a golf ball on the ground

Not a big fan of this place right now. I love golf, no matter what kind of shape the course is in. However, if you add the condition with the atmosphere from here. It's kind of hard to over look. Condition: Tee box's are in horrible shape. I don't think any of them are flat. Most of them it's a challenge to find grass. The greens are in rough shape, only because of the poor etiquette by the golfers there. The fairways are in decent shape, ground is a little hard. I was however surprised how soft the bunkers are. Well I just mentioned the conditions, which I would be ok with. They do not have a driving range. They do have a huge putting green, but! No chipping signs all over the place? Golf Course is diffidently a party course. Drunks all over the place, people hitting into you, and takes forever for a round. Maybe it was a bad day, and I will be going back again. But as of now, I'm not a fan.

Painted Mountain is a good course for those that don't want to pay over a hundred dollars. With open fairways, short yardage, and minimal to no elevation change or doglegs, the track's set up is great for the pin hunters. For us, the location was convenient to my buddy's house and it was a warm up round for the weekend where we couldn't get into too much trouble. The pricing ($83) is fair especially for early morning tee times in the spring. Checking in was a breeze and the bag guys introduced to the other twosome we were paired with, guided us to the first tee, and we were gripping and ripping 5 minutes before our scheduled tee time. Without a driving range to warm up, the first hole will sure to be a challenge as you need an accurate tee shot on this dogleg right par 5. Bring your range finder also as there is no GPS on the carts. The course was in decent shape with intermittent bald spots and the greens were slow but rolled pretty true. 8 and 14 are definitely drivable par 4s. You'll go out at par 37 with three manageable par 5s, and after you make the turn, you can put your foot on the gas, as you'll head home with a par 33 back nine with 4 par 3s and very short par 4s.

This was such a disappointment! The club does not have enough carts so we waited long past our tee time as were numerous other golfers. Please guys, either don't book so many tee times or have enough carts! This was very frustrating.

We go here on Saturday nights. They have karaoke. It's not any karaoke, it is high end. They have back up singers and a guy that will play the guitar for you and if your song calls for a harmonica your covered there as well. Super fun. Usually the same crowd and they are very good singers. If you want to go somewhere and watch a bunch of people have a very very good time and this is the place.

Friendly staff. Sent several people to the course and they reported that they had a great time.

Poor condition even in prime season. Exceedingly slow play with little attention to pace by staff. No driving range.

Good short coarse. However fairways are burnt a lot of dead spots around greens. Trees unkept. For the money play somewhere else

The pancakes with bacon cooked right into them were such a fun twist and tasted amazing. The green chili bowl had great flavor with a nice kick, but it wasn't overly spicy. I added bacon to mine and it was really good. But honestly, the star of the show was the side of apple butter. It was so delicious it almost tasted like dessert! If you haven't tried their new breakfast yet, it's definitely worth checking out! The prices are really affordable too.

We made reservations at Pizzicata in anticipation of both Valentine's Day and the need to re-carb after the event. We arrived at the host stand a few minutes before our reservation, but were told that there were no indoor tables available. If we wanted to be seated immediately, we'd have to accept an outdoor table, even though we had a reservation for indoor seating. We opted to wait because the weather was chilly by Arizona standards, and we were still recovering from the race. A couple of minutes later, another hostess approached us and asked whether we had reservations and were waiting. When we confirmed, she immediately left to find us a table, and we were seated very shortly afterwards. I thought very little of this until the owner came to our table and apologized for the issue. He was kind and sincere in his regret for the situation and was excited to tell us about the staff and the food. We were wildly appreciative of this attention to detail and service! We shared the potato croquettes, and they were everything I was hoping they'd be and more. (Light lore: I chose Pizzicata because I saw a picture of these croquettes on their online menu.) For dinner, my husband had the Travolta pizza, and I had the gnocchi gorgonzola. We both did that thing where we sat back in our chairs, breathed deeply, and declared, "oh dang, that's goooood." We were both so happy with our choices - I can't speak to the pizza, but that was some of the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy soft in this perfectly nutty, cheesy, creamy sauce. *chef's kiss* For dessert, we shared the tiramisu, which was perfect in every way. If we weren't already walking funny because of the race, we'd have still waddled out of Pizzicata from happy fullness. The service, the food, the vibe - we're here for it and we'll be back the next time we're in Mesa.

The queso was rich without being too heavy, and the mustard added a nice contrast. For my meal, I had the Caesar salad topped with a bistro steak cooked a perfect medium rare. The romaine was crisp, the garlic-anchovy dressing bold, and the garlic croutons and parmesan tied everything together. The steak was tender, flavorful, and elevated the salad. At the table, we also ordered the cheesesteak with Angus beef, roasted peppers and onions, Havarti cheese, and garlic aioli served on a baguette, with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was hearty and satisfying, and the fries were really good The wagyu burger was another standout--topped bacon, Gruyère and smoky blue cheese, caramelized onions, tomato jam, and garlic aioli on a pub bun. The beef and bacon were fabulous and the fries cooked to perfection Jake, our server, was terrific--attentive, friendly, and helped make the whole experience even better. We finished with the butterscotch bread pudding topped with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce, which was the perfect ending--warm, comforting, and just the right amount of sweetness Overall, a great patio dining experience with flavorful dishes, excellent service, and plenty of variety.

Mason was on point with all aspects of service, he was attentive, welcoming, and really made us feel at home. I was also impressed with the new bartender whose name I didn't catch but it was her first night and I would have never known unless she told me. She was friendly personable and slinging drinks like she'd been there for a while. Great job to both of them! As for the food, it was phenomenal as expected but a special call out needs to be made for the butterscotch bread pudding. It was complementary for my birthday and I probably would have never tried it before but it turned out to be the best bread pudding I've had in ages. So tender and sweet delicious!! 5 stars. Highly recommend!
