meanwhile I do it all the time without issue. Last night I was there and his frustration with a staff member who did not know how to pour beer from a tap correctly made me uncomfortable. Clearly he needs to brush up on his people skills. I once asked him about opening a franchise and he talked down to me as if I would not be able to afford it or know what to do.... my family has been in the hospitality industry for several generations and we have been very successful. The rest of the staff is very nice and seems to commit themselves to good customer service. This is especially true of the young manager, Mas. I'm sorry if I'm not getting his name correct, but he is awesome! He's one of those people you just know is going places and could be a CEO one day. He's just a nice person. So I order from here all the time, orders are always on point, one day i ordered a steak Burrito with meat only, and I got a chicken burrito with everything in it. I was a little frustrated but I called to let the manger know as I might have taken someone else's food in the busy mix up, anyways the manger named Maz or Mas was super professional and told me he would make sure I got what I wanted but I was to busy to go back the same day! A few days later I called to place another order that was for the same thing. And he took care of it like he said he would! I think this location makes things a bit more bland than any other Baja location. Not sure why (perhaps the clientele around here can't handle spicy). They have seating inside and outside. Of course the service was nice and the food was fresh. For some reason, the food didn't have that 'POP!' Even the sauce that was supposed to be hot, wasn't even medium. No matter what sauce I added, the food was simply bland and still needed salt. My husband and I named this location the 'Bland Baja Fresh' (great for special diets or hospitals).
