If you can find this restaurant, you will be lucky. . On the pool at a hotel, no signs difficult to find. The food: unique, well executed, and extraordinary. Finally, something different and interesting. I'm not going to examine the menu here, but suffice it to say, that if you have a curious pallet, you will be elated.

DEME is an absolute gem in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles! From the moment I walked in, I was enjoyed the fancy and bright interior with fresh air. The ambiance is chic yet welcoming, with a modern aesthetic that makes you feel like you're dining in style. The lighting is perfect--bright enough to appreciate the beautiful decor but still cozy enough for a relaxing meal. One thing that really stood out to me was the music. It was at a *perfect* volume--manageable and enjoyable, unlike the prior restaurant (Sparrow) where the music is so loud you can barely talk to your guest. At DEME, the playlist added to the vibe without overpowering the experience. Now, let's talk about the food. The Mediterranean dishes here are nothing short of innovative and excellent. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and the presentation was artful. The menu offers a fresh take on classic Mediterranean cuisine, with creative twists that keep you excited for the next dish. I highly recommend trying their Hummus & Baba Ganoush were excellent. TIP: try the MUHAMMARA dip (walnut & Red Pepper dip - mild spice). The Baby Gem and Tabbouleh salad complimented each other. The broccolini was a savory side dish and the grilled Wagyu and Chicken were standout dishes that left me craving more. As for dessert, the Baklava is small but sweet. Definitely order the sesame caramel soft serve to compliment it. Their drinks are as creative and well-crafted as their food, and I had the pleasure of trying three of their signature cocktails: BIA (Espresso Martini): perfectly balanced--rich, smooth, and not overly sweet. ATHENA (Old Fashioned): Deme's take on the classic Old Fashioned was nothing short of divine. CIRCE (Clarified Milk Punch): As intriguing as it sounds. The clarity of the drink is mesmerizing, and the flavor profile is complex yet approachable. The bar team at DEME clearly knows what they're doing. The service was also top-notch. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and drinks they were serving. Tip: Try to get Macey as your server. Her suggestions are spot on as she has tried everything. Overall, DEME is a must-visit if you're in Downtown LA. Still new, and hasn't peaked with their guest yet. Get in before it does. Whether you're looking for a special night out or just want to enjoy some incredible Mediterranean cuisine and drinks, this place delivers on all fronts. I'll definitely be back!

This gorgeous restaurant just opened in the Hotel Figueroa in DTLA. They have a deal where you can try all of their dips for $30, which was a good amount of food, and they bring out fresh pita constantly. My favorite dips were the whipped ricotta with harissa honey, grated tomato, and hummus. We also tried the summer fattoush with peaches and feta, which was good as well. I don't think I would go back, but the dips deal was fun and the restaurant is beautiful.

We were craving for something different other than tacos and Italian food, and saw this on Yelp while on the road to downtown. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor and open patio that faces the pool. We kicked off our meal with 3 dips - Hummus, Baba Gaboush, and whipped Ricotta served with in house made super soft pitas. Then we had Turkish Manti, which were delightful little dumplings filled with tender meat and topped with a rich yogurt sauce. Each bite was a perfect balance of flavors, and they were beautifully presented. Next, we tried the Honey Squash Tabouleh. This dish was a refreshing twist on the classic tabouleh, featuring roasted squash that added a subtle sweetness. The combination of fresh herbs and grains made it a light yet satisfying starter. For our main dish, we ordered the * Boneless Chicken Wings (kebob) paired with a unique dip made from chermoula, yogurt ranch, cilantro, and cumin. The wings were perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The dip was a standout, offering a zesty kick that complemented the wings beautifully. We also indulged in the Lahmacun with Spiced Wagyu. This flatbread was mixed with spiced wagyu beef, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The flavors were bold and well-balanced, making each bite a savory delight. Overall, our experience at this new Greek restaurant was fantastic. The combination of traditional and innovative dishes, along with a welcoming atmosphere, makes it a great choice for both casual dinners and special occasions. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

Deme is one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants in LA. The food and service are impeccable and makes a wonderful experience every time.

What a gem of a place! It's located inside the boutique hotel where gps will take you. It's also accessible from the back of that hotel and across from Courtyard. When you walk into the restaurant, you will be transported into a different country. It's a beautifully decorated indoor/outdoor space that makes you feel like you're not in the middle of LA. My group came in hungry and we didn't hold back. They have a great selection of wines and cocktails as well as a zero proof menu with 4 choices. We ordered the sampler platter of all of their dips and they were all exquisite. We also got a harvest salad, and beef and chicken kabobs which were all delicious. We also had the shawarma large plates - duck and mushroom. The mushroom was absolutely phenomenal and a great choice for vegetarians. The duck was also amazing. If you're coming for a date, I would recommend ordering a dip or salad to share then share one of the large plates. They come with all the fixings. When it comes to flavors, the dishes will satisfy your palate for adventure (or just a vacation you can't take just yet).

Cute little date night spot tucked in Hotel Figueroa. Super pricey as expected, but the food & Calypso milk punch cocktail were decent & worth a try. Friendly staff, but food came out way too slow--especially for all the small plates we got. Turkish Manti is a must-order. They were like juicy little lamb xiao long baos. Definitely skip on the Lahmancun Flatbread. The dips went up to $28 for 3 and $40 for all 6 when I visited on 11/2. $15 parking next to the hotel at Athena lot.

It's a beautiful space, tucked at the back of Hotel Fig, overlooking the pool. The food was absolutely delicious... from the warm pita and ethereally smooth dips to the wide variety of interesting takes on mezze dishes (we loved the little dumplings!).... it was all amazing. Do not skip dessert! Order both the small baklava bites and the astoundingly delicious vanilla soft serve with sesame caramel! Oh and the drink menu was very inventive as well, both of our cocktails were well balanced and unique. Our servers were attentive and very kind. Highly recommend Deme! And there are a variety of parking lots around the block $15-25... cheaper than hotel valet.

Poolside at Hotel Fig, you'll find Deme and its open air patio dining. The flavors of this Mediterranean spot are so rich and full and the energy is vibrant. The duck shawarma was amazing and a great large format dish to get

I haven't had a meal like this in a LONG time! All the flavors were authentic and everything was perfectly cooked. I had my doubts being it's in a hotel, but I was thoroughly impressed. The chicken skewers and duck shawarma were phenomenal but the blue prawn stole the show; I wish they gave more than 2 but it is just an appetizer. The pita bread is so fresh and tasty; it stays warm through the whole meal in the basket. The service is a little slow when it gets busy but our waitress was amazing and so sweet; she was extremely knowledgable as well. The ambiance is a nice escape from the "LA" scene and brings peace. It is "outdoor" given it faces the pool; but there are heaters everywhere. I will 100% be back because I need to try their ice cream (in addition to any new items).

This spot has taken over Sparrow ..and it did jut disappoint! The ambience is still kept up-the plush seating, warm heat lamps and view of the patio is terrific. Service from host to bus boy were all amazingly friendly. Our waiter was very helpful and suggested foods from the menu! Our favorite dishes were the duck, duck patte, chicken skewers all of which had their own spin/taste! Drinks were amazing and since service was so well we had quite a bit! I will be back!!

When we arrived the host was friendly and walked us over to our table with a smile. Then our server came over and let me tell she was the most happy and friendliest server that we have ever experienced in our dining experience. Marlene approached us with "happy Friday" and spark up a quick conversation of why we were visiting. She made us feel welcomed immediately and excited about being there. We had a few questions about the menu and she was able to guide us through the menu with ease. She recommended things we hadn't tried before and for every dish that came out she would tell us the best way the chef would like us to enjoy them. I mean the service was impeccable. She was super sweet with my mother who is a bit older and sometimes is indecisive with food and drinks. But she was so patient with her and sweet to help her choose a wine and items on the menu that she end up loving. My mother couldn't stop talking about her on the way home. Every dish that came to our table was amazing and the drinks were super tasty. Hummus, crudo, prawns and dorado are a must. At the end we trusted her to choose dessert for us. The cashew bar and donuts nuts were the best way to end our dining experience. Overall, if you are looking for great food and amazing service this is the place to come.
