Great little bar! We were in the area and popped in for lunch & drinks. Staff was very friendly. They have a small menu, but I had the cauliflower crust pizza (off menu & delicious!) & hubs had the cheeseburger. Food was very good and we were pleasantly surprised with a reasonable bill!! I love this little bar! It's my kind of place. They have indoor and outdoor seating with TV's. The service is always amazing. They do offer a few food items but the cheeseburger is my favorite. Super cheap beer. Great place to just hang with a friend. read more

Really loud music all night on st Patrick's day. It was a Monday this year. People have to work. Ridiculous considering your business is surrounded by neighborhoods you'd think they'd be more considerate. Was in the neighborhood so decided to check this place out. Walked inside and immediately there was this weird smell that was off putting and super strong. The place is very small and they seemed to have crammed in as many tables and seats as possible, it was hard to walk to the bar without squeezing between chairs and such. Service was good, just got a couple of beers, paid and went to sit outside on the patio to get away from the smell. The patio is also small and awkwardly shaped. Basically finished the beers as quick as possible to leave. I personally won't want to come back again, but I've heard their pizza is great, and it seems to be a huge hit for people 60 years old and older. read more

Lots of locals who pretty much take over the place and you'll hear the same story 100 times depending how much they've had to drink. Servers are horrible and don't want to be there which sets the tone for what to expect service wise. Nothing! Lol One great bartender who ignores the drama and his lazy counterparts by running this place single-handedly and is all business. Met the owner once and she seems nice but she's there 24/7 so trust is probably an issue? Very clicky. You're either in or you're just another Joe and Sheila. read more

Love, Love, Love this place! It is a great landing place! Every employee is wonderful ,however, they have and keep the Patio Doors open, so all the Cigarette and Cigar smoke and cold and bugs comes in. For people who have breathing issues, it's problematic. They have a new gazebo on the back patio and now both doors are open by it. So you can easily suck up way too much smoke. I do not want to rock the boat, but speaking for all that have breathing issues, maybe shut the doors! When it becomes too smokey and too cold, the blowing dust and bugs in your food and drinks are inevitable. Do not get me wrong, the Rodeo is my "go to" place because of everything the Employees do and their prices. I just want to send out an awareness to all concerned. It could be good...we were excited that the pizzas weren't just frozen, they add the toppings so you can customize but they put SO MUCH CHEESE on them it just is a cheesy, soggy mess! It was inedible for me, I mostly picked at the toppings. I can't knock the uniqueness of the fact that this little bar is off a best western lobby and was full of seemingly local residents singing karaoke and having a blast. The nightly $1.00 food specials and local entertainment are great but the service is soooo slow. We've tried a couple times and have had the same bad service 2 out of 3 times. I think the mixed reviews on here depend who the reviewers get as a server. I got both on my visit which is why the 3 stars. 1 star for the service from the first female server who you could tell hated her job and life in general. This is our NEW favorite sports bar for these reasons. 1) It's a locals type of cowboy sports bar with the crowd being older bunch with a hometown feel. 2) Drinks and beer are very reasonably priced. 3) GREAT people watching. 4) Restrooms are clean. 5) Close to Apache Junction. 6) Free popcorn. The only thing that I would like is a better waitress staff. They only checked on us when the bar was almost empty and almost never when people started showing up. Also they could have told us about the free popcorn instead of us finding out on our own. But I can deal with this so I am giving this place a 5 star. read more
