Once you get towards that area on I-15 with the worlds largest thermometer right next to the 127 Hwy entrance you'll see this restaurant which kind of looks like a diner. If you're planning a pit stop to sit down and eat this is one of the better food spots to do so, especially considering all the other options are crummy fast food chains or gas station hot dogs and snacks.

Business has been real slow since the bus loads of tourist from Europe have been at a halt. Most waiters were let go and now only Michael works. This little gem name after the movie doesn't look like much but it's full of character on the inside. My bf who said "pass" on the food because the place look suspect ended up getting a burger and enjoying it. Btw, their freshly brewed tea was better than Starbucks LOL. They do accept card but their machine wasn't working so cash is king. We went on a Sunday around 5:30pm and the cafe looked closed but Michael rushed out the door and greeted us with "you guys hungry". The food arrived fairly quick and it was perfect. I'm not into fancy breakfast foods so keep is simple and I'm happy. The breakfast burrito was HUGE and my partner wasn't able to finish it. The entire breakfast with coffee was about $40, which I felt was very reasonable by today's standards. We both mentioned how we recently went to famous SoCal fast food hamburger joint (not In-and-Out) and it was $30 for 2 people, and not as good. Our service was super friendly, and we felt welcome there. Along with good food, this might be our regular breakfast stop when driving to Vegas.

Tucked away off Victor Street in Barstow, this was a fun find while driving back to Los Angeles from Vegas over Memorial Day weekend. Big props to Haley M., who was basically running a one-woman show and somehow kept the entire place moving with a great attitude and solid service. That alone made the stop memorable. The location has a cool, laid-back vibe with plenty to keep people entertained while grabbing food and drinks. They've got two billiards tables, a dart board, and all kinds of classic bar games, board games, and card games, including UNO, which is a family favorite. They also have several televisions. The food was all good too. I really enjoyed the Green Chili Burger, and everyone else in my party seemed genuinely happy with their meals as well. I felt they were trying to nickel and dime when I got the bill, i was charged for a side of ranch, a side of BBQ, and had no idea I was being up charged for the onion rings. I didn't say a word, but it hit wrong with me. .75 points deducted. What especially stood out to me, though, was the Memorial Day place setting displayed near the front entrance honoring our veterans and fallen heroes. If you're making the Vegas-to-LA drive and want something more memorable than the usual freeway fast-food stop, this place is definitely worth checking out.
