I remembered the name and place from an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives and jumped at the chance to try some food because Guy Fieri knows his ISH! SO its in a strip mall, weird i know. Its kind of hidden, not a huge sign to say Delucas but nevertheless we got there. Its a diner true and true. Red bar stools, black and white checkered floors, all the retro diner decor. I loved it! So my husband got the MOAB or "Mother of all burritos"...PACKED to the brim with onions, eggs, sausage, bacon chorizo breakfast potatoes, you name it. It was the size of his head im not even exaggerating. It was so flavorful. for $9?! SCORE!!!! I got a chicken fingers basket because i was craving fries. I was kind of upset because they serve shoestring fries and i didnt get what i wanted out of it. The chicken fingers were hand breaded and you can definetly tell the difference. They arent frozen and are steaming hot and fresh!! I give this place 3 stars because the service was HORRIBLE. Our waitress was like 80, you could tell she didnt want to be bothered let alone do her job. She moped around, got us our drinks took our order and never came back. I was excited to try it out since it's a popular local place. I tried the chicken and waffles and was sadly disappointed. The chicken was burned and was more like a large chicken nugget with slightly better breading than fried chicken. It came with eggs but the egg whites weren't fully cooked. I ordered the eggs medium but they came sunny side over. The waffle was dry but otherwise fine. Since it's a breakfast place I expected the eggs and waffle at least to be above average. Wouldn't go there again, but if you are going would definitely recommend ordering something different than the chicken and waffles. read more

I love Deluca's! Honestly, I prefer the authenticity of the strip location, but this one is just as quick and friendly. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because my egg white omelette was a little runny for my taste. However, the chocolate chip banana pancakes, well... those were just incredible. And the coffee is always good too! I have to say, the prices aren't bad for all of the food that you get either. We had quite a bit of stuff and our bill was around $40. I'm not saying it's as cheap as somewhere like Denny's, but the quality isn't comparable either. I loved this place so much. I really did. The last two times we went the kitchen threw home fries in the dish when I asked for them on the side. The tortilla my burritos were wrapped in were stale, and the wrong meat was in it. They had people piled into the front end. They have no texting system and will not call you to tell you your table is ready if you want to kill the hour wait on most Sundays at the shops around it. They also won't turn anyone away, even when people are spilling out onto the sidewalk. They also rarely go outside to see if the people next in line are waiting out there. With the decline in the quality of food I cannot write off as a one off as it has happened several times now I can not understand how it's still that popular. read more

Stopped by for an early lunch and DeLuca's delivered a good meal for a decent price. All of our plates were overflowing with food and everything was good. We had burgers, the cheesesteak sandwich and eggs with bacon, home fries and toast. The food had that traditional diner feel which left us feeling full for quite a while after we left. MOAB izzz indigestion. MOAB izzz heartburn. MOAB izzz doooooommmm!!!" The creature of chorizo, eggs, hot peppers, tomatoes, onions, avocado, cheddar, and homefries uttered, sounding like a trash compactor. A chile sauce of DeLuca's own making that was both saccharine and piquant bled a Satanic crimson all over MOAB's doughy, pale body as the Adversary cackled into the killing frost. Steam shooting from his nostrils, The Adversary telekinetically hurled planets at me with waves of his ghastly, skeletal hands. While I dodged the large constructs that had been thrown my way, Kay would use judo to toss both hooded henchmen into the Slim Onyx Count, ruining his concentration. An uppercut and a right cross would dispatch The Adversary's flunkies while a spinning backfist would put the magical mastermind onto his back. "This had not ended!!!" the Adversary screamed in a rage with a nose bleeding tar. "I've got an insurance policy of my own," I told my fiendish foe. "No! NOOO!!!"" From out of my back pocket I pulled a small seltzer bottle full of Sprite that had been blessed by a priest and sprayed its full contents directly onto The Adversary's accursed face. I just can't say enough about the seafood omelet! They use real shrimp and crab...and there is a lot of it! Covered in a hollandaise sauce...I don't know how they can afford to use so much expensive ingredients! A couple of slices of avocado tops it off! Wow! It comes with home fries and toast. A really big meal that I would even eat for dinner if they were open. Alas, they are only open for breakfast and lunch so wake up and get moving! This place is great! I was very excited when I saw Delucas was opening in Robinson as I am always anxious for a delicious non-chain venue. Two weeks ago my family went to DeLucas for breakfast. We arrived at 830 am and beat the crowd. Service was awful! We waited 15 minutes before we asked what we wanted to drink. We finally order and the food comes out staggered. My two sons get their meals (pancakes) and my wife and I wait a few more minutes for ours. Most of her meal comes (no bread which was needed for the eggs), and my pancakes were no where to be found. The remainder of our food finally comes to our table. Bottom line service was awful. Food was ok. I will not rush back and will go out of my way to get to Pamela's for breakfast! read more

Large delicious portions. I had the famous breakfast burrito with hot sausage and Housefries. So good! The portion of meat was insane. They get it from a local source, it's delicious! The food is amazing! Take your time to read the menu. SO many crazy choices. The portions are huge. Man vs. Food plays on a constant loop on some of the TVs. It's clean. Colorful. Fast service. The Superbowl is a creative omelet filled with keilbasa, onions, tomatoes, mashed potatoes and is served with a side of sauerkraut and hot apples. Wow! We will definitely be back. I have eaten at DeLuca's in the Strip District so I was anxious to try this location. I was meeting a friend for lunch. When I saw that they had Biscuits and Gravy on the menu I was totally psyched!! I took my daughter to breakfast. As we went to put our names on the list a gentleman and his wife asked us if that is what we were waiting to do and I responded yes. We put our name on the list and was told there would be a 10 minute wait. A little later a woman calls the couple's name who were on the list behind us! We were both a party of 2. I am not blaming them for taking the table even though he KNEW we were on the list in front of him and we were standing right beside him when they called his name. The fault is squarely on the establishment. What a shame this world is coming to when people will not do the right thing but I get it. This was a teachable moment for my daughter who will be going out in the world next fall on her own. Pay attention to people in your job and pay attention and do the right thing to others. Passed through Pittsburg today, I really wanted to go to the original in the strip district, however, traveling with a 4 year old and new born, and with the parking issues in the strip district we opted for their other location near the mall in park manor. My son and, I split the banana praline pancakes topped with ice cream and whip cream. First of all the pancakes by themselves tasted like a doughnut or a cake. Than you add the pralines and bananas along with some kind of rum, and you get a masterpiece. The pancakes reminded a little bit of a banana foster. We ordered a side of eggs and bacon and both were a cut above the rest, not your typical bacon and eggs. My wife and mother and law ordered the seafood paradise crepe, and the seafood omelette. Both came with a cheesy hollandaise that was absolutely delicious. Both came with langostino's, shrimp, and lump crab meat. Everyone absolutely loved their meal. They didn't charge extra for hot chocolate refills, and that's a winner in my book. I ate fried eggs, sausage, pancakes, and had coffee, and I loved it all - but diner food is sorta my thing. I love it as long as it ain't bad, and this was good. There was a mistake on one of the ordered meals, and the server took the plate away (for good) saying she'd adjust the tab, but then she took off maybe $2 rather than the cost of the meal we didn't eat or take with us. I wasn't the one paying the bill, and this fact was confusing to the point at which I didn't understand that's what she did until it wasn't worth going back to address. (If you take someone's mostly-full plate without offering a replacement, you gotta take that whole order off the tab...). Apart from that oddity and some wet silverware, the meal was priced reasonably and the food was good - I'd surely go back. read more

We come here every Sunday after Cycle Bar. We love it! There home fries are nice and crisp cooked on the grill (not deep fried). They use Mancini's bread (try the raisin toast). I normally always get a custom made omelette, although they have a lot to choose from. My holiday favorite is the pumpkin pancake drizzled with cream cheese icing. The decor was cute and the inside was much bigger than I expected for being in a strip mall! The food was delicious, just as I would get in the Strip! I love the food at Deluca's and the prices are great but with generous portion sizes. However, I was shocked to see all COVID precautions out the window. This was the first crowded restaurant I've been to in a long time due to COVID and most places are still making efforts to keep people spaced out or ask people to wear masks when at the hostess stand area, etc. but not here. We were at first seated near the entrance and the crowd of people waiting got bigger and bigger so it started to surround our table so people were all pushed up against our chairs and one person even hit me in the back with their giant shoulder bag. When I tried to shift my chair a bit to get comfortable and away from the person with the giant bag, I accidentally bumped into the 2 other people standing directly behind me and they flipped out. I asked them nicely to please give our table some space and they got so angry and started yelling at me over my table unmasked saying it was me that bumped into them (which was true but they shouldn't have been leaning into the back of my chair)! I have been the the Strip District location several times in the past and always left satisfied, so I figured I would feel the same going to the Robinson location. We walked in and asked if we would be able to sit at the empty counter. Our server came over within a minute and we ordered coffee. The menu is quite extensive, so we asked for a few minutes to figure out what to order for our breakfasts. My husband got waffles, eggs and bacon. I opted for the banana prailenes & cream crepes with a side of scrambled eggs. It wasn't busy, so everything came out rather quickly. My food was really tasty and worth the $9 for the crepe. I was only able to finish half of it. My husband's meal was big in comparison to other places, but he wasn't full and said it definitely wasn't his favorite breakfast. The server was nice, but she wasn't very attentive once we got our food. Her and another server sat at the end of the counter and shot the breeze most of the time. I understand it was slow for them due to the cold weather, but I feel they should have been cleaning something or found something productive to do. That's IMO though.... Food was good overall, but it is really pricey, especially for breakfast. Give it a try if you want, but know there are other cheaper places if you're on a budget. read more

Came here while traveling for business with co-workers for breakfast. It definitely has the diner feel and is located in a strip mall. I wasn't sure what to expect given some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised so I'm happy I made my own opinion. Service was good and prices were even better. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and were seated immediately. We all had a hard time deciding what to order because their menu was so large. I ordered the breakfast burrito and per my usual requested that certain items be omitted. This was the only time in my life I will admit that I shouldn't have done that! I was envious as I saw everyone else's burrito come out because mine was plain and boring. Overall, my party agreed the food was good but nothing to write home about.
