I've had a lot of fun here. They have good drink specials early in the evening, and the bartenders really try to work fast with the crowd. They do a genuine service by providing free dance lessons 2 days a week, and they vary what is taught on a weekly basis. They are smart to build their clientele with lessons. I think they have a pretty smart business plan too. From the time they open to around 9:30 music is country and swing. After 9:30 as the crowd demographic shifts younger the music also includes contemporary tunes with less CW and swing. Its not a bad thing as this club is servicing two crowds in E Mesa. I have been back to this establishment because my friends all like it (not sure why) I'll bump it to 2 stars because it is fun if you have a dancing partner (my boyfriend did not ask to go back.) Its not fun otherwise. Creepy and smelly old men WILL ask you to dance. That's kinda fun though if you like dancing with your grandpa who might also want to date you. Cheap drinks some nights, but you can tell they are cheap. I just think they need more variety of music. It's a lot of 2 step. I have yet to find a good country bar in Phoenix metro. read more

It's a great dance club! Not just country which was a nice surprise for me. They mixed it all up. 80's rock, 90's hip hop, yesterdays and today's country. Lots of space even when there are lots of people in the venue. Usually always someone who you can find to dance with too and teach you a thing or two. :) read more

I have tried this place several times and have been disappointed each time. This time, we arrived 7 minutes to 11 pm and I was charged a full cover price, when I found out seconds later that it would have been free at 11 pm. Then, we were given 'drink specialty' cards when we walked in, but when we went up to the bar, we were told that the drink specials were over at 11. What?! Also, every time we happen to suggest a country song that isn't awful, we wait to see if it is played, but they NEVER play song requests after saying that they will. Waste of money. read more

If you are still 21... this is the place for you. The dancing was only Ho Hum. Too many women ready and willing to dance... but not enough men... A lot of little girls, and their puppy dogs in tow. I've seen better dancers and had a waaay better pick of dance partners. read more

Wednesday nights bring out the Freaks! People watching was cool. Music was horrible and the waitresses all but one were rude rude rude! Then they go on to say the people that come out on these types of nights don't tip!!! No how can I help you? No smile, just plain rude & miserable wait staff! Wow!! No wonder no one tips! We came at 6:30 for the dance lessons and they were teaching the "Arizona two step." They taught a couple's dance, but it was great instruction! It was mostly people 65+ until about 8:30PM, but once younger people started coming in it got pretty crowded. Girls had $.50 drinks until 10PM which was great! Wish they played more line dance songs over two step dances, but it was really fun watching all the couples! read more

We were visiting from Louisiana and wanted to go dancing. We were unable to do that as the "regulars" would not allow people to dance without getting slammed around. Being almost kicked in the head from someone being tossed around was not good.The drinks were fantastic but not being able to dance without being hit killed the experience for us. read more

This place is awesome!! The staff is so nice from the time you walk into the doors to leaving. They care how you get home and even offer safe rides home if needed. The dance floor is huge. If you want to go out and have a good time this is the place to go. You can rent the back room for parties or weddings. Management is awesome!! The bouncer was one of the must rude person. He discriminated me because I have a studder and slur my words on a regular basis. Completely unprofessional. I will never go back and recommend it for everyone else. I find it highly disreputable for them to Discrinitate against people with a disability I will never give them my business and I hope others follow the bouncer should be fired. And you guys will be getting a lawsuit because of him and the circumstance. I highly recommend relieving him if i his dutry. I have never felt such way but I hope your ready. Had a good time but went to the bar and Sierra the bartender totally ignored me when I asked for another beer. She was too busy going through tickets looking for her tips. I stood there and asked again and she totally snubbed me. She is not a good representation of the establishment. Totally rude and when I got the beer from someone else and told her thank you for your help (facetiously of course )she called me a bitch. Ok, so WTF! Where the hell is Brian!! We went to D & D's last night and I realized Brian hadn't walked by...I asked one of the girls and was told he's gone, not sure why, they won't tell us. He was one of the reasons we went there. He took care of us. He seemed to care about the customers. I sure hope the new guy is just as good. If not, we may need to find a new hang out! OK, went to D&D Friday and saw Brian at the door. He is still there. I was glad to see him, as he is a great guy and cares about the customers....now if I can just take some time to meet Jared the new guy and see what he is about. I hope he is just as good. Ok so, I've been here once when it wasn't a "concert night". The dancing was ok, but there was zero etiquette controlled by the security so people had drinks & didn't know how to not bump into others. Tonight, (4/29) when there was a concert here... the fact that they were clearly understaffed to handle the cleaning, is ridiculous. There tables that had 10-12 empty beer bottles, plus cups and shot shooters. No one cleaning, no one as a server, etc. if you're going to have a concert night, have it maintained. Make it WORTH the $20 cover charge to get in. $20 to a) not dance because the floor isn't controlled b) barely drink because people don't know where to go c) not have a place to drink because the tables are disgusting - is awful. How dare you be a country bar to host a country artist and be as disgusting and unprofessional as you are. Be the country bar that maintains the expectations and look of that bar. Be a country bar people want to go to and stay at! The bar service is not only terrible but consistently messy!!!!! Hire bar backs! Hire servers or people who can buss your establishment! It shouldn't take 10 min to get a drink at the bar!!! read more

This place tried to rip off myself, my sister-in-law and her cousin. We were there this past Friday and We each opened one tab and signed our respective tabs at the end of the night. This morning my sister-in-law checked her bank statement and saw that she had been charged 3 times for 3 different amounts. Her cousin checked her account and was charged twice for 2 different amounts and when I checked my account I saw that I had been charged twice for 2 different amounts as well. Funny thing is, my sister-in-law had her card information sold to someone by an employee a few years back and now has to deal with this bs again. I called my bank and had the charges disputed and although they are handling the situation and crediting back the extra charge they advised for me to call Denim and Diamonds and ask them why they are double charging people. I plan on calling however they don't open until 6pm and no one ever answers the phone. If you decide to go here I highly recommend you save yourself some trouble and pay with cash. read more

Fun place, but the ladies night .50 cent drinks are watered down. That vodka or rum or whatever you are getting poured into your cocktail, is not pure alcohol it's definitely mixed with water you can even taste it. You're spending 50 cents all night long to not even get a buzz. If you want to actually feel it, go with the 50 cent domestic beers instead.. Oh and watch out because cops wait outside the doors for people who have been drinking and are about to drive. read more

Biggest and best dance floor out of any country bars in the valley, the atmosphere is chill, and the staff is friendly.

Love the bar, not the new DJ. Plays too much hip hop and won't take requests. Seems like an ass.

Fun place to get your dance on! I've been to many country bars and this one is great because the floor is actually big enough to really dance. They have great drink specials too. My only complaint is there is a DJ most of the time. I've only seen a live band once. The DJ is great...but for country, I like a live band. read more

Would be good if the music was better. I asked the d.j. if he took requests and he said yes, but that he is required to follow a format. The format is mellow modern country videos. The dancers try to swing dance but none of the songs are fast enough. They still try. Also there is no basic dance etiquette enforced. Drinks on the dance floor, people stationary in the outside lane that should be for 2 stepping. They need to play some southern country like The South's going to do it again by Charlie Daniels or Sweet Home Alabama by Lynard Skynard, you know, music you can really cowboy swing dance to. read more

Last Saturday a large group of about 25 or more line dancers from Awhatukee meet at Demin and Diamonds hoping to dance. We were so disappointed! The DJ refused to play songs by request. Claims he was required to follow his format. We were hoping to make more trips in future to this bar and do some line dancing. I just went for the first time last weekend and it was incredible! I had a BLAST. So unique in that people of all ages (over 21 of course) are all there and unify on the dance floor! I was amazed by all of the incredible dancers and was pleased that the line dances were easy to pick up for a newbie like myself. I gotta say, after reading the reviews for this place I was pretty leery to go there. We got there at 615pm to participate in the free dance class they have on Saturday nights. When we arrived we got straight in, there were a bunch of older couples dancing. The class started, the dance was a little advanced for my husband and I (rookies), nevertheless it was fun. After the class ended they opened up the dance floor. Long necks and u call it drinks for .50 between 8 and 10? You can't beat that. The bathrooms were clean and the atmosphere was good. I was surprised to see the diversity of people there, all different ages and walks of life, after all the comments about the teeny boppers wearing cut offs and flip flops, I was sure the evening was going to take a turn for the worse, but it didn't. We stayed until about 11pm, and I enjoyed the whole time I was there. I would definitely go back, but I think I need to work on my dancing first! read more
