It's a Dennys so our expectations weren't high, but they surprised us with being even worse. One waitress and one cook were on staff (it was 7:15 am), and the waitress had a small panic attack when one more group walked in. There were three of us, total, in the restaurant. We ordered a typical breakfast - eggs, bacon, hashbrowns. The eggs were runny and barely warm, the hashbrowns were so undercooked that the potatoes were crunchy. Thank God the bacon was alright. The waitress was attentive enough, bringing coffee. But she jumped the gun and took my husband's plate before he was finished eating. Meh, close enough. As we were leaving, they were turning away customers because the cook "wasn't trained to cook for so many customers." I know it's hard to find employees but at least those who are there should stay in control and mange the situation. Oh, and the bathrooms were spacious and mostly clean. Complaint Regarding Poor Customer Service at Store #6545 Dear Denny's Customer Relations, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service my family and I received this morning at Denny's Store #6545. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we have had. We were a party of seven. From the moment we were seated, the store manager, Lorri, appeared overwhelmed and visibly upset. She took our drink order and brought our beverages, but one coffee was missing. We waited approximately 10 minutes before anyone returned to our table, and we had to wave her over ourselves. When we informed her that the coffee had been forgotten, she simply stated that she only had "two coffees on her order." There was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake, which made us feel as though we were being blamed for the error rather than treated as valued customers. After we placed our food order, we experienced another lengthy wait, despite the restaurant being nearly empty with only about three other occupied tables. When the food finally arrived, several items were missing or incorrect, including fruit, pancakes, the wrong omelet, and crepes. We informed both the waitress and Lorri, but Lorri appeared irritated by our concerns instead of apologizing for the mistakes. We then had to wait even longer for the missing items. To make matters worse, our meals sat on the table for approximately 10 minutes because no utensils were provided. We also were not given napkins or hot sauce and had to take them from a nearby table ourselves. I never received my pancakes with my meal and ultimately had to ask for them to be boxed to go. The waitress later explained that there were only two employees working when there are normally six, and that the manager was new. While I understand staffing shortages can happen, that does not excuse the lack of communication, professionalism, or customer service we experienced. The waitress also informed us that we would receive a 45% discount because of the poor service and advised us that it would be applied when we paid at the register. However, when Lorri rang us up, we were charged the full amount. When I mentioned what the waitress had told us, Lorri stated she could only offer a 25% discount because, in her words, "at the end of the day, you still got your food." What disappointed me the most was not simply the delays or mistakes, but the way the situation was handled. Rather than listening to our concerns, apologizing, or taking responsibility, Lorri argued with us. When we continued expressing our dissatisfaction with the experience, she even threatened to call the police. We remained respectful and were only trying to explain why we felt the service had been unacceptable. I understand that busy shifts and staffing challenges can occur, but customers deserve to be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. Given the poor service, the excessive wait times, the incomplete and incorrect order, the lack of communication, and the way our concerns were handled, I believe some form of compensation is appropriate. We paid for an experience that fell well below the standard we have come to expect from Denny's, and I hope you will consider providing compensation for the inconvenience and disappointment my family experienced. I also hope Denny's will review this incident with the management team at this location to help ensure future guests are treated with the level of service and respect they deserve. Well first off there was only one server. Then we hear he telling the cook that they need to hurry up with the meal for another customer. The I see our food sitting up on the food area while she cleans the counters and refills to make more coffee. Which by the way taste sour. Then when our food comes there is 3 of us and she brings 2 of our meals to us. At that time she says to us I am sorry but your pancakes are a little dark. Not only are they dark and look burnt but the eggs are extra crispy and the food was about room temperature. Then come back with the other meal after a few minutes which at that point it is cold. Never comes back to check on us only to give us our check. Then when we leave we have to visit the bathroom. It is shameful when you walk in and the floor has toilet paper all over the stall floor and it smells awful so I hurry up to get out before I get sick. As I am leaving the restroom on the door is a sign that says we take pride in keeping our restrooms clean or something to that effect. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You are better off going to McDonald's or somewhere else that will give you better service and hot food. read more

We had reservations to go on the Verde Canyon Railroad tour and was running early so we thought we would drop by and have breakfast. Denny's is Denny's as Denny's would be .... but i must say that our server Harlan was awesome. He was very friendly and tentative. When we were done, I was waiting at the register for someone to take my bill when I saw that he was not only taking orders but bussing too. THEN he walked by and said "I'll be with you in a minute." Coffee filled right away and refilled. Didn't see any issues with cleanliness - the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but basically OK.
