I called ahead, and the bartender who answered was super friendly and told me to come on in they had seats available. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and very clean. You can tell this spot has a loyal following there were several regulars at the bar raving about the bartender, David, and now I understand why. His service was phenomenal. Attentive, personable, and full of great recommendations. For dinner, I ordered the salmon, and it was absolutely delicious. perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully plated with mashed potatoes and cheesy bread on the side. I also tried the bruschetta appetizer, which was fresh, bright, and drizzled with just the right amount of balsamic glaze. The live music added a great touch to the evening not too loud, just the perfect background for a relaxed night out. It was a beautiful Saturday and only 2 other people came in the whole time. The woman pouring our wine was very sweet and friendly. Surprisingly though, she had no knowledge of the wines and said she has never tasted them because she doesn't drink. We asked a couple questions about how long they've been a winery and she couldn't answer any. She even thought the animals that had passed away recently were llamas. I explained to her they were alpacas. I really think if you're going to hire someone you should make sure they are at least somewhat knowledgeable about the business especially since your customers are paying quite a bit. But like I said the wines and the views are wonderful and I absolutely love the dog theme. So that's why I gave 5 stars.

Old Pueblo Cellars is serving up a some great unique wine varietals like Malvasia Bianca, tannat, malbec, Cabernet, Syrah and other unique blends like their Super Tucson. The wine tasting room is a bit small and but has a personal charm of southwestern themes. The outdoor patio areas are great to view the local landscape and take in the warm weather and watch the occasional thunderstorm. Also check out their wine flavored slushies when available.

After taking a brief tour of the property, we went inside and were greet by the nicest and most compassionate woman you could ever meet... Next to my wife of course. She was friendly, gave us the history of the winery and shared with us what brought her to work at Old Pueblo. We were there a little over an hour sharing stories; how we met our partners, what's fascinating about wines and what makes Old Pueblo unique. The wines were delicious; 100% organic and prepared in a way where you enjoy every sit and get every bit of the flavor as intended. This is definitely saved on our list of wineries outside of California that we will be going back to. Just got to plan the next road trip.

While not a big deal, it did take away from the ambiance and winery feel. Sorry, I don't remember the exact names of the bottles but I will do my best to distinguish them. Also... I'm a bit of a wine snob, but know nothing about wine. I just know what I like. I will start with the Pinot Grigio that's made at this winery. It had a bit of a sweet tinge to it. Not overpowering but definitely hits you on the back end. It was ok, but I don't really care for a sweetness in most my wines. We also had another Pinot Grigio that was not made at that location. That was more to my liking, with a nice dry back to it and a bit of bitterness. We also had a sweet white. I remember this one because they didn't really qualify it a Syrah, Reisling, or Moscato. They compared to a Reisling but I feel it was more adjacent to a Syrah. It was berry forward. Not for me but my grandmother loved it. After the two bottles we drank by the glass. My wife and I stuck with the imported Pinot and my in-law la stuck with the Syrah adjacent. We also ordered one of their flat bread pizzas. While it seemed as if they didn't really have much of a kitchen the pizza was a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed it. As it got later in the afternoon people began to leave. We were among the last to start to leave, but as we were walking out you could see cars began to arrive and they were in the stages of setting up for an even event with a band. I don't even drink and I'm here all the time for the events. Run clubs, post yoga hangs, ladies nights, you name it, they've probably hosted it. Always packed, always a vibe, and super LGBTQ friendly. They bring in local vendors constantly, hair tinsel, mini tattoos, permanent jewelry, press on nails, makeup, even pajama pop ups. It's like a rotating showcase of Tucson creatives and I love that. Bonus points for the stocked bathroom with a full freshen up moment. There are so many fast food chains around the area.. but sometimes, you just want a meal made with love from a mom and pop shop! First of all, we don't have a Total Wine or BevMo in the area, so this is a great spot to find some unique beers, tiny bottles, wines and hard liquor. The store carries a good variety of unique flavors you typically don't see at a local grocery store. This place was POPPIN' as soon as we entered. It's a place to hang out to grab a brew with your crew along with some yummy sandwiches!!! I didn't expect the sandwiches to be HUGE, by the way. We got the Jimmy Kerr Duo (which is named after one of the streets in Casa Grande!) and cannot wait to try their other roast beef sandwiches!
