The pros: close to my house/work. Has shrimp blanket on the menu and will try on my next dine-in visit or pick up. I picked up and the service was fast. Price is good, and it's byob if we dine in. This could be my new favorite thai takeout in Logan Sq. A sign that they're legit? Real chinese broccoli in their pad se ew! Skip the veggie egg rolls. They're overly brown yet soggy. You guys, wow. First time customer and they did it up righteous. Grubhubbed Saturday night dinner and was here 20 minutes later. Order perfect to specs (and there were several). Excited to order again and get into their noodle dishes and other apps. Update to come. But you, now, eat their mango sticky rice. Dinner included: - Tom Yum soup: 3.5/5, pretty good, depth lacking, could have used a little more fish sauce. - Chive dumplings: 4/5, new food for me. Soft, gelatinous steamed bun-like dumpling, bunch of scalions inside. Reminds me of something I'd usually only find in Chinatown. - Yellow curry (extra spicy): 4.5/5, awesome. Good quality coconut milk, real spice, viscosity was not too thin. Potatoes were undercooked though. Honorable mention-the white rice that accompanied it. High quality had actual flavor of its own. - Egg rolls: 3/5, your standard American Chinese restaurant kind but like twice the size. - Stick rice w/ mango: 5/5, sweet Moses I wanted three more of these. The food is tasty and the flavors are well-balanced. The Pad Woon Sen and Pad Kee Mao are both delicious, and the papaya salad is very nice as well. First and last time I will ever order from this place. Spent $100 dollars for three appetizers and three LITTLE entrees. This entrees resemble a small order from an ordinary chinese restaurant, and not even filled. The containers were halfway filled. They also skimp on the meat and the thai flavors were not there. So disappointed. My order looks like a $50.00 dollar order from a regular chinese restaurant.. that's how little you get for your money at this Thai place. Take your business elsewhere... I love this little restaurant! We ordered egg rolls and it was perfectly crispy and delicious, tastes fresh and so homemade. I usually dislike these big versions of the egg rolls I'm used to, but this was appetizing and I was tempted to order more. The lad nar was flavorful and the portion was perfect. (Their noodles are soft, not the crunchy version) The beef noodle soup was delicious and sweet and you get a big portion. They use pho noodles. This is my go-to place for thai food in the neighborhood, super solid every time. Everything I've had there has been delicious, but I recommend the curries. They will adjust the spice level depending on your preference, but say what you mean because they do not dilute it like other places might do. read more

I go here around once a week and they are the nicest people with the most delicious, reasonably priced food. I love the basil fried rice and the pad Thai. They also have bubble tea! My go to Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. The family who owns and operates it is very nice. The food is good and consistent. They often throw in a small extra dessert or sample app, which is a nice bonus. Very affordable for the quality and quantity of the food. This is a nice cozy family owned Thai restaurant. I have only had carry out here but the food is always amazing, flavorful, and decent priced. The portion size is on the medium size so there isn't really an opportunity to share main entrees. The staff and little helper (owner daughter) is always super nice. I loved both food and service. First time dining in there, but I would come back. Server was helpful, nice, and friendly. I went there with my family for dinner because the place we were first planning to go closed by the time we got near by so I found this restaurant near where we were. My dad is not used to Thai food, so he asked for recommendations and he got Tom Kha and Pad Ginger. He liked both of them but he said there were lots of galanga/ginger in the bowl which he couldn't eat...preferred to be not in there. I had Dena Beef Noodle Soup. I ordered for pick up on a Friday night. I used the app through Yelp, so that made it easy. I went and picked it up and the food was waiting for me when I got there so it was a very quick interaction. The restaurant is what you may expect from an Asian style cheaper food option. We ordered the crab ragoon, wonton soup, panang curry, and pad see ew. The whole bill was $32 which is very reasonable. This also fed 2 people for 2 meals. The crab ragoon was fried perfectly and had a lot of cream cheese filled. The wonton soup was okay, but there was only 1 shrimp in the whole container. The curry was very nice and not too spicy. The pad see ew had a good flavor but I think the noodles were a little overcooked because they were mushy. It was enjoyable and I will definitely order from them again. read more

Portions are so small. Ordered the chicken w basil and the red curry chicken. Curry sauce was runny, it sauce doesn't stick to the ingredients and chicken. You'll need to plan to get full eating all the white rice that comes along with the entrees. read more

After reading the Yelp reviews I thought it was safe to try Dena Kitchen. Finally a new Thai place comes to the hood. What a mistake I made ... it's almost like people are unfamiliar with what good Thai food should taste like! We placed an order for delivery. Pad Thai with tofu, cashew chicken and vegetable egg rolls. Pretty basic order. I opened the plastic container to find the noodles in a large coagulated block. The appearance of the food was very unappetizing to say the least. I thought I should at least give it a taste test ... what a mistake! There were no vegetables - usually there are carrots, maybe broccoli or scallions. Only remote vegetable I could identify was a few bean sprouts. There weren't even any chopped peanuts. It was a flavorless mess of noodles. In the trash it went. I was told that the Cashew Chicken was completely bland and had more vegetables than my Pad Thai. Imagine biting into a deflated egg roll ... well that's what we got. There was no crunch factor. They were soggy, over cooked probably just defrosted from the freezer. As a bonus for an oder over $20 we were given crab rangoon ... I didn't ever venture to go there! What a waste of money and waste of food! It's so sad that a chicken actually had to die for this dish! It's such a shame ... really wanted to have a new regular place for carry out. Try Jai-Yen if you want good Asian food at reasonable prices that actually have a realistic flavor profile. read more
