I honestly can't given Dennis anything other than 5 stars. This is the second time we've had him out. the first was for a leak in one of our pipes. This call was for a clogged kitchen sink. Dennis is very good at communicating and he was quick and efficient with resolving the issue. He originally said he couldn't come out until the next day. Dennis was super responsive when I first contacted him about replacing our water heater and once I agreed to the estimate we figured out an installation day quickly. We had a very difficult water heater to remove, in the middle of a stairwell with a very small landing, and being 20 years old, the heater was super heavy with sediment. As the old heater was being carried out, it broke and hit the floor, causing a very minor mark on our newly replaced floors. This was a complete accident but Dennis clearly felt bad and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the service. They did a great job installing the new heater and I will definitely recommend DS plumbing to anyone I know and would definitely use them again in the future. We have our water heater finally give out after 11 years and made some calls on a Friday morning looking for some last minute help so we could avoid having to take cold showers in the middle of winter. I live in the Bay Area and needed to find a plumber in the Sacramento area to figure out why the kitchen sink in my sister's house there wasn't draining. She had plumbers come in twice, and both times after they snaked the line, the sink almost immediately started backing up again. The second plumber recommended hydro-jetting the line next, for which he would have charged more than $1,300 the first hour alone, with no guarantee that it would solve the problem. After checking out the Yelp reviews of plumbers, I gave Dennis a call and asked him to determine if the line really needed to be hydro-jetted. Although my sister's house was a little outside his regular service area, Dennis agreed to go out and see what he could do. In less than an hour after promptly arriving at the scheduled time, he had water flowing down the drain no problem. Turned out there was broken glass inside the garbage disposal that had blocked the flow, so he removed it and repaired the disposal. All for a very reasonable service call cost. That was two weeks ago and the sink still works fine.
