Thai Bubble Tea and Taro Bubble Tea
    Juliana C.

Omg, we stumbled upon this restaurant and it is soo good and prices are good too!! There is one woman who practically runs the restaurant. She was the only waitress but regardless of how many tables being served, the service was still good! My friend and I ordered the Thai tea boba and the taro boba tea, they tasted like they had all natural ingredients and they were icy which was a different take! The taro was a little bit more milky than nutty but still very tasty. We shared a Crab Rangoon appetizer and the texture was so crispy on the outside, which was different but delicious. I ordered the Thai fried rice with tofu and veggies and the flavor was so good and there was enough food to take home for leftovers! The place was quiet inside and didn't start filling up until around 8:15, when we first arrived (7:30ish) there were only a couple other people in here.

Went here for a quick dinner. Very nice and quiet small spot. Had the boat noodle soup. Nothing like a hot bowl of noodle soup during the winter to warm you up.

The Tom Kai is quite good. Next is the prick khing catfish. Open until midnight also!

This is as good as thai takeout gets, and you will not find better prices. Pad Thai for under $10.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! AMAZING! It's savory, it's sweet, there's umami, there's acid (lime), crunchy peanuts and fresh veggies. Yes. Yes. Yes. (I just need to remind myself to ask for chili sauce because the pad Thai is minimal on the spice). I've dined in as well and the staff is kind and attentive. This will be my go-to place for delivery.

Khao Soy (chicken), Basil Duck, 5 Piece Crispy Wings
    Tracy L.

I have the habit of trying different Thai restaurants, even though I already have a few I frequently order from. The prices were very reasonable and had good reviews, so we ordered delivery. It came quick, and the flavors were good. The Khao Soy was tasty, not too watery or too thick, perfect consistency- the wonton chips were super crispy and abundant. I wanted to try the Basil Duck after seeing so many images of it- yum! More green beans than duck though... and some of the shredded pieces were very fatty. The Chicken Wings were crispy but a bit fatty and flavorless- bummer. Overall, I'd order again and try other items!

This place is amazing! Came here on a whim while visiting Chicago and I'm happy that we came upon this gem. I'm so mad at myself for not taking more photos of the food because it was all so good! The pad Thai that I ordered was a bit too sweet for me. If you like sweet pad Thai, this will be your jam. I like more of the peanut/savory profile of pad Thai,, so this was not my favorite. What was my favorite, was the Thai chicken curry; it was the one with the coconut milk base. Idk if that's helpful but this was some of the absolute best curry I've ever had. It was so freakin good!! A must try! Again, so mad I didn't take photos. The service was friendly and they seemed to follow COVID protocols. I'll definitely return when I'm in the area!!

I asked for xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx spicy but it was mild.

I ordered shrimp rolls and chicken pad Thai xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxtra spicy. I thought they got my order wrong being I couldn't taste the spicy. My friend who can't eat spicy food couldn't taste the spice.... The shrimp rolls were raw inside. I attached pictures. Disappointed. Won't return.

    Ginger chicken lunch special
    Kendra M.

Amazing lunch special!! $8.50 for choice of starter (pork egg roll, veggie egg roll, potsticker, or cucumber salad) and entree (6 different options and choice of meat). I really liked the ginger chicken, and the basil chicken is also yummy. Drunken noodles are not on the lunch special but they look so good, I'm going to have to get them one day. They have a small beer, wine, and sake list. Beer comes in a cold frosted glass. The staff is so so sweet as well. This is going to become a regular spot for me!

    Cucumber salad

C'est Bien was more like c'est assez-bien in my book. "Rather good" rather than good, Dan Rather. The highlight was the veggie potstickers appetizer. If I could order an entree of those, I would. It's like a potsticker inside of a sliced up eggroll, deep fried. Cucumber salad: all right in a light vinaigrette. Panang curry was disappointing. The sauce was thin and bland, and if you would've given me the dish without me knowing what I ordered, I would've guessed that it was the plain red curry. Drunken noodles were better: very mildly sweet and somewhat spicy. They had a good flavor and texture. Service was minimal and disappointing. Not bad, but impersonal. Would I return? I don't know.

Luckily with the reservation we were seated right away. For the weekend visit it was so hectic and service wasn't the best. We didn't get our order taken until about 20 minutes after being seated. We were sitting and waiting for a while. Trying to flag down a server was impossible because of how busy it was. On the weekday service was much more attentive. Visiting on a weekday would be much more worth it since you can just walk in. Both times we ordered the Tum Thai (papaya salad), but the only difference is on the weekend we were NOT allow to adjust the spicy level on the salad. The server informed us that it was already premade so spiciness was no adjustment. I loved it but the spicy level was a bit too much for me. Everything came out relatively quick. All the dishes were very well seasoned and saucy. My favorite was the kor moo yang, tum Thai, and mango sticky rice! I would come back just for the sticky rice because it is so addicting!!!

The place is relatively small, with the largest table seating about 7, so expect to be separated if coming with more people and potentially bumping chairs with your neighborinos Theres accessible metered parking directly outside especially on a weekday, but besides that.. the ambiance itself was bright and vibrant with a warm color scheme, great for a cold winter evening As a place thats known for its pad thai, Tuk Tuk really hit the nail on the head! The noodles were soft and moist coated with that iconic sauce (a bit too heavily tho IMO) that really captured the sweet, sour, and savory essence of a pad thai. Although it was on the sweeter side, Im glad i got to mix the ingredients myself, which included some salt and a generous amount of beef (only for an additional $2) to balance things out, resulting in a top contender across other thai restaurants in the city

There are window views from the restaurant, making for good people watching. Mainly metered parking available Medium to large sized place with dedicated sections for thai food (about 8 tables and 2 rows of bar style seats) vs for sushi and ramen but all under the same place/owner, can order from any menu - the decor on that side is super cute, fish cutouts, anime/manga decorated walls, decked out bars Got the scuba diving chicken from the chefs faves and must say it was pretty good - a bit on the greasier side but the aroma of the herbs and the spices from the curry really pull through, chicken is cooked very well, super tender and juicy. I got the "No turning back" spice level and theres a hefty kick - halfway into the dish my mouth def feels it but nothing too extreme (FYI theres a slight mala-like numbingness to it) The traditional papaya salad was crunchy and refreshing, sauce is tangy but not too overwhelming. The peanuts add a nice nutty element to it. There were hardly any dried shrimp, so wouldve like to see a bit more of that. Be sure to give it a good mix as the sauce and topping fall to bottom of the bowl To top it off, the service was great. Albert was really attentive and helpful - would come back if im in the gold coast area again to try the other menu offerings

Seating was a little tight like at Phodega, but not terrible. To view menu, you scan a QR code at the table. My husband & I ordered the following: - Grilled Squid This was really good! I thought it was going to come out like little calamari rings, but it was actually a decently sized whole squid, sliced with the tentacles on the side. It was cooked perfectly as it was not chewy or rubbery. The flavor was great, especially with the paired Thai-spicy seafood sauce. - Crab Meat Fried Rice Loved that this was with real crab! & not the imitation crab. There were bits of crab meat throughout the rice and then topped with a big lump of crab meat. It came served with a lime & yummy fish sauce with fresh Thai chili's. - Bamee Noodles with BBQ Pork without broth This bowl of egg noodles had a slightly sweet flavor to it, served with a fox amount of BBQ Pork which was also nice & tender! Slurped it all up! - Jina's Fried Chicken This was good, but not anything like out of this world. It was fried chicken leg quarter, served with black sticky rice. - Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango LOVED this! It was a great way to end our meal! I loved that it came with extra sweet sauce! - Taro Tapioca in Coconut Milk Cream This was great too! It was actually a warm dessert. The menu described it as "Tapioca pearls" so I was expecting the tiny little clear boba balls, but it was cubes of like glutinous rice. Which was not bad! I liked it a lot; it reminded me of Ginataang Bilo Bilo (#iykyk if you're Filipino)! Overall, a delicious experience! We would eat here again!

FYI, this location is cash only but does have an ATM inside…read more I heard good things about this location - and as a big fan of boat noodles, I was excited to have some. We came here at around 8pm on Friday evening, about 1.5 hours before closing - though they were already starting to wrap up. It's possible that the food quality may have been affected by this fact - I just wanted to mention this caveat. I ordered the boat noodles and found myself very disappointed. The noodles were overcooked, forming an almost gelatinous texture that became way too mushy to really enjoy. They added a lot of these noodles as well - which normally would be great but when it's a giant blob mush... wasn't a super fun eating experience. As a result of these overcooked noodles, I didn't feel like there was a whole lot of broth - and the broth itself felt more oily than anything else. Boat noodle broth usually has a super rich texture - and that was a texture I found lacking here. On the positive, the portion itself is very generous: I found there was plenty of noodles and meat in the broth. Had the noodles been cooked correctly, I think it would've been excellent. It's very possible that the restaurant at 6pm on a Friday could've done a much better job and not overcooked the noodles. I understand that 8pm on Friday is on the later side, but it's not egregiously late for a Friday evening IMO. But As it is, I have to rate based on the food I received and I would not recommend.
