It's tender and flavorful without feeling like you're fighting it the whole time. The Mango Sweet and Spicy is a little sweeter than the regular Sweet and Spicy, but still has that nice kick on the back end. If you like a bit more sweetness in your snack, that's the move. The regular Sweet and Spicy is balanced and solid all around. The Korean BBQ Turkey is really on the money flavor wise. Savory, slightly sweet, and super satisfying. Staff was great about offering samples and helping recommend different options to try, which made it easy to find what I liked. On our way to Disneyland in Anaheim California Wednesday evening, my husband and I stopped at Eddie's World. It was fairly empty inside, which is usually not the case. EddieWorld is typically buzzing with road trippers, families, and Vegas bound drivers. Jedidiah's Jerky is located inside Eddie World on Interstate 15 at Yermo. It's a must visit if you like jerky. One of the team members helped us select a few different flavors. The Jerky that Jedidiah's has is made by hand. It offers many different types of meat and flavor options including Beef (Classic), Brisket (Classic), Turkey, Buffalo, Venison, Wild Boar. Most of these options will be available for purchase by weight or prepackaged and offer bold, sweet, spicy and savory options so there is something for everyone to enjoy. It's expensive, but worth it! All of the jerky was delicious and it lasted us several days. A lot of unique flavors to choose from and the store has so many creative options. Was so curious about the jerky when coming in. Got the lemon pepper and it was well seasoned and juicy. I got to sample many of the different kinds of jerky. The lady who worked there was very kind. Prices are $75-$100 per pound, which is a predatory ripoff. If you want the best deal, then you can order a pickup order through DoorDash for $75/lb; however, I would not recommend jerky at those prices. read more

On the way back, he picked up some bougie jerky. Luckily, I was a recipient of some of this jerky. He brought it by I believe a week or so later after storing it in the fridge. I adore beef jerky. The hubby likes it dry and chewy. I like it soft and chewy. So this is definitely my kind if texture. Flavors were good, tho a little sweeter than I prefer. If it were making the flavor choices, I would have picked something super spicy. I love my heat! I'm not gonna lie, but I was stunned by the price. For 0.61 lbs each, it was $60.88 for the sweet and spicy, $73.08 for the bbq. Yes, a little more than $130 was spent on less than 1.25lbs of jerky. Am I glad I tried it? Yes. Would I go back and get more? I'm not sure. But I do understand meat is expensive. And their site says they use the "best cuts of graded American brisket". As I'm looking over the reviews now, I haven't seen ANYONE pay that low of a price. I paid $45 for 0.38 pounds. WHAT! He wasn't being very transparent about the prices until it was already packed up and he rang it up. I was shocked but paid it anyway. I ordered the Famous BBQ Brisket and it was good but not mind blowing. My partner ordered the pineapple Serrano which was much tastier. I hope people would read this review and other reviews prior to purchasing at this place. I rated this place a 2 star because the jerkies were actually good. Is it exceptionally good? Probably not. The staff was also friendly as well. With that said, the reason I couldn't give a higher rating is because I felt deceived. There were no prices listed anywhere around the store. Which should have been a red flag. Could I have been smarter and ask? Yes I should have. But I felt what's the worse. I'm ok spending $40 on good jerkies. I bought two flavors, 1/4 lb each. It exceeded a bit which I was fine with. Then it came out to be $85. I found out later through the receipt that the going price is at $120 a pound and they only sell at 1/4, 1/2 and 1 lb. They know very well what they are doing and is training their staff accordingly. The business model is to feed off the good nature of people and the uncomfortable feeling of being confrontational and backing out of your order. Even the scale doesn't show the per lb price like it would show at a meat market. So you won't know until they ring you up. I bet the staff is used to seeing the surprise expression of the customers. I basically paid for a fine dining steak for two. I would not go back and definitely this would be part of my vacation highlights when people ask. read more

The beef jerky here is expansive but it will be the best you'll ever have! Once you go here you won't do the other place in baker, cali anymore. I got the famous BBQ and of course it was great! So soft to chew and flavorful. They have a closer one in barstow also if your coming toward LA. When i was there yesterday it was around $50 for half of pound so you do the math on the rest! Was it worth it? I would say yes. I always get some going and coming from vegas. A pound and a half easily $75 bucks but i got a 3 flavors. You can do a quarters in jerky also so you don't have to commit to a full half if it goes above your budget. You get what you paid for though and this is the best quality of beef jerky you'll eat. Love love love this place! I am usually very stingy when it comes to spending a good chunk of money on snack foods like that, but anytime I am driving to or from Cali from Vegas, I have to stop here! My husband and I love jerky, and this place is one of the best we've had! When you walk into Eddy World, this will be on your left side. They also have some sealed packs on the right side of the store. Any time we go, we usually get a half pound each, which is around $100. When we told our friends how much we spent, they were a little taken aback, but we think it is absolutely worth it! I love the soft jerkeys, like the lemon pepper and teriyaki. The flavors are amazing! My husband goes for the spicy flavors and got the pineapple serrano, which only came in the sealed bags rather than bulk by the pound. Julie is the person who helped us today, and she was delightful! She offered us samples and helped us with our questions. She was very nice and I would be happy for her to help us every time in the future! Great service and amazing jerky!! Anxiety induced questions before arriving that may help you: 1. Can you sample the jerky - yes, but not every flavor. If the jerky only comes in a pack and not bulk, it can't be sampled. 2. What are the prices- They aren't clearly posted, but we know it usually runs us $100 for us to get 1 pound. 3. I posted my review before but I guess it got taken down....Long story short I purchased 1 pound of their Jerkey at a whopping $131.00. A 1/2 pound of that was supposed to be a beef Korean BBQ , instead they gave me Turkey jerkey and I was already 50 miles down the road before I realized the mistake and to top it off the jerkey was very dry and bland. I have no complaints on the other 1/2 pound timber jack but I'll never buy from there again, I don't recommend $$$$ read more

The jerky here is delicious, HOWEVER they are EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! They do not list prices anywhere and that is a definite Red Flag! The young man sold us 1/4lb of jerky and it came to $52.00. When asked for a smaller amount, he told us that their jerky is only sold in 1/4, 1/2, and 1 pound amounts. We turned and left. We did not need jerky that bad. I can make my own for cheaper. The samples we had were really good and fresh, but we feel deceived. They should list prices and explain the cost to customers. By not doing that is bad customer service. I had trouble with getting my jerky delivered but thankfully finally have gotten an email from Jed that actually works. There is a small postal issue which they are currently investigating. I came here to buy some jerky for the road. Anthony was very nice in terms of his service and his attitude. We tried a few different jerkies and I settled on the drier hot cowboy brisket and some nuggets, I ended up spending over $200 but I was satisfied with the initial customer service and the flavor of the jerky that I tried. On the way to Vegas, I opened the jerky to try a piece and realized that he had given me the wrong jerky. We spoke to them and they said that the deal that I wanted wasn't on the jerky that I tried. Due to poor communication, I'm now stuck with jerky that I don't like and am out money. I'm very disappointed in the resolution that they provided me. I wish they had more empathy and realized that my money is hard-earned and not something that I just throw around. When I buy something. I always get some Beef Jerky here every time on my way to Las Vegas. They have THE BEST jerky that I have tried. They have option of the hard or soft jerky. I always opt for the soft and spicy flavor. They are very nice let you try as much of flavor you like to know which one you like. It is on the pricey side for beef jerky but you will not regret it. Impressive service for a jerky shop within the Eddie's rest stop on the way to Vegas for SoCal residents. We had always been fans of alien jerky, but wanted to take a look see with what Jedidiah had to offer. The associate that helped us with samples and explaining the flavors was super friendly and although it can get pricey, the flavor and quality of meat were excellent. When I mentioned I did not particularly like jerky because of how hard and chewy it could be, the associate immediately found some samples of softer jerky that he could recommend, which made it a very easy sell to me to purchase some to-go on the road. So this is a difficult review to write. The staff at the one off the 15 is really quite nice. The presentation is great, you get to taste little bits before buying. It is a good tasting. But. The cost is just too much, I don't know what I was thinking. I bought overall, about a pound. I should have not bothered. It's about $100 per pound. You can cure and brine your own for about 1/4 to 1/3 for a few pound honestly. I LOVE JEDIDIAH!! Super expensive beef jerky but truly my favorite and have been here 3 times at Eddie World to and from Las Vegas! They give free samples and so far my favorites are the briskets: the Bar-B-Que and the Sweet and Spicy hands down! The only thing is, it's $70 per pound and is quite confusing when you order. You see a sign that says $12.99 but in reality if you really read and pay attention... it's $12.99 per "quarter" pound. When you try your sample(s), you are blown away so much you don't pay attention (trust me it's happened to me!) so you're assuming $12.99 a pound and order it. They will ring you up and before you know it, you're paying $77! Hahahaha. Pay attention!!! You won't decline ordering some, like me, you'll tell them you want a quarter of a pound or you can tell them you want $15 worth, $20 worth, etc. and you'll get a small little bunch but hey... it's all worth it I promise. I asked the girl if they had something like that and she immediately said, YES! The COWBOY jerky. She gave me a sample and it was amazing! When I glanced at the sign I saw $19.95 a pound. So I ordered a half pound. My eyes popped out of my head when she said $40. I'm sure she gets that a lot. So the small print wasn't per pound but per half pound. So I changed my order to a quarter pound, cuz I don't needs to spend $40 on dried meat! Save that coinage for the slots in Vegas! But all joking aside, the jerky was the best I've had in a long time. It's locally sourced. You'll enjoy stopping at Eddie's World. Grab some candy too while you're there. The only downfall is that I think the pricing should be a bit more clear.
