So glad they have this in baker. Usually we stop for fast food but this was a treat for sure. Staff was super friendly and the subs were perfect as an always. I love sandwiches. This place isn't particularly any more special than others. It's expensive here bc it's out in the middle of nowhere. I guess all the ev cars and tesla owners will eat here since the charging stations here are pretty big. What i do like about jersys is that they freshly slice their meat. It seems like if you want food you better be prepared to order it out of a gas station when visiting Baker, CA. Jersey Mikes is no different. Order at a small counter and they make it while you instruct on the other side of the counter. If you want seating be prepared to eat in the elements where temperatures force lizards to carry water and seek shade. As for the sandwich my tuna was just okay and came at a cost of nearly 15% more than other Jersey Mike's stores. Decent subs, better than Subway but the surroundings including a restroom directly out of the movie Saw puts in question if I will ever return. read more

So glad they have 3 sizes of sandwiches. I chose a mini roast beef and provolone. Unlike competitor they didn't ask if I wanted it toasted. It was fine cuz the bread was crunchy crusty and tasted fresh. I just wanted lettuce and plain mayo. I added some baked potato chips in my sandwich for added crunch. It hit the spot. I shared some tiny bits of roast beef with the birthday grandpup. She actually smiled at me and moved closer for more. Why missing a star? I'm glad they had a few outdoor tables but it was littered . The women's restroom floors were totally wet in the stalls and by the sink. It was good they had soap and paper towels. There was the same male employee emptying the trash outside and also called out as he had toilet paper rolls to restock and a bucket of water. Glad it didn't smell. Please do not go to this store! First off it is located in a shell gas station and the prices are SKY ROCKET! I purchased a six pack hostess cupcake and it was $4.99. A king size pay day candy bar, $5.00 . They do not have the prices labeled on any items in the store, that should have been a sign but. I selected the items anyway. Get to the cashier, I almost fainted, but I had a sweet tooth so I purchased the items anyway. If you want something more economical, please do not go to Jerseys Mikes Sub. While waiting at the Superchargers, we went to grab food here. I like how they have the mini size as an option. It was perfect for me since I wasn't super hungry and just needed a bite. I ordered the Original Italian (#13) with wheat bread, Mike's Way with mayo, mustard, and relish. As they were prepping my sub, you can see how fresh the meats and veggies were and they also slice your sandwich in half after. Overall, it was tasty and satisfied me for the night as we make our way back home from a road trip. All the ingredients were fresh so I didn't feel very heavy afterwards. read more

Jersey Mike's in a Tesla charging stop disguised as a truck stop! Woohooo no Subway for me. Service moved quickly and was pleased that the employee remembered the bacon on my club sub (I've had a few instances at other locations where they just forgot). This is the biggest purpose of this review tho - for all the girls out there - LONG LINE FOR THE RESTROOM. Line was so long it needed a wait time sign. I don't think this place was built with the appropriate women's restroom capacity for an eatery in Baker. Get your Jersey Mikes but go elsewhere if you're a woman who really needs to pee. read more

Was a little pricey when I first walked in which I was expecting since it's relatively healthy compared to other options in the area. But the prices are so silly I don't think I'd eat at this Jersey mikes again. I ordered the regular tuna sandwich and asked to add cheese. The girl said cheese is an extra charge is that okay? I said yes. I should've asked how much since they charged me $4 just for cheese...yikes. I feel she should've said cheese is $4 are you ok with that instead of being so vague with the price. This location is inside a Shell gas station. Even though the name is not new to me, this was my first time trying this sandwich chain. I actually enjoyed it. We tried their #13 Original Italian (cold sub) on wheat - my favorite. Their #14 The Veggie but asked for this to be made into a hot sub which they gladly did. The #17 Philly Cheesesteak (hot) is delicious. You can pick from 3 sizes - mini, regular, or giant. If it tickles your fancy... get your sandwich sprayed with "the juice" which is their original blend of red wine vinegar & olive oil. It just makes everything 100x tastier. A little slow on the service. No inside seating but there are patio sets outside that they share with Dairy Queen but it was too cold that day so we just ate it in the car. read more

Sandwich was not up to Jersey Mike standards ordered mini 8 and was changed 2.99 extra for bacon. Angeles and her chubby co worker should have explained it comes with one tinny piece of bacon and that I was better off ordering a regular as the mini plus bacon was more. We both love Jersey Mikes, and today we were not disappointed. How cool to find one in desolate Baker! We got the #7 with Mike's Way trimmings, no onions. It was perfect and definitely satisfying. This JM restaurant is inside a gas station, but don't be put off by that. The place was very clean. Staff was friendly and fast, the meat and cheese fresh, and plenty of it. There is no inside seating, however there is covered outside seating and it was fine. Everything was clean, no trash blowing around. Will remember this location next time we drive to Vegas! read more

This was OK. I suppose it was better than average for a sandwich purchased at a gas station. I really loved Jersey Mike's when I first discovered it over a decade ago. I feel like the overall quality at all locations has degraded a bit while the prices keep going up. In any case, the service was cordial and the sandwich was passable even though the pepper relish gave me indigestion. Lesson learned on that one. If I'm not near a Firehouse or a Cheba Hut or any of the one off sandwich shops I love, this is definitely the top of my list read more

Went here today. Ordered my sandwiches while filling up my car at the overpriced shell station. Gas is less than $3.00 a gallon in most places. Well not this place. Over 3.50. That should have been my first clue. While I was ordering I noticed that the sandwiches were kind of expensive, but ender ordering anyway. After doing research the sandwiches were 25% more than similar stores I. Other cities. This place charges airport prices. The quality of the sandwiches were lackluster. On my turkey sandwich the amount of turkey was low. I ordered another turkey sandwich with only turnkey and provolone and they made it mikes way. A big kahuna had way to many jalapeños. Ok so I started with the expensive gas at the shell station. I went to get a bottle of Diet Coke. To my surprise the coke was 3.40. I think that whoever owns this business is in it to gouge customers. Maybe it's because they have a Tesla charging station there and they think they can gouge people. Finally a decent sandwich place in Baker and something other than burgers and deep fried junk. I've been to this location several times now and every time the service is great. I love that JM's offers Pink Lemonade, perfect for a refreshing Arnold Palmer and a wonderful compliment with a turkey or tuna sandwich. There is iced tea, you just have to walk through the doors to the Dairy Queen. This particular Jersey Mikes is located at the Shell gas station at the Southern end of town and within walking distance to the Tesla charging station. The restrooms here are remarkably clean. If you're in Baker, be sure to stop at the Jersey Mikes. You won't be disappointed! read more
