I don't even know where to begin! Another bartender, Nita, recommended the sangria at Oak & Fork. I fell in love with sangria while in Spain and have been searching for something comparable in the states. I finally found it at Oak & Fork! I was expecting a premade drink but Richard mixed the Brandy, Grand Marnier and everything else right in front of us. As if the drink alone wasn't delicious enough, the literal cherry on top was the Luxardo cherry garnish. The olive oil dip was more than I expected. Baguettes were toasted to perfection. Not too soft, not too hard. The chopped olives balanced out the parmesan. The grilled garlic was the perfect addition to the dish. The Italian meatball gnocchi soup was hearty with large meatballs and flavorful gnocchi. a little bit on the spicy side but delicious nonetheless. You cant really get meatball sliders wrong. Oak & Fork appreciates that basics and didn't try to "fancy it up". The brioche was rich and soft. The Pomodoro sauce was flavorful and tasted much how my Nona made it. Meatballs were bigger than the brioche buns! Everything from the bun to the sauce and mozzarella created the perfect nest for the seasoned meatballs. While we were there we were never treated like another random guest. We were always treated like family. Richard was friendly, professional and gave us amazing recommendations. We were looking to have a nice dinner in town and we found it, it is inside the casino so it is a more loud causal environment. The service we received was amazing, our waitress was wonderful with her recommendations and descriptions of the dishes. Starting with the oak lobster dip, I am not a fan of mushrooms however, these were big enough for you to simply pick out, and the dip was amazing! I loved the idea of the build your own pasta, starting with their numerous noodle options. The vodka sauce was delicious. O&F tagliata cooked well and a yummy salsa verde topped it. I have been going to Oak and Fork since they opened, it is a very pleasant atmosphere, especially when you can eat outside, but either way is nice. The service has always been great and the food was even better in the last menu they had, I haven't gone this month since they shifted their menu. It seems to have much less variety and if I was staying at the hotel, I would probably get tired of it real fast. However, I still think it's a nice environment and pleasant place to go. read more

This restaurant is located inside the Ak-Chin casino. There is free parking (casino/hotel parking). Pros Food was excellent. We tried a variety of things (all sort of shareable small plates but each was certainly big enough for a meal) and the ingredients on the charcuterie board (which you can customize yourself at $3.95/ounce per item, minimum 6 ounces) were all good. The menu has a nice selection of various items. House cabernet is Sterling for $10/glass which is a decent wine at a decent price. There is also a Dau option for $14/glass. You can use your Caesars rewards points here. Cons Service was a little underwhelming. Water glasses and wine glasses set empty. Our charcuterie order was given to the table next to us so when we received ours, it was a bunch of stuff we didn't order but they made it right and added the items we wanted without charging more. The host said they don't take reservations when we asked at 4pm (that's what time they open) but when we returned at 6pm and asked if we could have a particular table, they then said it had been reserved by another party. Hrm. Confusing. The tables are almost all very low (like coffee tables) which was find for us because we were doing a bunch of shareable items and liked being close enough to talk to each other, but not everyone wants to balance food to their mouth. If you prefer a standard table, this may not be your place. Although we arrived at 6pm and the restaurant opened at 4pm, they were out of several items for the charcuterie board (two types of meat and one type of cheese) already and were out of the tacos. They don't substitute anything. I wanted the salad but can't have lactose cheese (it comes with burrata) and asked if they could sub goat cheese instead. The answer was no. Not sure why that would have been a problem but apparently it was. I was told by the server they will happily remove things and still charge you the same price as if you'd received them but they won't substitue. There are very limited vegetarian/vegan options. There is no happy hour (apparently there used to be but they got rid of it). Hours are quite limited so check before showing up. We weren't given any type of cocktail or wine list when we were seated so I had to ask what the house wine was. Not sure if they have one or not, but no one offered one to us. Overall - Despite the numerous cons, I'd definitely go back for the food alone. It truly is the best meal at the resort and I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. read more

Coming to oak and fork used to be a tradition every time we were in town. We enjoyed their appetizers especially their brussels sprouts and flat breads. Well...apparently they got a new head chef who completely changed everything. No more flat breads or yummy apps. In fact, the only things they kept from the old menu was their crab dip and "cannolis". Their cannolis used to be amazing and now they serve a "deconstructed cannoli" that is pieces of a waffle cone and the filling in a bowl with minimal chocolate chips and no pistachios. Really?! A waffle cone?! It's the same type that is used for ice cream. As we waited for our "cannolis" to go we talked with a few of the staff and dining guests. No one is happy with this new menu...and it's sad that it is not what it used to be. Now that their yummy appetizers are gone there really isn't a difference between oak and fork and chop block and brew other than the obvious steak. read more

This is THE place to eat at Ak-chin. Nice listing of wine and spirits. Everything is à la cart and delicious. The tacos and surf and turf were absolutely excellent. and my father loved the tempura shrimp. We also had their Thanksgiving special, which was enough food to feed a small army. They gave you all the sides, including light and dark turkey meat. Along with the delicious pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. It wasn't cheap at over $50 a person but it was actually well worth it. Recently spent a couple of nights at Ak Chin while on the way out of town. we have several $100 celebration dinners and decided to use one at Oak and Fork. It was a Thursday night and not crowded. The hostess, Deb, greeted us and took us to a table. As we were beginning to sit she decided to take us to another table. The second table had to be one of the worst in the restaurant. It was table 56. I did not want to sit there as it was about a foot from another couple on one side and jammed up against the wall on the other. I told Deb I would prefer another seat but she refused. She said something about not being able to seat anyone in the other servers area, although she sat the next single person there. The uncomfortable table and her poor attitude set the tone for a mediocre meal. There were many other seats available, even the counter but she would not accommodate us. We were hungry so we stayed. The new menu is just ok. The food is not visually appealing and uninspired. The creamer for my coffee was curdled. Overall the experience was not good. Much of that is directly because of Deb the hostess who spent most of her time gabbing with people than doing actual work. A hostess should know that they set the tone for the dining experience. Will probably try it again to see if this was a one off. Hopefully the next time will be more enjoyable. read more

I was treated poorly and to top it off they took a long time to take my order took everyone else's order around the table, gave them their food and my food was given to me late my friends packed up, their food, and was ready to go when I got my food. no one at the table could really believe what happened but it happened to me. LOVE eating here! Each time we have had dinner here, we've been impressed and satisfied both with the food and with the staff. The service has always exceptional. They don't hover over our table and yet our drinks are always filled and have everything we need when we need it. They're also always so upbeat and makes me feel like they care and actually enjoy working (which you do not see too often). This is my third visit to Oak & Fork and I leave completely satisfied every time! On this visit, I was with my best friend and her family. We came here to try their Seafood tower, and decided to order a flatbread and the lobster crap drip as well. I've previously tried the tenderloins and it's probably one of my favorite menu items! Everyone at our table really enjoyed the seafood tower! It's absolutely worth it! You get so much! Lobster, shrimp, crab legs, mussels, oysters, and clams! The best part of this restaurant is the patio seating with the firepit. It's an amazing place to sit and enjoy an evening. Menu only consists of small plates and appetizers. This was fine for us. So another Friday date night was upon us and we had already planned on going to Harrahs Ak-Chin casino to see our friends in the band Voyager play. At first we were going to try Stone and Barrel at Oakwood Country Club, but the wait was too long, so we'll try that next week. Oak and Fork is a tapas restaurant and is perfect for sharing small bites before a show or a night at the tables. The lobster and crab dip was delicious and a nice portion, crab cakes were tasty as well. Tempura shrimp made a nice trio. While we didn't try the flatbreads, they looked good and will try them next time. The tablet menus are pretty cool too. read more
