The staff member said it had horseradish, so that explains it. - Burger of the Month: My coworkers pick, and she raved about the burger itself and the onion rings. Though sat for easily 10+ minutes waiting for our server to notice us to flag for a box to take my food to go, we still were pleased with the food and the experience prior to that. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end. If you're coming for the food or the service, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. We came in as a party of five a little after 9:00 PM and were told the kitchen closed at 10:00 PM. No problemo, we were ready to order right away. Instead, our server didn't return to take our order until around 9:20PM, despite nearby tables continuing to receive service. That was the first sign things weren't going well. I ordered the carne asada nachos specifically because the menu advertised them with queso instead of shredded cheese. I even mentioned to my group that was the reason I was ordering them. I also added a side of sweet potato waffle fries. About 25 minutes after we had already placed our order, the server came back and asked if I'd like a different meat. Like of course I don't want a different meat that's why I ordered carne asada. The server didn't say that they were out of carne asada, but I read between the lines and opted for ground beef cause really the queso is what makes the nachos. Also, I couldn't help wondering why it took 25 minutes to find that out. Then the food arrived. My nachos immediately looked different than expected. Instead of queso, they were covered with shredded cheese. Nothing was mentioned about being out of queso. I notice there was none. When I asked about it, the server casually said, "Oh yeah, we're out of queso too." Wait...what? So the restaurant was out of both the carne asada and the queso. The two main ingredients that made me order the dish in the first place. No one cared to mentioned either of those things when taking my order OR when coming back and asking if I wanted a different meat didn't also mention they were out of queso. Had I known, I would have ordered something completely different from the start. To the server's credit, she did let me order something else. Sucks for the kitchen because they were already closed. I ended up getting the sliders, but they were just as underwhelming as everything else. The food overall tasted like frozen products that had simply been reheated. Nothing tasted fresh, especially considering the prices. The biggest issue wasn't just the mediocre food, it was the lack of communication and straight lie when placing my food in front of me. If items are unavailable, tell customers before they order or at least when placing their food down, not after they've waited half an hour and not saying anything at all. Between the disappointing service, poor communication, and unforgettable food for all the wrong reasons, this place completely lost my trust. I'd honestly rather spend half the money at IHOP, where the food is more consistent and I'd know what to expect.

The Mesa Arts Center is also open late to 8pm. Ive wanted to check this place out for awhile now so wandered in on Thu night. Bar was full when I walked in and all men at the bar. I ordered a wheat berry lemon of some kind here. Draft came to $7 and some change. I opted to sit outside and the weather was comfortable with a nice breeze and a storm was looming and it was breezy. Beer was meh, not really a wheat beer and more on the bitter side. There was a DJ outside spinning some funk, but it was just OK for me. Overall, a bit of a letdown, but I'd be willing to give it another try on another night.

We have been to a couple Margarita Sundays & most recently, we recommended a couple colleagues stay…read morehere for the week they would be here in town. We regret that decision now. We all decided to spend an afternoon out by the pool. We ordered drinks, appetizers, and were swimming around with plenty of room (maybe 5 other people out in the pool). Our friend decided to walk down a level to where the bar is, but the path was unnecessarily long & inconvenient, so she sat on the low railing & flipped her legs over the side, as a shortcut. It was really no big deal, but apparently the towel lady across the way thought so because she called out Harrah's security team, which included the manager & 5 other people, who all proceeded to stand in a row. They called out to my friend to come to them so they could speak to her. We were all perplexed because she had not been loud, rowdy, disruptive or disrespectful. They demanded that she be escorted to her room right away & would not be allowed in the pool area for the rest of the night. We could not believe it! Never have any of us seen this kind of action taken on paying guests at a hotel. I've never even seen this action taken with people who were rowdy & seriously drunk. They were very demeaning & rude. It completely ruined our colleagues stay here in Arizona. The handling of this situation was beyond unprofessional! I think Harrah's is lucky to have anyone stay in their hotel at all, considering the entire place stinks of cigarette smoke. Even cheap hotels in Vegas smell better than this joint. I will never recommend this place to anyone!
