Plenty of parking, easy to find. We had a party of 3, including a 4-year-old, on a Saturday at 12:15. There wasn't a wait, but being a small place, it was still crowded. The 4-year-old got applesauce, 2 pancakes, and apple juice. It was more than enough for her. My friend got Flounder Egg Platter with grits and biscuits ($10.99). The portion was huge. The fish was fried so nicely. It had a really nice crunch to it. I got the Veggie Omelet ($8.49) with grits and biscuits. The waitress clarified that I didn't want meat in the omelet, but there were a few tiny pieces of pork in it, which was disappointing. I didn't say anything or send it back because there were only a few pieces, so I just picked them out. I'm personally not a huge fan of grits, but they were good. I added cheese to both the omelet and the grits. Both meals came with 2 buttered biscuits each (even though on the menu it just says biscuit, singular), which was a lot of food. We also got 2 pancakes ($3.79) to split. They needed syrup, but they were delicious. We weren't able to finish the pancakes because it was just so much food. The food was good. And I read the reviews and they were outstanding. So I figured let's give it a try. I'm soooooo glad I did. I got the Chicken Breast omelette, grits, biscuit and gravy. It was so fresh and tasted so good. I noticed all of the customers know each other. While they sat at different tables, they knew each other's names. "Breakfast alllll DAY!!" Ok, the sign at Demitris doesn't word it like that, but that's what I hear when I read the sign. Demitris is a small mom and pop restaurant that has been serving this side of town for years. I know because i've driven by this place and ignored it for quite a while. I've been dumb! We paid them a visit since we were already in the area for gas and thought i'd see what they were all about. It was a full house on a wednesday morning, with very little parking available, but we managed. Here's what we ordered to go: Vegetable omelet platter ($7.49) Two egg platter with bacon ($5.99) substituted raisin toast ($0.75) substituted hash browns ($1) Regular coffee ($1.79) x 2 The veggie omelet platter was heavy! i'm talking about a couple of pounds of heavy! Inside the veggie was spinach, tomatoes, peppers, onions mushroom and your choice of swiss, american, cheddar or feta. I chose Cheddar. The omelet flavor was pretty good! Presentation was about as good as a take home plate can be, but it's all about the flavor here. The omelet came with a biscuit or toast (got a biscuit) and grits or hash browns (I got grits). The grits were nothing special, and while the biscuit was buttered, it also wasn't anything special. I didn't try any of the other food, but I was told it was good. The coffee was respectable. While the parking lot is decently sized, again, it was slammed this morning, having maybe 2 out of 20 spots or so remaining. Interior wise, there were actually a lot of free tables. Customer service was just fine and prices are fair. Located off of Covington highway at Richard road, getting in or out of Demitris is not hard at all, and while these guys do serve breakfast all day, you can get lunch too. 3.5 stars for their food and service, but no rounding up. If breakfast is on your mind and you're on this side of town, you may want to stop on in! read more

Where do I start this is a real review! I was soo excited to find what I thought a maw and paw type place. Upon arriving we were told to sit ourselves and then we then was told where to sit and the woman handling the register who was probably a family member was super RUDE and made us very uncomfortable because she kept saying things underneath her breath. We usually get the fried catfish with cheese eggs and cheese grits and it SLAPS every time! The fresh biscuits are also delicious.
