Fresh tasting, and really big portion sizes, I came here hungry both times and each time I had to save half my burrito for later. Once you get towards that area on I-15 with the worlds largest thermometer right next to the 127 Hwy entrance you'll see this restaurant which kind of looks like a diner. So happy to have a restaurant that's not fast food on the way to Vegas in Baker population 600 (according to the city limit sign) we were greeted warmly by a young woman who was polite and friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating and only two people ahead of us to order at the counter at 9 a.m. Within 20! Minutes about 4 other parties showed up at the same time. Though they did not have my first choice of posole today, I thoroughly enjoyed the chorizo and eggs with beans and potatoes and corn tortillas. (4/5) My husband ordered the chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and red sauce. (3.5/5). They have a salsa bar with sliced limes and cut radishes/cucumbers for you to pick up as desired. Delicious! Not too far from the Tesla charging station if you want to walk over. Clean interior and restrooms. Employees are friendly. I only had the breakfast burrito, as I was on my way back to LA early in the morning. The burrito was nicely filled and had great flavor. They have a salsa bar and I liked the green avocado sauce with it. Comes also with a few chips. They have most of the typical Mexican food items - tacos, burritos, etc. they also have a good selection of drinks. I'll definitely make this one of my stops to/from Vegas, and want to try their lunch items. 1st time - breakfast burrito. 2nd time - pastor burrito (dry). Both times - delicious!! There's a salsa bar with pico de gallo, green salsa, a spicy avocado salsa, and maybe. A chipotle one. Tried the first three and they add just the right flavor and spice - although the burritos were flavorful enough on their own. There's a variety of drinks, too. I got carne asada fries and lengua tacos with a large horchata and WOW. They were piled with meat, well cooked and flavorful, and hit the spot. The gentleman working the front was so helpful when I asked questions about what was good, what was on their menu, etc. and was very friendly! It's not a huge place, but there were a good amount of clean tables and booths, with a good amount of people eating there. The service was so friendly, and the food was so good, we even ordered in more burrito to have for when we got back home, and that definitely did not disappoint! I suggest parking on the side because it's easier to get on the main street since the freeway is right by the restaurant. I have some dietary restrictions and Mexican usually works well for me. I found this place on Yelp and it was the #1 place in Baker. Well, it did not disappoint. I got a bowl with half chicken and half carnitas. I usually don't eat a lot of pork but the photos on Yelp looked so delicious I thought I'd try. REALLY REALLY GOOD. They easily and happily accommodated my dietary requirements. I can't have rice or dairy so I sometimes ask for extra vegetables if I have to take these out of a dish. The young woman at the counter automatically offered me additional beans or lettuce for the bowl, which was thoughtful. The bowl was delightful and the extras they offer at the salsa bar are on point. I got the cucumber and radishes, the spicy carrots and jalapenos and I tried all of the salsa which were DELISH. Can not recommend this place enough. The food is excellent, but the icing on the cake is that the young ladies that work there are very attentive, helpful and sweet. Oh is an excellent choice we routinely stop here when we are on road trips to Vegas and beyond. Today I switched it up and ordered a Carnitas torta instead of my usual street tacos.
