Got my nails done yesterday. Lady walked in and tech left to go talk to her about her rent being late. They talked for a good 5-10 minutes. She was in a different mood and did a bad job and kept burning my nail with the file. (She always does good) Noticed 2 were not completed. Went today to get it redone and tech made me bleed and literally said "ok" and left to the back so she wouldn't have to deal with me saying anything about her cutting me. I was also charged for a "shape" and I did not request a special shape. I paid cash so got a "15%" discount but they always round up as well. Original $45 for short dip nails with "15%" off and charged me $39. I don't mind the .75 but they did it every single time. I always tip as well and this is not great customer service. This salon is never really busy and it really shows why. The manager/owner does not care about customer care. read more

I walked in around 5pm on Saturday with family to get manicures and to my surprise we were all seated right away. I was offered a drink and then the gentleman who sits next to the sink, (who's name I unfortunately forget), starting working right away. I got my nails dipped in Fruit Punch. I've been getting my nails done here for the last few months and I think they do a great job! First of all- they offer a discounted price on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so having a reservation will help you not have to wait around on those days. They do the dipping nail unlike anyplace I've been to. They lay down a base coat so that you don't have to soak off every time (unless you go from a darker color to lighter color). Instead of soaking off, they will still away the previous color. And while this is not my favorite technique, it gets the process moving faster. The pedicures are great because they include a hot stone massage and parrafin wax. The dipping lasts a long time and I am grateful for that! read more

I've changed my mind after my visit on Tuesday. First of all the man was sick who did my nails. With the flu going around, this was not ok. They must of told him he could go home after he got done with me because he was going as fast as he could! He burned the skin off several of my fingers (the cuticles) with the sander. It hurt and even though I told him, he continued to do it. They may be small cuts, but it really hurts!! My daughter told the lady several times she wanted short nails and they did not listen! They put fake stuff on her nails too make them longer and charged me for it! Every time I go here they charge a different price! After this last experience we are done going here. I'm tired of the half ass I'm in a hurry job! I'm also tired of the pain! Getting your nails done should not hurt. This place has gone down hill since we started coming 7 months ago. Went here for a last minute pedicure when my boyfriend and I were in town for a wedding. Who knew it was going to be one of the best pedicure massages I have ever had!! (A little disappointed in the polish application because it was a little messy on two of my toes on the left foot. Didn't notice until I left) We both got the basic pedicure and the massage and scrub were great. We were seated as soon as we walked in (did not have an appointment) and we were not rushed out. They spent time on the pedicure and definitely earned their tip. Additionally, they had a good selection of OPI polish (my personal favorite brand) and did not continue to pressure me to get other services. read more

The WORST nail experience I've ever had. Wait time was not bad. When I was helped the lady began to file my previous dip nails off. They filed my nails for over 30 minutes, and it H-U-R-T. I usually am not one to complain, but I had to pull away at least 6 times from the file hurting my nails. This is when I asked them just to soak them and they told me they do NOT soak your nails at this place, they claim to only file down to previous base coat to "protect" your nail. FALSE. Nails are UNEVEN and they left my skin DRY. Was there for literally an hour and a half just to get dip nails.. no pedi, no waxing, just nails. 90 minutes. Was not one specific person, I went through 4 people. I do not recommend this salon AT ALL, find anywhere else in Waxahachie. read more

The prices are very reasonable and the service was great. The massage was longer and more thorough than other places we have tried and we loved the hot stones. This place use to be very good. Hence the past good ratings... In the past year it has gone down hill quick. My daughter and I hadn't been for a while and decided to give it another try. My nails are lumpy and not done clear up to the cuticle so it looks like they have already grown out. My daughter got charged almost double because she asked for coffin tip. Stumbled upon this salon recently. Having moved here from east Texas, I needed to find a place that is as good as my last salon. I must say that Pearl Nails is a great salon. The cappuccino pedicure deluxe is amazing, they have some of the best massage chairs too; puts you to sleep. The prices are on par for this area but it can get a little pricey if you want fancy designs and jewels added. I highly recommend Pearl Nails. read more

Pearl Nails is my go-to nail salon. I've tried a few other places in Waxahachie and they were horrible. I stumbled upon Pearl Nails by chance while I was at Subway next door. I decided to give them a try and I haven't been anywhere else since. The salon is clean, well kept, and most importantly it's affordable. Lucy is the best that Pearl Nails has to offer! I've been going to her since 2011 I don't recommend anyone else. Lucy really takes her time and puts a great amount of detail into perfecting my pedicures and manicures. And, she also does amazing nail art! I've gotten my nails done with the other nail techs on Lucy's off days, and while it wasn't horrible, it just wasn't the same. Most of the customers are regulars who have been coming in for years. The staff knows everyone by name and truly value their clients. But because there are so many regulars, don't be surprised if there's a wait. I usually try to come during the least busiest hours on Saturdays, like late morning or early afternoons when there's no wait. But just beware and steer clear of Prom season. It gets crazy in there! As far as price goes, the most I've ever paid for a french-tip mani/pedi with nail art is $45, which is about average for DFW. To me, they are very affordable and upfront about costs. It's the additional services (paraffin wax, french tip, nail art/designs, gel, etc.) that can add up if you're not clear about your needs. read more

Went here today to have a fill/ color change done and I am not happy!! They advertise a 15% off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I figured it would be a good opportunity to try somewhere different. I went in as a walk-in because their advertising outside specifically says walk-ins welcome and my time during the week is limited; however I was not very welcome it seemed. I needed to have a set of nails shortened, and the color changed. I waited for close to 30 minutes before they started shuffling me between techs; and the woman who did my nails was more interested in selling me a brand of acrylic than using said brand on my nails. It took close to 2 hours to do a basic pink/white set, and I ended up burned and cut with the nail drill on several fingers on both hands. Kevin and Gary are the absolute best nail specialists I have ever met. They are brothers and both take their careers seriously. Pearl One is friendly and pricing is fair. The level of skill is higher than other salons. When you can walk in the salon, at least 3 or 4 people greet you, many know your name or favorite nail color...you are in a great salon! Every time I have gone to the salon, I have veen so pleased. I took my mother-in-law fir a girl's day out and she walked away feeling beautiful and special. I got a serious and nasty nail infection that I've been fighting for a few weeks. I had bubbles all around my cuticles and my nails itch like crazy. I'm not sure what kind of infection this is, but it is gross. it oozes a tinted liquid out of it. please do yourself a favor and do not go here. I recommend happy nails in midlothian!! read more
