One of my to and from Vegas detours. Alien fresh is a popular brand found in gas stations and some stores. They have deals here usually like 3 for 20 or 4 for 20 which is a price savings vs gas locations. They have cool props and photo op things for tourists to make use of. They have a wide range of merch and snacks beyond the jerky too
The place was packed Sunday afternoon, but the fun microwave popcorn I wanted was well stocked and the restrooms were in working order. Checkout process was fast and pleasant and they took cash. ($8 minimum for cards.) Easy and plentiful parking, the alien experience and jerky bring people to Baker for sure. (Not a 5 star this time, rest room paper products weren't fully stocked and the single hand dryer was blocked by lines of people using the sink literally right next to it.)
Love stopping with on the way to Vegas or on the way back home from Vegas! Always a cute lil experience & the jerky is good! My bf had never tried it so we had to make the stop on our way home hehe The place was super crowded! The line was extremely long so I was panicked at first, just thought great this is gunna take forever! But to my surprise it went by soooo quick! The cashier girls were fast getting people in & out so loved that! We also snagged a little box of chocolate covered almond clusters while in line & they were soooo good! This time we picked up 3 bags: ghost pepper jerky, sweet & spicy (always a goodie) & lemon pepper! Tried the first two which were good (: have yet to try lemon pepper so will report back when I do (:
There are some items in this place that make me not want to support it any more... About 2 years ago they had a lot of dump merch and that was very unsettling. It has dwindled down to a fortune telling machine and a few knick knacks. The beef jerky is extremely tender. Never had anything like it. Many flavors; haven't tried them all.
After seeing the billboards and wanting some good jerky decided to stop at this quirky spot. At first it's so random it's actually quite fun to take pics outside and inside the store. Once inside it's a lot of alien paraphernalia, many is funny and they have a great selection of international drinks. The downside, the jerky is not quality and it's very expensive. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and smelled like literal portable toilets. I opened the door and didn't go all the way inside from the rancid smell.
This place is one of those stops you make on a drive from LA to Vegas or vice versa. They're famous for their beef jerky which comes in many flavors. I typically go for their honey teriyaki, sweet & spicy, & lemon pepper. They also have cold drinks and plenty of hot sauces. There are lots of souvenir merch such as plushies, magnets, and keychains. Sometimes there may be a line but it goes rather fast. There's also a bathroom which may have a long line as well. There's also plenty of photo ops both inside the store and outside.
Alien Fresh Jerky is a cool stop on interstate 15. I stopped by Baker city in the way to Las Vegas for gas, and also stopped by the this shop because it caught my eye. The exterior seems huge. There's art outside and a building in the back that's shaped like a space ship (although it was closed when I went). The store itself wasn't huge, but was packed with lots of alien-themed merch, interesting snacks, and their beef jerky products. The prices aren't cheap... Overall, this was an amazing place to stop by as a rest break on a long road trip. Was it cool to browse around? Yes. Would I go out of my way just to visit this store? Probably not.
Alien Fresh Jerky is a cute little stop before heading home from Vegas. However, the jerky and the candy are super expensive. But I guess that's to be expected when you're coming from a tourist area. I got the lemon pepper, hot and spicy jerky, freeze dried skittles and freeze dried salted taffy. Everything is good except for the salted taffy. Do not get the salted freeze dried taffy!
When in Nevada, you gotta check out some extraterrestrials, right? Totally happy I got my fix at Alien Fresh Jerky. Arrived to stretch our legs for the ride back to LA. This place is super fun to look at; especially at night. Tons of lights to look at, and alien decor. Like the beacon on a space craft, this place draws you in. Once inside you're met with walls full of hot sauce, drinks, trinkets, and of course Beef Jerky. We left with 3 bags of jerky and a drink. And honestly, the jerky is pretty delicious! Fun little 30 minutes spent at Alien Fresh Jerky! This is one of those places you always see on the way to or from Vegas and I'm happy I finally got to see what it was all about.
Alien Fresh Jerky is such a cool stop on the way to Vegas! If you're driving through Baker, you honestly can't miss it-the giant UFOs and alien statues outside make for some awesome photo ops and a great way to stretch your legs. The shop itself is an experience. It's packed with every kind of jerky imaginable, from classic beef to more exotic options, and the "space" theme is carried out through the whole store. It's quirky, fun, and definitely breaks up the desert drive.
Do you remember those old roadside attraction stands that were designed to make you laugh and to sell you things? Well, this is one of them and let me tell you it's a lot of fun. If you're ever in Baker, California make sure you visit the Alien Fresh Jerky store! You'll be greeted by little green aliens and different outdoor displays. The store itself resembles some type of land crawler. Behind it is a large alien UFO Saucer which will eventually become a hotel. Over the years. This place has really changed and I honestly stop here just to get a laugh. The fortune teller booths are hilarious, as are many of the souvenirs that they sell. Great photo opportunities everywhere! The business itself is kept pristine and well maintained. All the alien support team members (employees) are friendly, polite, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products that they sell . The store has so many things to look at that all members of the family will enjoy. Of course they sell their own brand of jerky that i've tried. The quality is excellent, alhough sometimes I find the taste to be a bit on the sweet side for me. As some of the other reviews mentioned, it is quite pricey, but I always buy several bags anyway as I really enjoy it. The selection is fabulous and I feel well worth the price. So if you are ever on I-15 passing Baker and you want an out of this world experience - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Alien Fresh Jerkey.
Fun, kitschy road side stop for all, young & old. The experience is worth the time to tell a cute story. If you are into aliens and Area 51 then you will find this stop so entertaining. Jerky 2 for $22 a bit pricey but a fun gift for someone. I got alien gummies just for the cute packaging. Tons of souvenirs and snacks (sweet & savory) to chose from.
Alien Fresh Jerky has been around for a long time but they've really expanded their facilities in recent years. It is a cool roadside attraction selling jerky, soda, candies and more. Looks like the "mothership" in the back is some sort of theatre experience. Or at least will be. That would be cool tobsee in the future. For now, stop in, take some pics of the UFO focused ambience, and buy some tasty snacks. Oh, and do yourself a favor. Pay close attention to the jerky names. They are clever and funny.

Had a blast at Alien Fresh Jerkey road stop!! Driving from LA to Nevada this was one of our major road stops. It's super cute and I'm obsessed with the theme. Definitely a worth while stop! Pricy jerky Fun place to be! Honestly with inflation and how much steaks shrink to make jerky..... I guess it's not too outrageous. They have deals like $22 for 8oz bag Or select 2; 3.5 oz bags for $22 Their AC is blasting, even the restroom felt great, selection of other snacks and drinks etc... pretty cool place to visit! Even my 9 year old was the one that told me to stop by on the way home read more

This is a nice stop on route to Vegas. I've never seen so much beef jerky or candy lol. They got souvenirs, hot sauces, candy, jerky and other alien souvenirs. It's a nice stop to stretch, and get of the freeway for a few. I picked up a bag of jerky, a bit pricy I think but hey... on a road trip to Vegas.. it ok. Service was good, get packed at times, great snacks for the road. Overall good experience. read more

Greetings earthlings!! All aliens welcome! And humans too! Alien Fresh Jerky has the best jerky. Hands down. My husband is obsessed with it lol This wasn't a suggested stop on the way to Vegas. It was a MUST-STOP lol My husband got two different kinds of jerky, and I grabbed a bag for my dad. I also found some mango for myself. The mango with chamoy was sooooo good! Yummy and a good snack on the road. Alien jerky is fun for pictures too. Lots of photo opportunities inside and outside the store. It gets really crowded and lines do get long. I wish I grabbed another bag of the mango! read more
This is the place to stop on your way to Vegas. Jerky and everything Alien. You're greeted out front with futuristic modes of transportation. The car has two Aliens (they look a little drunk) leaning. Great photo op. They are also building a hotel which should be ready in about a year. If you love all things Alien this is your stop, and the jerky flavors are great... read more
Field Report from a Very Curious Earthling!! We pulled into Baker, CA to rest our human legs when...BAM!!! A full-on alien spaceship appeared to be crash-parked behind a building!!! Naturally, we followed standard alien-encounter protocol: investigate immediately!!!!!! Turns out it was an alien-themed jerky store, aka a delicious intergalactic outpost. Inside: peak sci-fi vibes, fun trinkets, photo ops that scream "I come in peace or pieces," lol and enough weird cool stuff to make you forget you're still on Earth!!! But let's talk about the real mission: the jerky!!! We sampled Lemon Pepper and Teriyaki. The Lemon Pepper absolutely abducted our taste buds... crazy flavorful, shockingly tender, and not the usual jaw-workout space leather. Soft, juicy, and clearly not made with Earth's inferior drying technology. Teriyaki was solid too, but Lemon Pepper is the chosen one!!! Bottom line: if you're driving through Baker and spot a spaceship, do not run. Stop!!! Enter!!! Eat the jerky!!!! Take photos!!! Leave happy and possibly slightly convinced that aliens are better at snacks than humans. Highly recommend this fun little pit stop on your journey through the galaxy!!! read more

I absolutely loved this place. You can see the giant space shuttle as you're traveling down the highway. It's a great photo ops location. The outside has cool alien cars The inside has a TON of UFO/ alien items such as shirts, socks, keychains, hot sauces, pens , knives, etc. there's plenty of CLEAN toilets inside. And despite being a tourist location the staff was extremely nice. I left with a ton of cool gifts read more

This is a perfect stop if you're going between California and Nevada . It's a big spaceship ! They have souvenirs , drinks, beef jerky, toys. You can't get anything like their items anywhere else, it's very unique and cute . Their candy is super good! read more
Out of this world themed jerky! This is a nice spot if you're drivin back from Las Vegas. The store is theme with cool alien interior and decorations. The jerky it self is also good quality. The sweet teriyaki was really good! Overall a good spot to check out! read more
Many years and many times I have gone to this place its always the same. Every time I drive to vegas we try amd stop here and then asked ourselves why? I think the outside is cool with aesthetics. The alien cars ans alien theme, but its nothing to be in awe of inside. They have A LOT of overpriced Jerry with A LOT of flavors I don't like. Its not flavored well not any of the jelly is spicy. Did I mention its VERY expensive here. I don't like the texture of most of the Jerry they have here. All the souvenirs are also pricey. I only stop here for nostalgic reasons. read more
Used to come here every visit coming back from Vegas to LA, haven't been in a while and my how the prices have changed. Before I think it was like 3 bags for like $20. Now it's 2 for $22 and possibly smaller quantity size. Packaged candy was $6 which seemed way over price but I didn't see something I've liked in a long time and I paid the $6. They've expanded a little bit, and looked like their hotel is further along. Prices and offerings seemed cheaper to me at eddies world. read more
Random stop. We had seen this place from the highway every time we went to Vegas and today was the day we decided to stop and check it out. So glad we did. It's absolutely weird!!! But I love it. My husband got the roadkill original beef jerky and he enjoyed it very much. Cool little place to just stop in and refuel. Not a gas station, I meant stop for snacks. They had a lot of random alien things, fun to see. So drop in and meet alien trump. read more

Enjoyed the Premium Sweet & Spicy Beef Jerky. It's soft, chewy texture has a mild kick. It's the only kind I like. Tried the other ones, which are hard as leather. read more

This is always a great snack stop on the way to and from Vegas. Its also a great pit stop to use the restroom. The women's restroom has upgraded from 2 stalls to 4! They have some outer space souvenirs and beef jerky that is well known for some heat! We always make a stop here. read more

We usually buzz by Baker on our way to and from Las Vegas but made a stop on the way back this past April to take a look at the new structures being built at the Alien Fresh Jerky store site. Suffice it to say they have come a loooong way from the modest little structure that once occupied the location many years ago. If you're looking for alien merchandise - or some unique jerky varieties including "abducted cow" - this store in the heart of Baker, CA is worth a visit. Not the cheapest jerky (but not too absurdly priced to turn those with a little leftover cash from Sin City away), the Alien Fresh store is an entertaining little pitstop. I don't know when the new hotel/motel and snack bar are scheduled to open, but I give them credit for "milking" the alien theme for all its worth; I suppose I'll need to return when it's all in full operation. read more

Ask the Community - Alien Fresh Jerky
Can I actually buy a pretzel there?
I don’t recall seeing fresh baked pretzels the times I’ve gone aside the pretzels in the chip bags.
Is there a gas station here too?
Yes. There's are actually a few gas stations right on the same exit
What are your current hours? Google states you are open until 7pm but Yelp says you're open until 8pm?
Greetings, Brienna! Thank you for pointing that out, I’ll be sure to update our hours on Yelp. We are open from 8 am to 7 pm on weekdays (Monday through Thursday), and from 8 am to 8 pm on Weekends (Friday through Sunday). These hours also vary…
Are you guys going to be open on Thanksgiving in 2020?
Greetings! Yes, we will be open on Thanksgiving Day 2020, however, store hours will be reduced. We will be open from 8 am to 6 pm on Thanksgiving Day 2020.
How's their customer service? Are their jerky and other products fresh?
Horrible customer service! Especially if you're Asian. The jerkies are not worth the price. You can find better ones at a gas station.
Are they still open? Tried calling, went straight to voicemail.
They are open now. I went yesterday, Sunday, Aug 2nd, 2020 on my way back to LA
Are you open on holidays?
Pretty sure they're closed for Chinese New Years. Oh wait that's right the owner hates Asian people so they're probably open, just not for Asians.
Gluten free option?
Do they offer old school dry jerky or is it all moist?
Last time I checked, the very spicy ones are dry vs sweet and spicy which is moist.
Do they still have the colon cleaner?
Yes!! If you go to their store the package now says Extreme Hot (formerly known as Colon Cleaner)
