I am so very pleased with the excellent service of Auburn Plumbing! Late Sunday afternoon an irrigation hose bib blew at my home, and Dave walked me through how to shut off my well pump so that it wouldn't be damaged. And first thing this morning Dylan was at my door ready to fix the problem, as well as replacing a leaky toilet stopper. I have used Auburn Plumbing for both my home and my rental house for many years, and trust them completely. They never disappoint, and often will provide me valuable tips for future use. For example, who knew that that pretty blue toilet tank cleaner is actually bad for the tank. Dylan shared that this morning. Dave is great. First over the phone, he guided us in some trouble-shooting steps we could do on our own to save time and money. This might be the best customer service experience I have ever had in the home repair industry. My wife and I own an older home and over the course of the last few years we have become pretty good at repairing most things, however we were forced to tackle a well pump on a Sunday in the middle of pouring rain. While we thought we were on the right path, we ultimately decided to call an expert as we were making no progress, drenched, and utterly frustrated. My elderly (86 yo), forgetful, but still living by himself Father's water went out AND, in addition, a leak was accidentally created in an older metal water pipe that ran down to his neighbors house. All of this occurring in a part of Auburn where the irrigation ditch water is used and shared via "party lines" that have been in existence for over 50 years. We called Auburn Plumbing (Dave) and he sent us Jay. Jay was fabulous! First, he very quickly fixed the leak to the neighbors house (done in about 25-30 minutes). Then he moved on as he was tenaciously determined to find the source of the blockage (that could have been in any of the underground pipes that passed through several neighbors properties covering 3-5 acres). He shifted back and forth between the "distribution box" and my Dad's property tracing multiple pipelines along neighboring fence lines (with their ever vigilant,protective watch dogs barking their warnings at him) to determine the source of the blockage. Oh! And let me not forget to mention that this is all located on a hill with a steep incline! Well, to make a long story even longer- Jay was able to find and clear the blockage on day one. He then came back the next day to fix both my Dad's toilet and bathroom sink (both fixed within a couple of hours). He did this all while being "supervised" by my ever watchful Dad (who is hard of hearing which makes communicating difficult) and two nervous Nelly daughters (me and my sister). Jay did all this hard work with great patience and humor. He also was extremely respectful to my Dad and neighbors (a retired Lieutenant Colonel and his wife - who thankfully provided a map of the pipes). All this and to top it off a senior discount for my Dad. What a relief to have the problems solved in such an efficient manner. Highly recommend! read more
