Such a fun and yummy spot for brunch. 3 visits down so far & the staff really make it memorable to want to come back. I've tried their chilaquiles & their tacos dorados. Their micheladas & mimosas are my go-tos. Recently we celebrated a friends birthday & we ordered the $30 Celebration Shots (6 speciality shots) & staff came out blasting music & had all the lights like if it was a Vegas night club so cute & fun! Chilaquiles is an awesome and fresh place here in Maricopa with awesome food! We love the visit on special occasions because they will decorate the restaurant for things like Valentine's Day! The only issue we've run into is the service. Twice of the four times we've dined there I've had to get up and ask for our check. Update: We stopped by for a second visit and were pretty disappointed unfortunately. The lemonade came initially, so the first round of drinks were decent. The second time around, the mineral water was completely flat and It took over 20 minutes to fix-- when my husband asked for some water at the bar because I had been without a drink the majority of the time, and it was uncomfortably hot (seemed like there was no AC) and I'm pregnant, the manager who was manning the bar said "I'll get someone else to do it," something to the extent of asking another waiter. the street tacos carnitas were also very bad. It's the meat on the left and it was 99% pork fat. But very soggy and oily. Not crunchy or very edible. And tasted primarily of oil- no real flavor. The birria taco was good however. My daughter's bean and cheese burrito was also very disappointing- we tried it and it was mostly oily mozzarella which is just odd for Mexican cuisine. By the time our waitress came back we just asked for the check. I'm honestly not impressed, guys. I don't know if we'll be back. read more

I decided to try CMK a try. I went for brunch with my daughter. They have great outdoor seating. When the weather is cooler, I would definitely like to sit outside. Today it's a little toasty, so we decided to sit at the bar inside. They have a DJ today playing a great mix of music from cumbias to 90's hip hop. I just wish the volume was down a hair so you could actually hear the servers. We were greeted immediately by our server/bartender. Our drink orders were taken and we were given menus. We ordered shots, lots of shots.. celebrating my upcoming birthday. The food was amazing. I ordered their avocado toast beef birria tacos... chef's kiss. The shells were perfectly cooked. The meat was flavorful. I honestly was never going to come here, because of how rudely my son were treated at their location on Southern. I wanted to see what Maricopa was getting. WAY TOO LOUDE. TWO different stations playing in the same room CAN IT BE ANY LOUDER? We got the everything taco and they were good, the guac was really good and that made it all work. The steak was very flavorful and juicy. Stay away from the hot sauce. You will not get free chips and salsa. Get your margaritas from Plaza Bonito. $12 and not a hint of tequila, downed it like water, waste of money on that. We might go back, we haven't decided. This is the 3rd time of come here my husband has tried the chilaquilas trio , I got the dorados , my grandma has got the omelette and my kids have tried the breakfast and dinner kids menu. Everything has been so delicious and the portions are HUGE ! It's great to have a local Mexican restaurant with so many options , always piping hot plates not cold and just great service ! What a great addition to Maricopa! I always said if another Mexican restaurant ever opened up in Maricopa, it has to stand out. It has to showcase food not normally prepared here or at the very least prepare typical Mexican dishes in a way that stands out and separates them from their competition. I think this place does this very well! Their menu offerings are indeed different with a twist. They offer menu items not found in the other Mexican restaurants in town like concha's, cafe de Olla, churro French Toast, amazing pancake builds just to name a few. We arrived on a weekend morning; so only the Brunch menu was available. We ordered a Cafe de Olla, Chilaquiles Trio, Dorado Tacos. and a Churro Sundae! Everything was delicious. The Cafe de Olla was a bit too sweet for me. The hot churros and ice cream was the perfect ending to our meal. We enjoyed our meal so much, we came for dinner. We ordered the Molcajete Cielo, Mar y Tiera. It had chorizo, shrimp, Carne asada, grilled chicken, grilled cactus, queso fresco, and salsa ranchera served in a molcajete. The order came with choice of tortillas, rice, and beans. It cost $35.00 and can feed two people easily. This is my favorite menu item so far. It was so good! I can't wait to try their other menu items. They serve Breakfast & Brunch every morning and they also offer Early Bird breakfast items at reduced costs! Came for breakfast. First of all - the staff was excellent, super friendly and accommodating. This visit was at best mediocre for me. We came here for happy hour previously . Had the nachos with the chicken tinga and was delicious. Had margaritas too and they were also really good. So decided to try breakfast. I'm really disappointed that the experience was not as great this time. First of all ordered coffee and it was lukewarm at best. Told the server and asked about a coffee that comes in the clay cups when she said it was a cinnamon coffee, that sounded good, so I ordered it instead and it came out piping hot, much better. But then my breakfast, the big papa, which looked and tasted good, but it also came out just barely warm. My husband said his was hot and we got them at the same time. Place was pretty busy, regardless though there should be check of the plate to make sure it's plated correctly and it's going out hot. I told the server and they did discount the ticket but honestly I would've rather paid full price and had the food hot, it ruined the experience of going out for breakfast. All in all the food is actually really tasty but not so sure I would try it again for breakfast. read more
