Felt very scammy. Quoted $350 for kitchen sink clog. Couldn't fit the snake through because of old pipe size. Tried so hard it caused a leak. Quote $2500 for a pipe replacement and $350 to move the dishwasher during the replacement. Said no. Was charged $100 to have them come out and screw it up. Leak goes away when the plumber leaves. Second plumber $300 for original clog and $300 to install clean out to perform the action. Didn't even try to snake from the sink itself. I'd avoid this company unless desperate. read more

I called many plumbers and these guys were the only ones who not only answered their phone, but were able to come out in a reasonable time. They resolved my initial issue and also noticed a larger problem, namely tree roots growing in the pipes that flow out to the sewer. They were able to get back out there the next business day and got all the roots taken care of. On top of being fast and efficient, everyone was super nice. The Owner who is the plumber explained fee for job on phone. My toilet had overflowed and flooded the bathroom so I agreed for him to come out. He immediately went to the root system in the underground plumbing connection and said it was that and the cost would be $2500 rather than first start to snake the toilet which would possibly be the problem and LESS money. He said the cost for doing so was 45 and I thought that included cleaning up the water. I had initially requested cleanup as I said I was too old and needed that done. He snaked the toilet and found a washcloth and cleaned up the water. Then he said the fee was $970 and that I agreed to it. Prior to the work he DID NOT Give Me a WRITTEN estimate to sign. Nor did he give me a receipt. He said his verbal quote of 45 did not include cleanup. How was I to understand that? I am 83 yrs old and needed a written quote which he said on a follow up phone call of my complaint - "So Sorry I didn't do that." I initially did not ask as I trusted him ax I thought the fee was minor. After he left the toilet kept running. I called him back and he returned after much arguing. He then lifted the tank cover and discovered a small peripad. Who knows how That happened but somehow during nite it caused back flow and my daughter who owns the house was told that was the real problem. He then said that would have been a charge also and then removed the pad easily by picking it out. WOE is me.!!!Bye that time I thought How easy is that for a complete initial diagnostic which did not include looking into the tank! Woe is me!! Andrew was at my mom's house within an hour of calling. He quickly had his crew together and got to work. Unfortunately for my mom it was a huge job. When I say huge, I'm not joking. All of the pipes under the house had to be replaced therefore everything else above ground was impacted. Andrew explained everything that needed to be done very clearly and why. He also understood that my mom was confused about much of what was happening, but never treated her with anything but respect and kindness. There was no cutting corners or just putting a bandage on the problem. Everyone that I dealt with from Riley on the phone to Andrew, Jesus, Zach and Juan were very professional and kind. We just had Taylor come out to our home for the 4th time today, this is in the course of a year or so for different jobs. We have an older home and it needs a lot of TLC. Taylor was once again very professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. We had an appointment window of 2-4 pm but he was able to come out sooner (10:30) which was awesome. This company is very up front with pricing and if there are different options, they will give you those too, which we really appreciate!! This time we had some pin hole leaks in our water intake pipe. Taylor does excellent work and then takes the time to answer questions and explain what might help to prevent future issues. In 2021 this company came out to my mother's home. Put shark bite fittings and hoses throughout the house, left all of the old water lines hanging and laying on the ground. Charged her over $11,000 dollars and only gave warranty for 3 years. And also charged a extra fee of $640.00 just for a finance charge. Which I immediately called the company and informed them of the charge and was told it was a mistake apologizes to me and promised it would be refunded back to us and IT NEVER WAS REFUNDED. I continued to call them and ask about it when a manager got on the phone and refused to speak to me any more. Told me I could just talk to their lawyer. Which they did not provide his name. This company is a complete rip off. They did not secure places where they cut open the floor to run their plastic lines. My mother had rodents in her home because of this company not completing their job right. I personally would never recommend this company to do work for anyone. It is now 2025 and we found water underneath my mom's house yet again??? So we called Dependable Rooter out of Rocklin and spoke with Andrew who is APPARENTLY a supervisor there. He came out with another employee and looked at the leak and proceeded to tell us if we would have had copper fittings put in we would not have this problem. However, this was not offered for the shower fittings. They already had problems with this area when they were here in 2021, and had us go purchase another shower package so they could attach the shark bites that they had on the truck. So not only did it cost us over $11,000.00, it also cost us the price of a new shower package. They told us today however they wanted to put copper in the shower area and that it was $1,100.00 dollars...!! Really? What person in their right state of mind would even want to pay any more on their water line after being over charged for the lines in the first place. read more

We had Dependable Rooter & Plumbing come out to clear our drain this past Monday. We were so fortunate to have Taylor as our Technician. He was friendly, professional and honest. Taylor was also very adept at providing some education on the processes of what was required for our service and other important info. During the service it was discovered that we didn't have a proper clean-out system, actually no clean out at all because our home is so old. Dependable quoted us for installing a clean-out system - we agreed to the terms and Taylor came back a few days later to install the new clean-out system. We had another great experience during this job. Taylor explained what he was going to do and kept me informed at all the major steps. WATCH OUT! My wife's signature was forged on the initial invoice without our knowledge of receipt! SO much for being honest and dependable! Unjustified work costs! We called because of water hammering in our sprinkler irrigation. Work cost and time spent was over exaggerated. Tech turned the water off while our pool pump was running which fried our run capacitor. They denied cause of course. Wish the tech knew to assess an area before shutting off water, would have saved us another $50 that we needed to spend on a new run capacitor. Another issue is that we were charged $448 for the tech to dig around an existing hole. Our outside irrigation pipes that show above ground had an access hole to the underground irrigation which is what the tech needed to get to. The company is trying to say the tech needed to dig an additional 2 feet by 2 feet...Since we already had an access hole to the underground irrigation pipes, the tech opened the lid and cleared away minimal debris, yet we are being charged $448 for "2x2 digging". I asked the Tech why he didn't mention the cost of this upfront and he had no response! ROBBERY! read more

My toilet started backing up yesterday so I called Dependable Rooter & Plumbing. They showed up the next morning at 8am to fix the problem. Anyone who has had a backed up toilet knows the need to have it fixed ASAP. Dependable showed up, diagnosed the problem (combination of tree roots and offset pipe), then fixed the problem, all within an hour or so. I called at 1130 with an emergency toilet issue and spoke with a very professional and helpful Francesca! By 1245, Andrew and Zachary were at my front door. They did a quick assessment of my home and had a lot of high tech gadgets, like a camera that went down our pipes, to help identify where my blockage was occurring.
