Sometimes the older guy at the front is helpful and other times rude. Just like with a lot of nail places the nail techs are hit and miss as well. I've been in for a mani - pedi and gotten out in about an hour with good work done, other times it takes almost two hours and the work on my nails has sucked. The color selection seems limited to me also. If I return to this place, it will only be out of convenience to the location. I have been a loyal customer at Wayne Nails for a long time. I usually go to Katie because she is amazing with nail designs, but yesterday she was busy. The owner assured me that another technician could handle the nail art picture I showed him. I also asked to soak off my old Gel-X set since it was lifting, which they agreed to. After sitting there for about an hour getting a new set put on, the technician started on the ombre design. It looked nothing like the picture. I pointed it out, and she dismissed me, claiming it looked "ombre enough for her." She tried three separate times, and it still looked completely wrong. I even asked another customer sitting next to me for an honest opinion, and she confirmed it looked nothing like the photo. I wasn't asking for a 100% exact match just something decently close but what I got was horrible. (I wish I would've took a picture of what it looked like before because it was nothing but just a line) It got worse when the owner stepped in. Because the technician was taking so long and struggling with my set, she fell behind schedule for her next appointment. Instead of taking accountability or offering a solution, the owner made me feel like I was the problem. He actually told me that I was taking up too much time, making her lose money, and that it was bad for their business. When I reminded him that I am a paying, loyal customer and that my satisfaction should matter, he kept arguing with me. And even stated that well, you can go somewhere else and even stated that I shouldn't even ask the young lady next to me because it's none of her business with me and the technician have going on like what who do you think you are?I finally told them to just paint them plain pink so I could pay and leave. To top it off, the technician doing my nails had the audacity to say, "We have other people who will come in anyway, so it doesn't matter if you come back or not because we'll still make money." That statement said everything. This establishment does not value its customers or care about quality service they only view people as dollar signs. Where you SHOULD go instead: Today, I went to Collins Nails in Arlington, and the difference was night and day! I showed them the exact same picture and told them what happened. The owner and technician at Collins Nails immediately explained that Gel-X shouldn't have been used for that specific ombre look in the first place proving Waynn Nails lacked both the skill and honesty to tell me that upfront. The team at Collins Nails took their time (an hour and a half), treated me like a human being, and made sure I walked out completely happy with my nails. They truly care about their customers and respect the hard-earned money being spent. Save your money and peace of mind do not go to Waynn Nails in Glen Heights. Take your business to Collins Nails in Arlington where customers are actually valued!
