Just Make the Appointment - They're the Ones! We had an emergency gas leak after turning on the heat for the first time this year and had about eight people come in for bids, with the highest being $16k (Yes, that was Bonney). Crowley came in, ran their own tests, and determined the issue could be fixed for under $5k. It was a little higher than Armstrong Plumbing, but Travis and Jermaine were so personable and professional that we preferred to work with them - and we definitely didn't regret it. Jermaine worked on the house for 13 HOURS after discovering that the issue was much worse than expected (estimating repairs to be about twice as costly). Still, Crowley HONORED their original estimate and got the job done the next day! They dealt with numerous challenges, from inspectors to groundwork, all while working around our busy schedules and handling everything with grace. I was incredibly impressed by their team and their day-and-night efforts, even coming back between emergency jobs to make sure our house was safe and the project was finished on time. The longest delay we had was waiting for an inspector and PG&E to come back and turn the gas back on. We'll definitely be using Crowley for all our future projects! Travis installed a new hot water heater and coordinated with the City of Truckee for the permitting process, installed 2 new toilets and repaired drains in 2 sinks in our home in Tahoe Donner, Truckee. He coordinated communication between my husband, myself, our tenant (all very different schedules), and the inspector to facilitate timeliness of the project and ease for everyone. The hot water heater needed to be of a specific size and installed in a tight space, navigating quartz countertops. He uses quality products and the warranty is great on the work and product (10 years). His work and the warranty for each product is clearly detailed in writing. He installed an emergency electrical disconnect and drain line to the exterior of the home as well. Clearly upgraded what was existing in terms of the quality of the work. In terms of pricing, I received 2 other quotes from 5-star yelp plumbers and they were all within $100 with the same products. My husband really wanted to go with Travis because of the warranty and his responsiveness. He always answers the call with any questions and is very patient and really goes above and beyond to ensure we are happy with his work.
