5/25/25 Monthly Meet-up with the guys and today two Wife's joined us. 14 in the group this morning comprised of a Lawyer, Pilot & Flight Instructor, Clergy, two Veterans, Engineer, and Pharmacist Tech that always make for a lively wide ranging conversation. Love this group! Parking 5/5 Our group meets early before the breakfast rush and there is plenty of spaces available. Food 5/5 Great breakfasts & selections. Food comes out fresh and hot even for a group our size. I had the Philly Cheesesteak omelette and my wife had the Chicken fried steak. Both were excellent. BTW Who would have guessed Denny's offers whole Jalapeños? Theirs were grilled perfectly and had a nice bite too. ; ) Service 5/5 Today our wonderful server was Karen. Im alway impressed how well our server and kitchen do for us to get food out so we can eat together, kudos to the Denny's crew today! Ambiance 5/5 Classic Denny's diner. Special thanks to the Wives who joined us, Mary & my Wife for putting up with our breakfast banter and fellowship. $46.23 with tip. Eat well my Friends- SYOY

Dirty table

This is one of the worst Denny's I have been to in the last few months. First of all we were seated at a dirty table that had a dried white mystery liquid. Additionally, my wife normally doesn't have an issue getting the bread substituted with fruit due to a wheat allergy. However, the waitress (Marlen G)wanted to argue with her about only having option was products that contained wheat and then wanted to up charge to substitute the hashbrowns with bread or pancakes. The steaks were also cooked incorrectly with old looking meat that was close to the best by date If you have a wheat allergy, do not come to this location. They don't care if they cause allergic reactions or shorting customers food. Do better, train better, clean better. Update: even though we informed the waitress of my wife's wheat allergy, she failed to tell the kitchen. They put pancake batter in the omelette "to make it look fluffier". This caused my wife to have an allergic reaction.

I ordered on door dash thinking the hashbrowns looked crispy and amazing. Instead I got rabbit food for hashbrowns because they are raw. At least you know it's somewhat fresh. Lastly the eggs Benedict was excellent. But in my opinion, false advertising.

Shades with dried splattered food, window sills with dried food and dust covering the splatter

This is the last time I come here. It is a gross and disgusting restaurant the floors are filthy, the walls splattered with food. It looked dried too, because dust covered the food. It smelled like dirty mop water. The more I looked around the more disgusted I felt. I am far too deep to leave now but I will never come back. How is this place still open????? Service was good and fast thank good.

Eggs, hash browns, and bacon

We were able to get right in on Father's Day. It took a little while to be seated as the hostess had several customers in line checking out. The menu is okay. I think similar restaurants have more options. My son was disappointed there were no waffles. Prices are okay. Most items were around $10. The restaurant is clean. Our waitress, Karen, was very nice. My father and son had a stack of pancakes with bacon. My mom enjoyed her omelet. My crepes were okay. I ate the eggs, hash browns and bacon later. I'd go back. It's fine for a chain restaurant.

Foods are yummy. The supervisor Rogelio cooked good. Very efficient supervisor. Anna our server is so polite.

I traveled to Arizona from California for a training and I wanted to take my trainer to a nice…read moresteak house. When I Yelped for a good steak place, Legends came up with extremely good reviews and I knew I had to check it out. We were immediately greeted and taken to our seats where we were greeted so warmly by our server, Winnie ("like Winnie the Pooh" she said). She asked for our drink order and we both decided on a Moscow Mule and when we took the first sip, we knew this place was going to live up to its name! We ordered an egg roll appetizer that Winnie highly recommended. She did not lead us astray! She even brought us a spoon to scoop the sauce into the egg rolls. Yum!! I ordered a NY Strip steak Medium which came out cooked and seasoned to perfection (high praise from me!) The steak was served on a bed of delicious masked potatoes alongside some of the best green beans I've ever had at a restaurant! My trainer had the French dip with tater tots and he said both were excellent! Winnie convinced us to get dessert (twist my arm) and we agreed to split a piece of the chocolate cake. It was heavenly! Not too sweet, perfect layers, moist and delicious! I can't recommend the chocolate cake enough! The ambiance was perfect! Perfect lighting and decorations and everything was so clean and comfortable! This place is a MUST GO if you are in the Phoenix area! I cannot recommend it enough! If Winnie is there, be sure to say hi!

The Legend steak was a disaster. It was undercooked, had no salt, and had a funky taste to it. I asked for it to be cooked more, and it was still undercooked when the waitress brought it back out. I eat medium rare steak frequently and this was under rare as it wasn't even warm to the touch the first time. For a place that highlights steak in the middle of the menu, I'm surprised they didn't do better. The waitress made excuses that their grill can only cook it that way, which is not good.

This review is long overdue…read more After drinks and bites at The Living Room on Saturday, May 6, 2017, Rachel took Allen, David and me to THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN for more alcoholic beverages. Nestled in historic downtown Chandler, in the narrow sliver of Boston Street, the speak-easy themed cocktail bar and restaurant is located inside the former home of the Chandler Arizonan, the city's original hometown newspaper since 1912. With exposed brick walls and rich wood finishes, the historic site provides an upscale, contemporary urban and industrial-chic setting. After easily finding parking in walking distance from the entrance, we arrived shortly before midnight of the 7th. They were closing soon, but we had enough time to order a round of craftly-made cocktails and beers to down quickly. It helps when your friend knows the bartender. Enter smiley face emoji here. THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN is credited for the first place that I ever tried a CLOVER CLUB, a pink, frothy cocktail with fruity, citrusy, velvety qualities. I was instantly tickled pink, literally, by the nostalgic feel of the elegant concoction, topped with artfully designed egg white foam and served in a vintage-style champagne glass. What a beauty of a drink with a touch of class and sophistication! Almost made me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston...until I realized the need to balance from the powerful punch in the serious drink. Fancy, stiff cocktails served at THE BRICKYARD DOWNTWON fo shizz. No complaints about that here! It's been a while since I visited Arizona. Maybe it's time to return. If/when I do, I will mos def drop by THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN again!

The location has a quaint, house-style feel with beautifully manicured grounds. The large doors were open, allowing a lovely breeze to flow through, a welcomed touch. There's also a convenient parking lot right next door, which was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant offers a variety of seating options: outside patio, high-top outdoor seating, inside bar seating, and traditional indoor dining. We arrived in that sweet spot between lunch and happy hour, so the restaurant was quiet and relaxed, exactly how we like it. Drinks My Blue Hawaiian ($15) was absolutely amazing, it really hit the spot, and I was still feeling great when we left! My husband ordered the Pizza Port Chronic ($5) and said it was a nice, refreshing change of pace. Our Server Andrew Andrew greeted us immediately, walked us through both the food and drink menus, and was genuinely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He was the highlight of our visit. Exceptional service. Appetizer Butter Board & Bread We started with the Butter Board ($14), served with toasted bread. The butter itself, whipped with ricotta, herbs, and what I believe was a honey drizzle, was absolutely delicious. My only note is that the bread edges were toasted a bit too dark for my taste, leaving a slightly burnt crust flavor and aroma. Entrées I ordered the Seared Scallops ($48), which were plated with white potatoes, purple potatoes (possibly ube), and sausage over a rich sauce. Unfortunately, the purple potatoes had a burnt taste that was off-putting, and I wasn't able to finish much of my meal. My husband, on the other hand, thoroughly enjoyed his Grilled Striped Bass ($48), beautifully plated and well-executed. Final Thoughts While my entree missed the mark this visit, Andrew's outstanding service and the overall ambience more than carried the experience. The space is gorgeous, the concept is lovely, and I can absolutely see returning when the seasonal menu refreshes. In my opinion, it's worth a second chance, we will be back.

I'm writing this review in the hope that it helps both the restaurant and future guests. We used to…read morecome to Thirsty Lion often when it first opened near us, but over time our visits became less frequent. Some of that was changing tastes, some boredom with the menu and atmosphere, and some inconsistency in service. We still stop in a few times a year to mix things up because the cocktails are usually very good. Tonight started with a 20-25 minute wait for a table, so we grabbed seats at the bar. Right away, there was a strong odor that came and went throughout the time we were sitting there. The best way I can describe it was a mix of manure and bleach. It was unpleasant enough that it distracted from the experience. I'm not sure what the source was, but it definitely seemed like something behind the bar needed attention. We ordered two cocktails and two appetizers. The Grapefruit Basil Martini and Strawberry Mezcal Margarita were both excellent--fresh, flavorful, and well balanced. Unfortunately, our appetizers still hadn't arrived by the time our table was ready about 30 minutes later, so they were brought to us after we were seated. The Spicy Shrimp Ceviche was pretty good overall, though a little sweeter than I prefer. The grilled artichokes, however, were a major disappointment. They appeared dry and overaged, and seemed like they had been cut in half and placed directly on the grill without being properly steamed first. The leaves were tough and hard to eat, even toward the center where they should be tender. The heart was crunchy like a raw carrot. If you know artichokes, you know this preparation missed the mark completely. Once seated, we ordered another round of drinks. They were out of strawberry purée, so I switched to a Blood Orange Margarita with mezcal instead of tequila and Tajín on the rim. Honestly, it may have been even better than the first drink. My wife ordered the Cucumber Rosemary Gin & Tonic, which was also refreshing and delicious. Later, I ordered the same blood orange margarita again, but was brought something closer to the strawberry version with blood orange substituted. Still good, just not what I ordered. Our server, Carissa, was friendly and kind, but she seemed stretched thin with too many tables. Overall, the night was average. For me, first impressions matter, and the odor at the bar set the tone in a negative way from the start. It didn't ruin the evening, but it felt like one disappointment led to another. That said, I still recommend Thirsty Lion for their cocktails, and the food is usually solid. I'm sharing this because I think with a little more attention to details--cleanliness, consistency, and kitchen execution--it could be a much better experience.
