Really enjoyed our group meal at Green Leaf Thai! The server had fantastic recommendations for all parts of the menu! For appetizers, absolutely get the tigers cry. It's some of the most well marinated, tender pieces of beef! The Tom Yum soup with shrimp is enough to share with five people. For entrées, the peanut sauce was the surprise favorite. The crispy lard nar noodles were super crispy with a savory gravy. Wish the panang beef curry had more beef, but amazing curry sauce. Mango with sticky rice was well done staple. Will definitely be back!

When we went to Lincoln Park, Joseph suggested dining on Thai food. I agreed. I always loved dining on Thai food as tends to be my food of choice. I ordered the vegetarian Pad Kee Mao with not so much spice. Joseph ordered the chicken pad see ew with fried noodles. He said it tasted good. On my part, I liked eating it. The flavor tasted perfect. However, the server ended up being a bit curt with me when I asked if the vegetarian Pad Kee Mao did come with tofu. The server said abruptly (and a bit rudely), "No. No. it's either chicken, beef or tofu." She pointed at the menu. I said fine. The interaction made me think, she wanted to get out of there and did not want to be there anymore. While looking around the restaurant, I saw one other female customer sitting at Green Leaf Thai Cuisine. The ambience featured music by Alisha Keys, and Jay-Z and other contemporary music artists. The restaurant looks well kept.

They're cheap with the rice. - The image shows an open white takeout container filled with cooked white rice. The rice appears fluffy and evenly cooked. Condensation droplets are visible on the inside of the container, indicating it was recently sealed or stored in a humid environment.

This is the replacement of sorts for Opart Thai up here, though I think they just changed their name because the neighborhood rumor was that they had been having some ongoing issues. It is definitely *related* to Opart because their menu is the same and I asked when I was at the West Town location and was told it was their sister restaurant. Food is good, which is why it's kind of a bummer that I wasn't totally happy with my experience here. They arrived ten minutes later than the time they'd said they'd be here, which was already 70 minutes after I placed my order. The place is a mile away so it's not like they were driving across city; pretty disappointing. We ordered from here for Father's Day at the father's request, which was the second time ordering from this restaurant. They were earlier than their 60 minute suggested time so that was to the good. However, apparently when you add rice they replace instead of add--I added a large rice on the side because the dishes we were ordering are pretty hot and the rice helps to cut down on the heat. But imagine my surprise when JUST the rice I added was included, and not the two small rice that has in the past come with the order automatically, when I've not ordered additional rice. So instead of two small boxes of rice and the large one I ordered in addition, there was just one large rice for two entrees. Oh, and they didn't fill it to the top, as you'll see in the photo. If you're going to charge $2.50 for rice--and cut out the rice that comes as a standard accompaniment!--you need to fill the box to the top.

Private Area - Fourteen individuals are gathered around a dining table in a restaurant, with some seated and others standing behind. The table has various drinks, glasses, and napkins. The background features a green wall with a large "Green Leaf" sign and wooden paneling at the bottom. The group appears to be celebrating or socializing in a casual setting.

Off of several recommendations, I threw my friend a bachelor party here. We had a buffet set up with Pad Se Eew, Fried Enoki Mushrooms, Green Curry, Tiger Cry, Beef Jerky, Basil Pork, Isan Sausage Balls. And topped it off with Mango Sticky Rice. All 100% recommended. All of the guys literally had great things to say about the food and were even asking for the recipes. A big chunk of us are Thai so we've definitely had a lot to compare to. Can't say enough about the service, and about the owner/Manager Deer. He was very attentive to us and made sure we had everything that we needed. He also took the time on a busy Friday night to hang out with us for a bit. I live out in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago but this place is well worth the drive and I'll definitely be coming back.

I love Thai food! Green leaf is one of my local go tos for takeout and we decided to try dine in and we were really pleased with the experience. Very solid entree dishes especially pad see ew (with crispy noodles). And peanut lovers dish! Their tiger cry and Tom yum soup make great appetizers. Would recommend you get a reservation , as we walked in and they were able to accommodate. Very busy on Friday nights. Cool atmosphere for hanging out with people or just grabbing a quick dinner. #thai #asian

The photo depicts the interior of Green Leaf Thai Cuisine, with wooden dining tables and chairs arranged along a brick wall. A yellow neon sign reading 'Green Leaf' is mounted on the wall. The ceiling is painted dark with recessed lighting, and a bar area with a staff member is visible in the background. The floor combines wood and stone tiles, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.

We came here just randomly strolling Lincoln park. It's a pretty nice spot as per the interior. Lots of wood and Thai art. They linked up three lots to make a big space. I got pad see iew with chicken and I opted for crispy fried noodles. She had veggie pad kee Mao. Everything thing was pretty tasty. I've been honestly craving crispy noodles so it was a good that's offered for half of their noodle dishes. Service was ok-ish, like an air of impatience. Not really cordial but getting the job done. I think it was late on a Sunday before a holiday and was pretty empty and looked like staff just wanted to get out. But I liked it and the food was really tasty. I'd try again on a regular night.

Located in downtown Lincolnwood. Parking can be tricky as many neighborhoods are permit only. This restaurant is right off the Western stop on the brown line. The interior decor was traditional Thai and the restaurant was not well lit. Service was attentive and quick. Food was subpar and came in small portion. We tried their seafood soup which was mostly water and imitation crab. The squash curry, one of their signature dishes, was creamy. However, the squash was kinda hard. We also ordered their whole chicken, also their signature dish, it tasted like rotisserie chicken at any grocery store... I really wanted to like the restaurant as they seemed to want to promote authentic Thai cuisine... Needs to pay attention to the quality and freshness of their food .

We got to go, and the food was fine. Crab Rangoon has a strong celery flavor, and the pad tide does not have enough brightness of flavor for us. We had our own limes thankfully. It was ready when we got there though.

A friend recommended this place and I'm so glad that she did. I'll definitely be coming back again. Especially since I'd gotten so hooked on their yellow curry dish! - - Amongst other ones as well. Lastly, the customer service was great and the server was extremely polite. Can't believe I never knew about this place living so close to it.

Disgusting, don't waste your time. The food tastes grosss. The beef is practically white and doesn't taste like beef either. DIGUSTING!!!!!!!

Delicious Thai food. I love spice and medium was on the far end of what I would do. Probably go for the mild then add spice on my own.

We definitely felt full by the end of the meal, which was surprising because it is usually hard to feel full off sushi. I have been to the NYC location before, and I will say I enjoyed my meal at the Chicago location significantly more. In terms of drinks, the cocktails were well made. However, the shots were pretty watered down, which was disappointing. It's definitely an aesthetic spot. However, the biggest downside is the service. We were a relatively large party but were on time for our reservation, and we still had to wait over a half hour before we were even seated. Service throughout the night took an extremely long time, and we were starving before we even saw any signs of food.

They had valet parking in front for $20, so that was super easy. The big front wooden doors are still there, but that is one of the few things that stayed the same. Upon walking in their lounge area was very nice, and chill. We grabbed a couple of drinks while waiting for our table to open up. We were seated pretty quickly, and began our culinary journey. The ambiance is very nice, and I am a big fan of the over-the-top decorations like the large statue of Quan Yin with the projections over it as well as the beautiful lamps and extra large tassels and curtains. For food we tried all of the appetizers available since there were three of us. They were all delicious, but my favorites went in this order: 1. Tuna tartar with crispy rice 2. Lettuce wraps 3. Chicken satay For our entree all three of us went for the sirloin steak, medium rare, and all three were perfectly cooked and seasoned! The meat literally melts in your mouth, and the sauce that they give for dipping accents the meat perfectly. Dessert we did the same as the appetizers; Try all 3! Favorites in order: 1. Match Creme Brulé - Lightly sweet, not punch-you-in-the-face matcha, but a perfect mix. 2. Banana pudding - Seems straight forward, but they put a caramelized banana on top with fortune cookie crumbles. 3. Chocolate Buddha - The dark chocolate mousse is super rich The DJ kept great music going during our whole meal, but at a perfect volume, so that we could also enjoy conversation at the table. We didn't get to check out the club area.... Only think I'd say Tao is maybe you should bring back the Friday night seances! lol

Man running front of house directed me to their printed menu and suggested I pick what I want and then ask about modifications. After sifting through their large menu, I landed on a few items I thought I'd ask about. Thankfully, he was very knowledgeable about each item and what would need to be changed about it to make it vegan. I ordered the Crispy Pad Thai with Veggies, Pad Cashew with Tofu, and the Vegetable Dumplings (which he said are made in house). All were really delicious and good size portions. The in-restaurant dining room wasn't very busy but there was a steady stream of delivery drivers picking up orders, during my 15-20 minutes there. It's a modest, fairly casual restaurant with not a lot of "bells and whistles". The menus are very informal printed copies of what's listed online.
