They did their job and then quoted me a price that I thought was a bit high. I went through my warranty company to see if they would fix that, only to find out they sent out a vendor that couldn't find the cracks. I called Cozy home for a third opinion and they were there soon and not only demonstrated that I needed a new unit for safety reasons but offered me a complete system for $10,500 less than the first vendor. Not only did they make the safety of my family their priority, but installed it quickly safely and as I said before for $10,500 less than the first vendor. Mark was great with the initial inspection and I'm glad he was able to make the recommendation. . I'm happy with the system. The install team was awesome as well. Got the whole thing done in a day. They took my money, failed final inspection, and have not come back to fix it…read more I see the owner, Jason, replied to another person with a similar problem that they "do not have any Install's that are left incomplete." This is not true, at least in my case, and I'm happy to give him the permit number if he gives ME a call--I'm tired of calling and emailing and getting not reply. I hired Cozy Home Services in January 2026 to swap my ducted gas furnace for a heat pump at my home in Oakland. The main installation went smoothly, but what followed has been deeply frustrating. When it was time for final inspection, they told me to schedule it myself, even though their contract says they do the permits. The first inspection failed with nine correction items. It took weeks of follow-up and the intervention of a third party for me to get Cozy Home to send someone out to make the fixes. When the technician arrived, it was clear they had not reviewed the correction notice or checked with the city. He asked me what needed to be fixed, then called his manager for guidance, and ultimately said he would do what he could and 'we'll see how it goes.' They even installed the wrong fix--an unnecessary second breaker box on the outside of the house. That second inspection (which I also had to schedule) failed with six items still outstanding. These are not complicated fixes, either--things like swapping in a GFCI breaker, putting in a proper p-trap on the condensation drain, and other items that are listed right in the blower installation manual. That second failure was six months ago. They have not come back and the permit is still not finaled. During the installation, they also cut up my existing filter box rather than replacing it with a properly sized unit as they promise under their own "right size guarantee." They removed the side of the box and replaced it with a loose sheet of metal, ruining the latching, gasketed door to the filter slot. Now I have to untape the door to change the filter, then tape it shut again. This is not a permanent or professional solution. I have made repeated attempts to get them to work with the city. Their responses are sporadic and commitments are not kept. The equipment itself seems fine. The problem is entirely with follow-through, workmanship on the details, and responsiveness after the sale.

I had a very easy experience getting an on-site quote. I received 3 quotes for this job. 2 quotes, including this one, came in around $7100. I went with a third one at around $6700 (which included an additional mixing valve) and am very happy with my decision. Overall price was not a big part of my decision, but brand of water heater was. After doing some research online, the most recommended brands are AO Smith and Rheem (GE). Both higher quotes were for Navien, which has only been making heat pump water heaters for 1 year, but I was told that it is the most reliable brand. I did not understand how this claim could be made, given how short the duration of evaluation for this product. Even the worst appliances usually work for at least a year. So I requested a quote for AO Smith or Rheem, which I did not get. I'm not sure why my brand request was not honored, but it made me question whether I should go with a company that either has communication issues or maybe some type of deal with Navien that I was not informed about. Many water heater installers are preferred installers of certain brands, which means they can get better pricing, etc. I did not want to be a guinea pig for Navien.

I called Precision Plumbing and they came out the same day within a few hours. Leo was very professional and started right away. He was able to snake the main sewer line and found the problem (so we thought). He gave me advice on how to help keep the pipes clean. I thanked him and that was that. But the next night around 9pm, the shower and toilets started to over flow. Luckily the toilet water was just water. But the shower pipes started to back flow dirt and sludge. I called Leo again. And he showed up in about 30 minutes. He snaked the pipe again and found a second clog that was the main suspect. Once he cleared the second clog the pipes went back to normal. He apologized for not getting the second clog the first time and did not charge me anything for going back on the second call. Over all I am satisfied with precision plumbing. I will use them again in the future.

With both toilets down I called him around 230pm, his tech came in around an hour later and was able to resolve everything for a great price and everything was very cleanly done by Larry in a few hours. I had been quoted on yelp $600 to 700 4/23 to change the toilet valve, and I had assumed snaking the drain/ repairing the other toilet would be 1200 to 1500, + the overflow had popped the toilet wax seal, and precision plumbing got all those things done for under 1000$.
