I highly recommend Leak on Lock Plumbing. Our showers and toilets were clogged, so I reached out to Mike on a Friday evening and he made time to come help us the next Saturday morning. The most helpful thing was not only that he snaked the pipe and cleared the clog, but took the time to troubleshoot the issues to avoid us having to experience the same issue again. He put a camera through the pipes and we could actually see what was causing the clog. He found a couple of metal pieces stuck in the pipes that were causing the issue with the shower/toilet clogs, and he managed to push them out with his equipment. Even though our main reason for hiring a plumber was fixed, he went above and beyond to make sure nothing else was causing a blockage. With his camera, he could see something else stuck in the pipe that was coming from our kitchen area. He went to the other cleanout and a long metal piece was in our pipe, which was definitely causing reduced water flow from the kitchen. He used his equipment to fix the issue for us before one could even start. Overall his service provides a great value not only for the money, but the piece of mind knowing the root cause of the clog is fixed. I really appreciate his transparency in showing us what he could see through the cameras. I reached out to Leak on Lock and a few other water-heater-related plumbing companies. We needed a very old solar water heater on the roof drained and capped off from the water heater so that the roofing company could safely remove it. Mike from Leak on Lock responded immediately and gave me a quote based on the pictures and videos I sent him. Then we talked on the phone and discussed the option of replacing the water heater as well since it was nearly 23 years old. With more pictures to that end, he gave me what I considered a very fair price for the new Rheem 40-gallon water heater, the same as what we currently have, with a new basin, as well as capping off the lines going to and from the solar water heater. All these discussions were completed on Thursday morning. I then told Mike that my husband and I would sleep on it. I texted Mike right after noon the next day to approve the project. He ordered the unit, came the following Tuesday shortly after 9 AM, and completed the project by noon. We were about an hour without water. The hot water was ready before he left, and the lines were cleanly capped off. He had to drain not only the water heater but also about 40 gallons in the solar heater on the roof. The only extra was the cost of a valve, which was $65. Mike never took a break, worked diligently on the hot day, and completed the work faster than we had expected. He then gave us a detailed overview of the water heater and its warranties. I wholeheartedly recommend Mike for any plumbing projects. Mike was just out at my house this morning to take care of a few plumbing issues, and I'm very happy with the work he did. My situation wasn't urgent -- I just needed him to replace 8 faucet cartridges in 4 bathroom sinks to take care of slow drips -- but he was able to come take care of it very quickly once I'd ordered and received the cartridges. I hired a plumbing company to clear my clogged kitchen and laundry drain line. They snaked it and looked in it and saw something that looked like a broken pipe. They told me they can't proceed any further for fear of getting their camera stuck. They did clear the kitchen drain but left my laundry line still clogged and gave me a quote to fix my pipe in the thousands. The first time was to fix another leak that was coming from a pipe within the walls of my garage.
