He told me he would try to have someone out Sat or, for sure, Sun/Mon. He called me back a few minutes later and said John would be there at 8am Sat morning. This was all after 10 pm on Friday! John was on time (early, actually!) and explained the whole process. In less than 2-hours our new water heater was installed and good to go. I said a goodbye to my 1996 model and thanked John. I have been holding off on this review for a while because I was waiting to see just how in the…read morehole I was going to be for using these services, but I am about at the point where I'm not even entirely sure these guys aren't just a scam. I had a new HVAC installed in 2024 when my old one finally broke. Of course, this happened in the middle of a Sacramento heatwave. Of course, they had me over a barrel and I needed something fixed immediately. To their credit, they did order the unit and install it extremely quickly. It also broke down an hour later. I chalked that up to just accidental installation issues. The guys came back, made some adjustments and the unit worked fine... For about another 6 months and then the thermostat broke down. So, with my 10 year warranty they came back to fix the wires in the thermostat. And then the Thermostat broke again and we had it replaced with a different model. And then the unit broke down in the winter another time and had to be patched. And today I woke up and even with the thermostat turned entirely off the unit was just blowing hot air out at maximum strength until we finally just climbed up and unplugged the whole thing in the attic. Every time we need something fixed it takes 5-7 days to get someone out to fix it. That's 5-7 days without air conditioning in a Sacramento summer or without heat in some of the coldest months we have. Can we survive? Sure. Is that what I paid over $15,000 for? Absolutely not. At this point I am fairly certain I was sold faulty equipment. In trying to just get someone out urgently to unplug the whole unit in the attic so we weren't just living with heat on full blast in the house for the next 5 days, I talked to one human being who tried very hard to be helpful, and one AI script logger they have set up as a customer service rep. That's right. They're literally using AI to communicate with clients, take messages, send texts, and relay inaccurate information. At one point the AI sent me a text to say someone was coming over in the evening to unplug the unit. 10 minutes before 5pm an actual person called to leave a message saying no technician was actually coming. Frankly, I've had it with this nonsense. I paid a not insubstantial amount of money for a heating and air system in my home and I expect that it will not break multiple times a year.

Super Bros was not the cheapest, but very competitive with the lowest quote. There were a few reasons we went with Super Bros. First, they got started on my whole house re-pipe the next week. The other company had me waiting for more than a month. The other reason is because Super Bros was super communicative and explained the whole process before it started, asked lots of questions about my preferences, and was incredibly transparent about every details and process. My primary point of contact for this job was Jeremy. He was actually another reason that I went with Super Bros, as I never felt like he was trying to upsell anything or push me into doing something I didn't want or need. He was clear about where there were options and where he has seen challenges from a project like mine in the past. His experience and demeanor were what locked it in for me. After agreeing to use Super Bros, the next week I was met by Mike, who walked through with me as he was point on the project. I work from home so I was around for the entire thing, but I can honestly say that there was barely any disruption to my workday. Yes, the water was off for one of the 3 days of work, but other than that and the expected noise of cutting out metal pipes here and there, the disruption was nearly invisible. I was also greeted by Serge and Denis who were handling different parts of the project. Both incredibly polite and obviously damn good at their jobs. This was NOT some group of minimum wage kids subcontracted to do the work. every one of these guys was an experienced and efficient tradesman from what I could tell (admittedly I'm, not a plumber, but you could tell that they were professionals by the quality of their work, their speed, and some of the challenges my house provided that they were able to find workarounds for). You can probably tell that I'd recommend Super Bros for your next plumbing project, but in case there was any question: you should use Super Bros for your next plumbing project. Highly recommend!

Read to the end The…read moresewer line was backed up and initially I had a reputable company come out to snake it and clear the pipe. The tech did what he could and ran into an obstruction. He recommended hydro jetting it for an additional $485 and then sending a camera through (another $250) to take photos to make sure the line was clear. I decided to get a second opinion and luckily found Dustin at Honest Sewer and Drain. He came out to the house the same day, was able to take a photo (for NO Charge) without hydro jetting and locate the problem as a root ball growing into the pipe. He snaked and cut out the roots and the line is flowing again. All for $270 (after a 10 percent discount)! No hydro jetting, no charge for the photos. The next day the bathtub line was clogged and he came out and got it flowing again. No additional charge! Hard to believe but it's true. Dustin is in it for the long haul - he understands that a business is built on delivering competent, professional and honest service. So refreshing to work with Dustin and his team - highly recommend!
